    Use a silicone sealant around your inserts so the new hole doesn't start rusting your panels. Ask me how I know this. They will start to rott.

    Hey man thanks for the video. Did you do anything to prevent rust on the bare metal from cutting and drilling?

    • @Riskspeed
      @Riskspeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think its necessary as the rivnut covers up the exposed drilled part of the fender. However I think you could just spray paint it to be safe.

    I plan on using rivnuts but I've really been searching for a low profile option for bolt/washer. Debating no washer at all. I'm not a fan of visible bolt on, just don't have much of a choice, can't think of another way. I could use the tiny screws that some overfenders come with but idk if that's enough. But those NRG washers are too big for me. Ever see any type of lower profile option for these?

    • @Riskspeed
      @Riskspeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn’t find out till after I did this- but there is a smaller version rivnut that NRG offers. It’s still visible but not as big as these.
      If you want it to be less visible you may have to stick with traditional pop rivets, or mold it into the body to be completely invisible.

      Just use some filler and smooth them into the bodywork if you wanna hide them
