Great video. I would like to see you do one on installing the rails. The holes do not match up with 16" center studs and I have had a heck of a time with that.
+Karen May Hello Karen May. Lining up the holes with solid backing can be a challenge. As soon as I have the opportunity, then I will add a video on the rail installation. There's usually a stud nearby the hole in the rail. In most cases I can get away with screwing a 2-1/2" wood screw, at an angle. But, if things don't line up at all, then I use the 'toggle-bolts'. Typically I use 3" bolts, rated at 50LBS/EA, and install them at approx. 10-12 inches on center.
Great video-thanks for posting. With standard 8' ceilings and 40" cabinets *with top mounted puck lights* at what height do you hang the rail for uppers? (distance from either top of rail to ceiling or bottom of rail to floor). Any pointers would be helpful- TIA!
Hi Chantalle, the top of the rail is hung at 94-1/4" from the floor. The height is dictated by the height of the tall pantry cabinets. Without any pantry cabinets in your kitchen, the height of the uppers are more flexible.
Thanks for the helpful video. I've noticed that my cam screws are not tight when the arrow faces away from the cabinet. In the video you mention the arrow should be pointed away and then right before you nail the back I see you tighten them again, with a twist of your screwdriver. For me, in order to get a nice snug fit the arrows have to actually be facing inward. Should I commence and continue to nail the back or is this a big deal?
I am trying to install the cover panels and they measure 15 x 42 1/2 but the cabinet is only 40 inches. is this supposed to be cut down to 40 inches or left at 42.5"?

Quick tip. Watch instructional videos at 1.5x speed. Click on the settings - gear icon(bottom right of video box) and change the speed setting.

Figured it out. The arrow outside is just so it locks in, then you tighten it. Thanks again for the video.

the video is about "assembly" of the frame.... not hanging.
