The fact Ned was cheating this whole time and Alex was there watching this and listening to Ariel’s insecurities. This makes me sick. Ariel deserves better.
And Ariel’s insecurities are just proof how Ned isn’t doing his job as a “loving husband” he portrays to be.
Seriously heartbreaking. It just speaks to the kind of person they really are. Ned's out and one can only hope the other does the right thing and sees themselves out of the business.
That is the thing. Alex was there seeing, listening, literally feeling all of the atmosphere, the tension what this episode done to the girls. And she was there, she was the producer, probably she helped cutting it, editing it, everything. Disgusting.

I agree with everything but the last sentence. I have dysphoria and body dysmorphia and although my partner can make me feel sexy when I'm with them, the moment I look in the mirror again it's all wiped away. Your partner is NOT responsible for curing your insecurities! Expecting them to be is actually incredibly toxic. While they can be there for you and be your rock when you need them to be, sometimes professional help is required in order to get rid of deep rooted insecurities.

Seeing their parents separate at a young age could cause unwanted and unforeseen consequences for the children. Now, none of us know the exact details as to why/how they're together but there's absolutely no denying Ned fumbled big time, and he should be ashamed.

💯 it kills me when other people don't see how beautiful they are but I also totally get it on a personal level. It's hard to see oneself with out noticing all the "flaws" but I really hope Rachel one day is able recognize her own beauty

Yeah I agree. Because tons of us know now that beauty isn’t cookie-cutter, but just like you shouldn’t have to self-deprecate for others you also shouldn’t have to cheerlead just to make the room more comfortable if you don’t feel like it. Sometimes I feel like if I don’t hype myself up I’m guilty of messing up.
My family took a family photo at the end of our vacation last summer and posted on Facebook the one photo I asked them not to post. When I mentioned that I didn't mind them posting a group photo, I just didn't want them to post that one, they were not understanding even a little bit, and made it seem like I was being ridiculous about it when I had every right to make the reasonable request to post another picture. I wish the people closest to us would be understanding when we feel insecure about something. It would make living with insecurities a lot less stressful, and I would do the same for them.
I love how real this was. This didn’t make all their insecurities go away, but they took a bold step out of their comfort zone and that’s so fucking brave. Women supporting women is my favorite thing.

It's so hard to get past watching Ariel talk about what she has been insecure about and see how Ned deliberately chose to be with someone who hasn't been through pregnancy, and is a lot younger. It's heartbreaking.
Can we replace Ned for Ariel? She is so supportive, so funny, so likeable that I just want to have her around more and would not be mad if they decide to keep Ariel in the try guy channel.

Allison is focused on the parts of her body she doesn’t like, while we’re all focused on how stunning her face is. She should go in to modeling. Everyone looked great in the final photoshoot shots.

I don't think they'll stop being friends her. I think it'll be a case of them being there for her regardless of what she chooses BUT if she stays with Ned, it'll be friendships at a distance which is still something but sad.

Can we talk about how people praised Rachel for being able to “bounce back” even though in reality she couldn’t eat or drink due to illness? We never know what people are truly going through and this is an example on how we should think twice about what we comment on
I had emergency surgery a week after birth and lost a ton of blood. I looked really skinny for being a week post partum and people kept commenting on it. It really sucked.
Totally agree!! Whenever I comment on a photo of someone, I always try to say things like you look so happy or so healthy. I never want to be the person that triggers or reinforces body dysmorphia.

i feel that comment head on ...when my mom's cancer hit her again, the first thing that was a visible symptom was her weight loss. but, most people just kept saying she looked prettier...like she was blooming. getting thinner is not always the same as getting healthier.
Yep! I had terrible health issues that caused drastic weight loss and people complementing me for it made me so uncomfortable and actually angry. It was like they were glad I was sick because it made me more appealing or something?
those make up artists weren't lying, Allison could totally be a model. literally breathtaking. when they were having her laugh during the shoot? angel on earth, holy crap.

