Yeah, sorry about that. That said, the creak can only occur if Jimmy has left the room, which doesn't happen in this video anyway. I don't think the bathroom has any sounds 🤔.

A suggestion for the future, don't have the background music set so high that people can't here the game at all.

I remember I tried this, went in the closet too early, went outside the room thinking jimmy was hiding, locked the door, waited, camera automatically turned, first time I got jumpscared

This is the only way I've found to dodge Jimmy during the ending. Call him to the room, lock him in, then run like hell to the next one I need to visit.
Absolutely! I spent around 4 hours trying to avoid locking him in rooms, but I'd always get bonked when saving the last person or escaping. There's something about that last person that makes Jimmy turn into a speed demon.. it was like he was everywhere at once haha.
Markiplier finished it in the last video pretty easily xD
@@tb124.gaming Yeah, I saw that. XD Was expecting him to get hit at least once. All the girls got away safely as well. I'm surprised that happened, considering he was playing close to jimmy for much of the chase.

No offense, but I think this video would be better without the music; it covers up the audio cues in the game that I'm trying to listen for. But thanks for spelling out this strategy anyway.
I put in the music mostly to cover up the sounds of the stream and me saying random stuff. I tried to still keep the relevant audio cues, but yeah I can see how it could be distracting. Thanks for the feedback 👍

But Jimmy won't stay locked up in there forever, will he? Surely he will just pick the lock to get out again.
I think he manages to get out after about 15 - 30 seconds, but I haven't timed it. Not gonna lie, I would sprint off as soon as he was locked up as it was always super tense haha!
With that said, that short amount of time makes a world of difference on level 3, where his patrol route is so small.
I did it and worked! I locked him in twice in a row with two different keys. Hilarious!

I like this game's unique gameplay of those old prerendered games but with actual 3d graphics. it definitely uses it to its advantage to build tension
THe gameplay style really reminds me of those old Nancy Drew games from the 90's and 00's. Loved those games!
I've never actually heard of this game until now! I'm genuinely surprised that they made a game out of live action footage, I didn't even know that was possible! I'll definitely need to look more into it.
It's a heap of fun, and the FMV makes it weirdly creepy/intense. Definitely recommend it if you love horror games!

I never used this method, but when I found out that Jimmy can hide in the bathroom, I just left the room and headed towards the elevator into a different floor and bring him there.
So, I assume this temporarily locks him in the room, because if he stayed there forever, it'd bee too easy
Yeah, he's only locked up for a short time, but it's long enough to get some distance and reach the elevator, or another safe spot.

I've been looking for a video of looking through the key hole of Jimmy struggling to get out when you deadlock it. The developers have gone through lots of details to making this game, so I was just curious to see how it would look.

Oh dude it’s giving me anxiety just thinking about it. Do you play all by yourself? I couldn’t. I’d need my sisters or my friends in the room with me. Horror movies are no problem. Horror games puts me in the drivers seat. No thanks.

Telling if he's in the bathroom or outside is really hard ☹️. In the video in the pinned comment I tried to isolate the sound of the creak, but it's very quiet. Also someone has mentioned that the menu eventually changes from red to yellow if Jimmy leaves... Though I haven't noticed it changing while waiting inside the room 🤔. Jimmy's mystery continues!

Seeing his face flash past when he hides on the corners of corridors might be the most nervous I've felt in a horror game in a long long time.
When you say "you'll have to hear (this) to do this" or "after doing this you will hear (this)" please turn the volume of the lofi background music to low, or just make it fade away, so we can hear what happened or what's the next step.

When you hear 👂🏾 Jimmy growl or roar, then you know that he’s locked 🔒 in the room. You still have to hurry up and get to your destination or Jimmy’s bat will definitely connect with your head 🧠
About how long does keeping him locked in the room last? He gets out at some point right?
To be honest I've never stuck around long enough to check, but I imagine maybe 15 - 30 seconds as he would just be unlocking it with the keys he used to enter the room with. But yeah, he definitely gets out again.

Quick question I was curious about, how long does it take for Jimmy to escape a room once locked in? Are there event triggers that automatically release him?
Yo, I did a timer at the end of the improved video guide in the pinned comment and seems like it took him 38secs for him to get out. I think in order for him to get out the audio of him opening the door must finish playing and the player must not be looking at the door. Check out the video if you wanna see it in action.

What happens if you stay in the middle of the room after you've heard him open the door?
Good question! I actually am not sure. I have seen him open the door and bonk while standing next to the door, but never from one step towards the cupboard (and facing the door). I think he would run in and hit you 🤔.

The developer has stressed that Jimmy does *not* have Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), formerly called Multiple Personality Disorder. The note about Jimmy and DID can be read on the game's main menu.

My stream chat suggested I give it a go while we were struggling with Jimmy and his quick patrols on the 3rd floor. We messed around with a few different ways of doing it, but found that using the hallway lure + delayed cupboard lead to the highest likelihood of locking Jimmy in the room, and the quickest.
There were some tense moments and we definitely got bonked a bunch haha.

He gets locked in the room for a short while, but he manages to unlock the deadbolt from the inside and returns to the corridor to hand out bonks.

BTW, does this work for the whole game which means that he wont come for you anymore?
As long as you have the key for the room you can lock him in. However he does get out after a short amount of time... But it does give you a heap of time to make a safe escape to the elevator!

He does eventually get out. It takes him about 15-30 seconds I believe. Plenty of time to run to the elevator or jump into another room that you have a key for 😎
