Karl you are bloody klever. You would make a great Trade School teacher. You’re likeable you speak well and you know what you are doing. I’m very impressed with you.
Wowie McZowie! Skill and artistry. Stunning design and fabrication. I am awed! Go Japhands, Keep moving forward and can't wait to see what's coming next!
Hey Karl, I so enjoy watching you do your stuff. You know what you want or expect from materials and tools. You do not accept anything but perfection. Thank you for making the great videos you bring to us. Work Safe, Be Well Enjoy Life
Karl it's really nice lookin real good. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep forge Lit. Keep Making. God bless.
I just wanted to let you know. I have tried the 3M cubitron II Roloc 3 inch 36 gtit. Lasts a long time sanding metal down. Thank you for introducing this product on your channel. Cheers
Artistry at it's very best. You, Karl, are a craftsman with a talent not many people can achieve. Watching you with your skill is mesmerizing. Thanks for sharing Mate. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
Hi Karl. Maybe you should think about making those metal shaping stakes to sell. Just get them cast off. And people who buy them can clean them up. Just a thought.
Make it Kustom ART Karl Fisher. It's cool you share your thought process and mistakes it's all part of the creative adventure. I needed a chill day so I watched some old Karl Videos and loved the Baby Buick build , Man that plasma speeds up Prototyping. I regret selling my 46 Chevy pickup when moving interstate. I Freaken Lurve that 46 Chev Cab over Tow Truck and the road trip with Benny to California.
Just shows you how much work and time goes into small pieces. Noticed it took about 3.5 to 4 hrs (going by the clock on your wall) to do that piece. Love learning from you even at my age of 50. Wished I had done fabrication metalwork when I was a kid. Cheers
I take great pleasure watching both the shape and form come together as you work the sheet. I've really seen a lot come out in your detail work. Lot's of patience displayed in every bit of time. This piece has really come together, I didn't see it until it just fell into place in the end. Thanks for some great detailed explanations. This grill piece is really shaping up beautifully!
@Make It Kustom Thanks for another great video, with yet another fantastic piece of "sheet metal sculpting". But I must admit that I feel a bit intimidated by how easy and straight forward You make it all appear. :) Best regards.
So the thing with using a piece of rod or pipe in the brake to make a curved bend 11:34 ish. I was taught that one slightly differently, and in a way that’d be easier to reproduce. You weld a piece of flat bar to the rod/tube, grip that in the brake with your sheet metal underneath, and then adjust the moving part of the brake down so you’ve got clearance to fold around the round form. Assuming your brake has this sort of adjustment. For bigger curves, like using scaffold pole as the form, you’d cut the round former in half to allow it to sit closer to the lip of the brake. (Words are hard, picture’d be simpler :D ) Not that I’m claiming to some metal shaping expertise, that’s probably my one trick!
I have only had a play on those Magnetic clamping folders. And they are really good for putting pipes in the fold zone for perfect radius'$ curves 12.7mm to 42mm 🇦🇺
Yeah, I could see that working much better. In fact, I’m sure mine moved because it was ready right it had less surface area to touchdown less clamping force on the rod to keep it from moving.
I was thinking after looking at what you are doing for the umpteenth time and it dawned on me; the grill splitter may be more uniform with the windshield frame if it were inverted with the bulkier portion at the bottom like the WS frame and the more delicate portion at the top also like the WS frame.
Karl, another great job 😮. I took your advice and I am building a bead roller of your design, changed a couple of things, making the shafts out of model A DRIVE SHAFTS that are 1 1/8 “ in diameter, making the rolls so the will adjust to give me different profiles. Would like to send you pictures when I am done , how can I do that so you will get them? Once again thanks for all your knowledge.
Fantastic work. Wonder if you could move the car closer so you don’t have to walk so much. Looking forward to the next video to get ideas on solving a problem on some fenders.
Awesome work as always, bro it started to look like you was making a tesla emblem for a minute. 😂 keep it up and congrats on your hammer and kit, thats sweet stuff. Love how you share your skills and oopses with us too!
Maybe the name of this A should be the Norseman. As others have said didn’t think you could improve a 32 grill. But your vision and artistic eyes can see more than most. Take care. Tim.
Hey Karl, I have got a lot of great tips from watching. I have been considering making a power hammer after watching you build yours and use some others lately. I really liked the simplicity you showed in the making of the custom dies for repeatable body lines. The power hammer looks like it would be very versatile and replace multiple tools. Did you use the Shape-O-Matic and small planishing in this video as they were convenient to use over the power hammer? Thanks for the great video's, Phil.
This is Atom with your hat. Good job on the car.
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
That Grill splitter is a work of art. Beautiful piece. Respect.🙏
Thanks, it just amazes me.
Wait, wait, wait, wait and wait!! Dang! ReeEEeEeeEE! I wanted to see how the inside nostril pieces compliment the FLOW!
Why?
Love the FLOW!
Next video! I’m loving how it’s coming together
Karl you are bloody klever.