She absolutely should like actually legitimately, not only is she incredibly beautiful and sexy, she also is fantastic at the actual art of modeling, she would be an excellent model of she's ever interested in doing it. But she's also just a hot human being, so she could just be that and not a model if she wants. 💕

As a fellow Jo, I love Joey! 😍😂❤️ Her sense of humor is everything. She also has the traits other Jo’s and Joey’s have: Jo March and JK Rowling are also incredibly funny and they don’t fit the mold of the stereotypical feminine female. We Jo’s have “guy” humor and are one of the guys. I think she had the best cover out of everyone. 😍

To Rachel: if you’re seeing this, you need to see how you’d look if you became your own biggest fan, instead of your worst critic. If you go in with a positive mindset, then it’s all about how you angle your body. In this particular case, Billie was leaning slightly forward with her left foot slightly in front of her right foot. Her positioning creates an hourglass figure due to the body positioning and the angle of the camera. You look amazing in the picture you took, but I think the reason you don’t like it might be that you went in with your self-criticism in the forefront of your mind instead of the positives or having fun. Ps you should be proud of your body, it is because of your body that your babies are here. Your body has performed miracles and created one of a kind masterpieces just for you and your family. Be proud of your body for it is the roadmap of your life. Be proud of how you look, because only you can decide how beautiful you are.
That’s what I was thinking. I think some of the photos didn’t look as good because they went into it feeling insecure and negative (which is completely valid) but it also came across through the pictures.

I think rachel looked beautiful, glowing even, in the interviews more than the pro image but I also notice rachel looked way more confident and happy in the interview clips than the final image. I honestly think it had more to do with the outfit choice rather than the way her body and face looked because she definately still has got it going on.

When Rachel said “I am very aware that my kids are the oldest but I am not the skinniest” and I saw how sad she felt during the shoot, I cried. I have never had a baby, but I have never felt so seen. Rachel, I just want to give you a hug. You are incredible. You are the hype woman for all of the other moms, you are so supportive and kind. You are a freakin cancer survivor! You are a mom to twins! You are crushing it as a producer! You deserve all the good things. It is so sad as woman that we have all been fed this lie that the most important thing about ourselves is our appearance. You are beautiful inside and out. I know it is so so hard to believe and feel, but just try and remind yourself everyday and I will try and do the same. Sending love and good vibes 💕

I didn’t see this until after the cheating scandal. I identify so much. I gained almost 60 lbs and I was also on bedrest postpartum. Also, like Ariel my husband cheated through my pregnancy.
I hope she is getting the support she needs because it’s so unbelievably cruel to carry and birth someone’s child and have them do this. She looked so beautiful ( all of the women) it’s so hard for me to understand how someone can participate in creating life with someone and not see them as a goddess. It is something deeply wrong with men who do this.
If I would find out this I would kill the fetus I'm about to birth. I wouldn't want to carry the child of a cheater especially since I wouldn't treat it right when it becomes a baby. I could never love it.

Switching OB’s for her second pregnancy was probably the best decision she could’ve made. Babies make bodies bigger, it’s completely normal and healthy. I’m grateful to have a supportive OB for my first pregnancy.

@@eloisebaker9544 you wouldn't be able to stunt a baby's growth though. If baby is going to be big they're going to be big, and it's very rare for a woman's body to grow a child that she is unable to birth vaginally (although with tearing)

this photo shoot seems like a nightmare scenario, especially for the women who aren’t as skinny. i think we forget that body positivity can be exhausting, and it’s really hard to put your body out there as something beautiful when you don’t think it is. i’m really proud of everyone who did this and i recognize how hard this shit is

genuinely I have so much respect for them and it‘s actually made me think- maybe I should do that too. Maybe I should hold my own lil photoshoots recreating these magazine covers. Because in their own way they all looked INCREDIBLE and seeing these results is amazing
YES! I’m glad this video exists but the whole idea of “recreating” photos is setting this up for failure. Cuz the women are just going to be comparing their bodies to the original. The only woman who loved it was the one who was recreating a pregnancy shoot :(
Yeah, I really wish the body positivity movement included a little more of a "it's okay to not think you're pretty, you're a lot more than your appearance". As someone who has lived with mental health issues for most of my life, sometimes having people trying to convince me that I'm physically beautiful hurts, because that's not how I feel and that's not what I want to focus on. Whenever I have body image issues I focus on the other qualities I've got bc fuck pretty, I don't need to pressure myself into thinking I'm pretty when I'm so much more than that.
Body positivity to me has been about recognizing my body as the structure that holds my actual being, and as long as it allows me to be me than it's a good body, even if I don't think it's a pretty one.

