0:51 I have the same one! My grandpa gave it to me when I was younger, unfortunately the hand rails are falling off and the engine doesn’t move despite the motor in relatively working condition
I had the Tyco Turbo train as a kid!. I had the yellow set w/ glow in the dark options. I took mine and converted it ,similar to how YT member Darth Santa Fe did to his. Now it runs great on my layout.
So that 2-6-0 from 11:05 is technically a life like yeah but it’s basically, from what my buddy said, a foreign take on American steam locomotives. I own 3 of these actually lol, one from the ATSF as parts, another one from the ATSF but turned into a tank engine & one from the PRR, got the parts loco just for it, they’re coolio models in my opinion :)
5:51: Technically not true, there actually are a few single-unit electric railcars! And I'm sorry for my Australian talk, I'm Aussie. But it's the South Maitland Railways railcar, a single unit diesel railcar built by Tulloch Limited, known for also making the first all double-deck electric train units in the world, hence why Sydney, 165km below me, has all double-decker trains. But wait! There's also more single-unit diesel railcars. Like the ČD Class 840 and 841, ČSD Class M 152.0, and more! 10:42 I have this engine its a not good loco, it looks German and its chunky out of scale, gears crack, not quartered correctly wheels, it was made by playart for a while
Oooh, regarding the double deck railcar. The Germans actually have one... and they built 6 of them back in the 90s. Weird little thing :D en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DB_Class_670
The Tyco Turbo Train was basically one of those slot car sets that goes up the wall and has a loop de loop and ramp.
I need to do something like this soon, I have no shortage of weird models to talk about
The turbo train might need older steel track.

The Tyco Turbo Trains are meant for straight steel tracks

13:26 I have that exact same model and it also has a split gear.

Thanks for all the extra info on this thing! Dang, I thought mine having cracked gears was just an isolated incident.
Nope its like 90s bachmann with the life like tea kettle, its drive gear often cracks or breaks, and makes a click sound like older bachmanns

i thought the weird german 2-6-0 was a playart H-601
@@williamtheNWRS3class I guess it technically is because somebody told me in another comment that this is the same tooling
The first one looks like it was wired to run DC in an AA or ABBA setup. I have same issue with some antique trains i picked up.
