As a huge Batman fan, If I was cast as a Batman villain I would take full advantage of the moment and have fun. To have the honor to portray such an iconic character would be so cool.
Penguin was like the best part of the series. He went from being a servant lapdog and turned into the Chaos Of Gotham.... his Origins are deep but with terrible pain and tragedy that even Batman can relate to. That's why Batman understand Penguin. Penguin would have been a good guy if he didn't have messed up people in his life.
Didn’t he go through a whole plan of ruining a random chef’s life in ridiculous ways just because he laughed kind of in Penguin’s direction? Doesn’t sound super sand to me.
You know, in reteospect his portrayal works as a precursor to the Colin Farrell one. I can totally see the Robin Lord Taylor version doing the "I GOT YOU! I got YOU!!" line from The Batman
He is almost a gangster version of Capt. Jack Sparrow. He seems like a clumsy buffoon, but is super witty and has a master plan that comes out of nowhere.
For a show that was supposed to be centered around Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon, he completely stole the show. He was so good he legit made himself THE main character in the first few seasons It’s a shame the character went downhill in the latter half but I think it’s cause the writers realized that they wrote him too well to begin with lol
he was amazing, i like the duality of the character, he's just a pathetic cripple that nobody respect, but in the end he always win, he's impulsive, he make mistake after mistake, but he's a mastermind always a step ahead, he's kinda sweet he just want friends but he's violent and can't handle his emotion
Best character of the show. I love how it shows him in the begining and his transition into the Penguin and his total psyche change.
Victor zsasz and you know it.
This guy has way too much fun in this role
ITS CUZ HES THAT BRILLIANT
@@sidhanthmuralidhar8963 okay sure 😀

Why didn't he get an Emmy for his role?
Because emmys and Oscars are pay to win
Emmys are a scam
That’s what my dad said
Because no one recognizes talent.
One of the main reasons to watch the show. The character was such a weenie
He certainly nailed this role. He deserved all of the praise.

Penguin is canonically the most sane character in the comics. They made him into one of the most insane characters in that show

He is the best character in the show hands down
Alfred and Jerome are comparable
Alfred pennyworth professeur pyg maroni Bullock>>>>>>>>
I love how every time Oswalt is telling the truth nobody believes him 😂 it makes the quarrels between characters funnier
Anybody on the show: You actually were telling the truth.
Oswald: I do that quite a lot, yet people are always surprised.
He is the reason this show has got whatever the views it has
Real shit
And Jerome and Alfred
@@lifeisberserk9566 they were good... But the outstanding performance of the 🐧 is what made to sit through the show..
True for being a reason it gets so many views, wrong he’s the only reason
Pengiun was the reason i watched gotham
*_SAAAAME_* 😭
Me too
He's the one starting all the problems in Gotham series
Best character in the show, hands down .
No
I love the sweat in on his upper mouth lips when in an intense situation
Robin Lord Taylor looks like Spider-Man 3's Emo Tobey Maguire on steroids or very very strong drugs. 🤣
From Abernathy in Accepted to Cobblepot/The Penguin in Gotham... dude really has some serious acting skills
Got I really want Robin Lord Taylor to do a full cover of "I wake up alone" by Amy Winehouse in character. We deserve it
I like him cuz he wears snappy smart suits

Best villain in Gotham

Penguins speech here is absolutely badass and hilarious.
I loved how virtually episode he got the crap beaten out of him 😅
Fave character in the series
As good as Burgess Meredith, Danny Devito & Colin Farrell are, this might be the best performance of The Penguin.
Oswalds dad Elijah vandahl was played by the late great Paul Reubens rip Paul
Robin Loyd Taylors performance in this role is so brilliant it hurts...
No
He was a good penguin too now they have another penguin
My absolute favorite portrayal of The Penguin ❤ unmatched
You haven't seen the new miniseries with Colin Ferrell yet have you? I think you would enjoy it.
As most people here I agree to give best character development to Oswald.

Robin played a really ally good badass gangster and villain
omg it’s The Outsider 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
Him and Nigma were my faves, the way they just ste up scenes was wild!
best character
Robin should have won a Emmy golden globe sag kids choice and mtv choice for badass villain award
No
From survivor of the zombie apocalypse, to awesome villain of Gotham. But imagine how good he would have been in ricks group...
Interesting definition of survivor. 😛
This penguin belongs in three days grace
Green day
I love this portrayal of the Penguin!!
Bro his walk. Why is nobody mentioning the walk???
Penguin played it perfect
No
Gotham was genuinely a great show, it really caught the dark, delusional and campy essence of Gotham City.
Until it didn’t anymore :(
Even erin should have won for favorite villainess she was also a badass
So cute! Aww
Maggie Geha as Ivy was a mood. I love her so much. However, I favor Peyton List’s ruthless mature Ivy more.
This is the best Penguin, they should have casted him for the Penguin show
he's the worst penguin and thank god matt reeves didn't take inspiration from him
Colin Farrel is far more convincing in general, seeme so forced the acting in Gotham to me
Cobblepot ❌ Cooblepot ✅
CapolPUT like his mom said 😂
Oswald "The Penguin" Cobblepot here kinda reminds me of the Russian mobster Dimitri Rascalov from Grand Theft Auto 4.
Actually gotham is story about penguin and his enemies
The outsider
Oswald is cute
