Our goldi girl just waltzed in like she owned the place. After 5min of looking around she laid down in our living room with a "yeah, that'll do" expression on her face. A bonus tip: Don't have people over the first few days. When we got our puppy everyone was excited to meet her (she's was and still is adorable after all), but we kept social interaction to a minimum so that she could get to know us at her own pace and not be overwhelmed with too many new people.
Taking out pet insurance on the day you get your golden puppy is a really great idea. This will avoid being denied coverage later on due to pre-existing conditions.
What if you have a pool in the back yard , and front yard is close to road ? I am getting my G R in week , i am scared that he is gonna drown or be hit by car if goes alone
I never penned or crated any of my Golden Retrievers. Take responsibility and hang out with them. My buddies always had their two legged owners around to guide them.
"Maybe try out a game of fetch OR TUG OF WAR" What moron plays tug of war with a puppy? That can seriously damage the teeth for life. You do NOT play tug of war with a puppy until the boney harden and the teeth are firmly set in the bone, which is at about 6 months. - EARLIEST!!! How can You have a channel to help understand dogs and not know this?
@@scruffyliltwink That was NOT the age of the puppy in the video. - AND this was about DAY ONE with your puppy. Until the second teeth are hardened in tug of war is very bad for the teeth of the pup.

I think it was meant for older puppies at 9 months to 1 year.
You don’t have to actually tug on them genius they’re a child you trick them into thinking they’re doing more than they are