Excellent job Karl Looks great
Great job 👍👍👍👍
Thats so cool!!.Amazing one off piece!.
Nice grille and the metal working is first class as it fits
Funny how speeded up video demonstrates the movement of the metal better than real time. Nice clip.
Nice work, impressive,

Billy , you are too kind! I appreciate you very much and I’m very lucky to do what I do
Hi Karl. Maybe you should think about making those metal shaping stakes to sell.

Yes, I thought about creating them!
Great job Quinn , really enjoy your video's , I learn something every time , thank you

We call it a una shear, excellent tool for cutting metal. Use one for decades.👍

I was skeptical of the split idea, I wanted to like it but couldn't envision it. As its coming together... ABSOLUTELY KILLER!
Thanks glad you see it!

good job man 👍💪
Amazing Job! Congrats from Brazil!
You are a true craftsman
Thanks for sharing, always interesting!!
I love my makita shear as well.I hope you enjoyed your trip down under
JJ😎
You make it look so easy lol , it’s looking sweet
👍
✌
looks like you have had a clear out to make room like my workshop got a bit cluttered the grill looks good 😎👌🤘
Clearing out helps clear mind
You should mount a Dane Axe coming out the top/front of that top piece.
Nice work!
You sure do some nice work.👍

Yeah David, I tried with one of those as well and holy they are incredible
I'm liking it, nice going
Awesome job
👍👍👍👍
Nice job 👍
Nice work on a difficult piece
Slap hands has got talent he's an artist who's medium is metal.
I believe you meant "Jap Hands"! 😂
F Awesome! I think you should think about a little something on the hood between the windscreen and the grill????
Are you thinking like a peak?
@@MakeItKustom yes maybe a peak to tie the to feature together or is it to much?
Some amazing metal forming. You have a talent for making the metal do what you want it to do. Love the way the split grill is coming out great job.
Nice been working on a 37 model a aswell

doesn't get much better than that :)
Fantastic work. Wonder if you could move the car closer so you don’t have to walk so much. Looking forward to the next video to get ideas on solving a problem on some fenders.
Always great videos but let's see how you designed, made and installed you rear cantilevers on your shop rod.
Karl! I realy think that the straps, in the mother tucker kit, are not needed, I’m like, if a person is in to fabricating, they can make the straps.
Yeah, I’m sure they could make the straps. But it’s just so easy when you can just roll into a lumber yard and grab chunks of wood and be ready to go
Awesome work as always, bro it started to look like you was making a tesla emblem for a minute. 😂 keep it up and congrats on your hammer and kit, thats sweet stuff. Love how you share your skills and oopses with us too!

Yes mad fabrication all round
Awesome
Buen trabajo amigo
looking amazing!, it may need a kustom hood ornament?
You made a Tesla symbol. Cool!
Ha ha pretty much
You got the mad skills! Downright angry!😠
Beautiful!!! I am in awe of your talents. How many hours went into this (approximately)?
I have about four hours into the shaping seen in this video
Kind of looks like a 1930s BMW with the grill splitter
Couldn't help but notice the 2"X72" belt sander in the background. Did you build it yourself? If so maybe you could make an episode on building one.