Celebrities get trained on how to pose, both for photoshoots and red carpets. They also wear HD make up and are photoshopped by multiple artists.
The women in these shoots only got brief tips from an Instagram model. The lighting is not always very good. It's not realistic to compare them because they don't have access to the same quality of training or tech. It's really not good to compare oneself to a celebrity.
Also, Billie did not create 2 beautiful twins! Rachel was on point when she realized that society encourages erasing the evidence of creating a new human rather than celebrating it.

It’s so telling when the women are scared to say that they like their photos. It’s ingrained in us to be afraid of liking ourselves, and are taught as girls that it is wrong.

That last woman who went in the bathing suit - I was so worried for her when she said she broke down and how she was feeling, but as soon as the camera panned as she was posing I became FLUSTERED and said "oh wow" out loud! You can be small and skinny and still be very insecure, like feeling too small in areas, such as boobs or hips. In fact typically it's seen as more attractive to have curves then be flat and/or straight up and down like a rectangle, which also feel less feminine. There's such a specific "sweet spot" for women that most of us aren't blessed enough to fall under. It feels like on either side of the scale there's so so many different ways a body can look but only very few are deemed attractive.

Rachel's reaction to her photo at the end made me cry. As a 21 year old, I still have such an incredibly difficult time looking at photos of myself, despite how young I am. I was really awed by what Rachel said about other's liking the photos but not her, and it just hit me so hard that I couldn't help crying, seeing how someone was able to put into words how I feel. I hope some day I'm able to get over that dread.

I can promise you that you will find a way to either cope or overcome that dread. For me, I learned how to cope. I'm 38yo now and still struggle with Body Dysmorphic Disorder. My whole life I've hated every single picture I've ever seen of myself and I despise mirrors. But being as old as I am now, I can look back at pictures of myself at your age and see them rationally, if that makes sense. It's like at the time, I was so busy picking my flaws apart I wasn't seeing the whole picture. I still hate having my picture taken and it takes me at least 100 selfies to pick 1 I'm generally ok with, but still don't like. But I promise you, there will come a time in your life when you'll be able to look back at your old pictures objectively and see them, and yourself, for what they really were. I know when I'm older I'll look back at pictures of myself at my current age and wish I looked like this. It can be a neverending struggle but I hope this brings you some peace. 💖

I think fatphobia and the intense fear of becoming a fat person should be talked about. Because all these women seem to be afraid of being perceived as fat when being fat isn't ugly or horrific, it's just fat.

All of this and I'd generally like to see more body diversity in videos like this. I feel like the message could be more impactful if there were also fat women expressing love and positive thoughts for their bodies.
Whenever I say I'm fat, people always try to correct me by saying I'm curvy or voluptuous or something else to make it sound better but I always correct them back like "no, I'm fat, and there's nothing wrong with that". Fat is just fat, it's not a value judgment, it's just a fact, just like I'm blonde and average height.

I think Rachel was just done dirty by the thin, flimsy material of the silk bodysuit, Billie definitely had a strong corseting/bra situation that helped shape & lift everything. I think the top they used would be unflattering on most people, I'm about 110 lbs with no curves & it would look like a pink trash bag on me lol. I wish they would've gotten a higher quality top & then maybe she would've been happier with the results :( It honestly really hit home when she said "I can't tell you how many times I've cried over this photo in the last week," I also can't count how many times that's been me

I think so too. Clothes shouldn't wear the person, and I think those clothes didn't "fit" her. We've seen her in many videos and in some she looks drop dead gorgeous. Especially her in green.
I think also the fact that the gloves and skirt were pink and not a skin tone latex played a factor in things, because on billie's photo that color difference really draws attention to the torso and face and breaks up the shape, whereas the all pink makes her one whole pink shape. Something I also noticed with Krisanne in the side by side comparison: she talks about feeling like she just looks straight, but if they'd used a photo of her with her hands on her hips like Kim does, that would create negative space around her body and allow her to maybe look curvier than she does with the photo they chose.
Even done right, not all looks flatter everyone equally, it was just an unfortunate choice, which sucks. Cause she really does look great
