Nice job. Grab some rolls of Velcro from spotlight to replace all the cable ties used to attach item to the moly frames, better for ease of getting things off and better for the environment in throwing away plastic cable ties 👌
Cheers. They're just temporary while we work everything out.
Top job, well thought out & researched.
Cheers!
Looks magic guys! So much more satisfying building it yourself. Well done!
Thanks so much!
So well planned and thought out, not to mention the actual fit out. Simon, you are clever!
Cheers, Pete!
How cool. You even lined up the tangs on the cable ties. Great job 👏
Thank you! 😊
Great video. Wasn’t keen on the 76 when you got it but I have to say it is looking bloody awesome. Well done 👍
Love it! Cheers.
Mate your idea's are come to fruition. Looking cool. Good to see your thinking outside the box, and I agree black bolts to replace the chrome will look amazing. Loving your enthusiasm. Cheers
Cheers, Glenn. Glad to hear it!
Hi Simon & Liz,
I’ve loved watching this build come together and I reckon it’s the best I’ve seen.
I particularly love all the attention to detail… I’m with you on that and many people don’t understand it.
Well done…
Awesome, thank you!
Personally not a fan of Molle but now having watched this video I may need to update my thoughts, excellent end result in my opinion and should work very well for you & your family
Thanks mate. It's turning out to be really handy and giving us the flexible storage we were looking for.
Lots of magic, magic, magic - well done
Thanks so much!
So satisfying when you build your own,,,,nice
Absolutely!
Top job practical and looks good 😊
Looks awesome. Well done. Very functional.
Thank you very much!
Well thought out and looks great.

Thanks Dave. It was a few beers worth 😆
That’s looks so nice, I can’t wait to see the end results. Thank you for sharing 👍🏼
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks awesome mate, you’ve done an amazing job. Always great watching someone with a great sense and someone knows what they are doing. Unlike some of these other people on TH-cam that have no idea what they are doing. Cheers mate
Thanks a ton! Appreciate that.
Looks good, really like diy jobs, well done 👍

Brilliant fitout mate, you articulated the finer details very well which will make my fitout much more informed now, so thankyou.
Great to hear! Happy to help.
The drawers look so good with the black being accented by the light ply edge, definitely gives me ideas that I didn't even know were an option lol
Awesome, thanks mate!
Looks great….
Well done
Cheers!
Fkn awesome job mate. Epic results after so much effort and patience ❤
Cheers, mate. Appreciate it
Really like your set up looks really good and functional.
Cheers! 🙌
Brilliant setup and job! I can't wait to see where you guys take it!

You could always use a little blue tooth speaker for the kids to remove the noise from the ipad
Yeah, great idea!
Great fit out I’m sure it will serve you all well enjoy WA look forward to following your adventures
Thanks 👍
Looks brilliant - love all the molle paneling to hang stuff off - might pinch that idea 👍
Go for it!
Good job mate.👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video well done awesome without happy days.
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks great Simon, unique which is what you were chasing. Well done 👍
Yep, that's the one! Thanks.
Love your 76 fit out guys and it's given me some excellent ideas for ours as well! The molly back window hangers are especially cool! I really like the drawer system too good job! Thx heaps for showing all of us followers the detail that you took as it's so important to design things for your specific needs eh! Cheers phil
Thanks Phil, and you're welcome!

wow very interesting content friend
Thank you so much 🙂
you're welcome@@TheLifestylePioneers
Internal fit out is looking fantastic, will be pinching a few ideas for our next build for sure. Also agree with you about the gull wings on the back. They look better than other brand on the market and flow really well with the 76bbody lines. Nice work.
Cheers, guys! We're stoked with it
Great fit out. Looking better every day. I was never really a 76 enthusiast as they are such basic looking vehicles but you've certainly changed my opinion
Right on!
Hey guys love the rear fit out it’s exactly what I would do just a wee tip I’ve seen you used a few cable ties for hanging stuff of the Molly in the past I’ve used Velcro straps they work great and are reusable and multi functional if you are changing the size of the items hanging on the moly
Hopefully we bump into you in wa we are in Albany
Thanks mate! We're on the hunt for different mounting options, thanks for the tip. The cable ties are temporary
Awesome fittout thanks for sharing, very nice rig I bet there's alot of jealous cruiser owners out there 😂
Thanks, Jason. I hope so 😉👌
Nice job, maybe a thin rubber mat on top of the draws to stop things sliding around. Should help make it a bit quieter
Cheers. Not a bad idea 👍
Simon I’ve just fitted up powder coated alloy panels from Senenty6 to replace both the back door card and also the inner cards along each side. I think it’s what you might be looking for, check them out 😉
Using up that roof cavity is a great thing- we have the Fourby fit outs touring set up in the back and the jacket rack I love very much, as well as the gull wings
Funnily enough, that's exactly what I ordered. They showed up the other day and I got them fitted. Thanks!
Looks great Simeon , Just wondering how the back window clips will last ,
They're pretty solid. I might put some locktite or spring washers on the bolts, but that's all it needs, I reckon 👌
Coming together really well. Great work. Just wondering whether that battery has enough ventilation tucked away like that. Love that molle equipment and those gullwings are awesome. Top job on the draws also.
Gooooo the 76
Thanks so much. The battery had a fiar bit of space around it and can vent throught the cut-out for the fridge compressor
Great vid mate the ply is that a Bunnings product
Thanks mate. We had to get the ply out of Melbourne. It was a little tricky to track down.
Regarding the placement of the kids’ tablet for watching movies from the back. Having it that close to your heads could well become a problem for the adults in front of you but if you purchased a small Bluetooth speaker that could possibly be mounted over the boys’ heads or even just put it on the seat between them you might have a better outcome.
That's a really good idea, thanks!
Looks great mate.. are you going to install a air compressor in the dead space
Yeah, that's the plan. Haven't quite decided where just yet
Yup - grey vinyl gotta go. Black is awesome.
For sure!
👍
Great video guys. Did you anchor the drawer system to the floor? If so what system did you use? I'd be interested in a system that is easily removeable.
Thanks mate. We were able to pick up the factory tie downs which bold through the floor via captive nuts 👌
Great video and great set up! You should be proud! Question: it looks like you have mounted the axe using cable ties… is it you final solution (ie replace the tie every time you are using the axe) or do you have a long term solution ?
Thanks! The axe and a few other things are just temporarily mounted for now while we work out how we want everything. The axe head cover could stay with a zip tie and then something else for the handle 👍
Your video gave me some food for thoughts… I like the shelves, but without carpet, how are you going to handle the rattling? Another point, (one of the improvement I am currently making to my set up) is the air flow around the fridge compressor. We have recently been in NT and at 35+ dgr, the fridges in the car severely struggled…. I am going to add a fan to force some air flow around the fridge and see how I go…
Looks amazing Simon, great design and very professionally built. Just a question, do you need or have to think about any cooling around the fridge and the battery behind the fridge? The kids will love the iPad mount, they’ll need some Bluetooth headsets now. Great all round fit out, you’re very skilled. Have a good week and safe travels to WA. Cheers from NZ
Thanks, Mark. It has a fair bit of air and ventilation but we'll see how it goes.
Hope it all works out good, it’s just with all the talk about batteries (lithium) batteries overheating I wondered how you ensured enough airflow. Anyway I’m sure you’ll let us know how it goes. Hope your trip and truck is performing well and you are all enjoying it. Safe travels. Cheers Mark
Hey guys, great video! What thickness is that hexiply and what size screws did you use please? Cheers, Wazza
Thanks Wazza. We used 12mm ply to keep the weight down, but that does make fixing more tricky. We just used 20mm chipboard screws, make sure you pre-drill though.
Thanks, doing mine shortly👍
Measurements for the rear box & draw fridge details please.
Best to get the fridge dimensions online. The box is 350mm high and 1020 wide. The base board rests against the rear seat mounts, I'll have to get a measurement for you.
Blackout the draw handles.
On the fridge? That would be cool. Not sure how though.
Hi mate,
How did you mount the draws to the car?
I was able to pick up the factory tie down points and bolt through them.
How did u fix the fridge into the drawer carcass?
I made up some angle brackets that fix into the existing threaded inserts in the fridge casing and then bolts to the floor of the drawer system.
10:06 whats that thingy infront/beside the rear view mirror?
That's for the autonomous emergency braking.
Looks great. How did the ply work out weightwise? I like that youve kept the versatility. That was the essential plan for me with my wagon, I needed it to be able to go back to being the Nanna taxi and Uhaul at short notice lol 🤣 I will watch with envy as you head west... still yet to get there...a work in progress. cheers Cheryl 🙂
I love it 😆 Not 100% sure weight wise but around 30-40kgs for the ply.
You wood get more in duellcab and alot cheaper
We don't need to carry more and they work out a lot more expensive.
great vid... Its only $$
And lots of time!
once you go black you will never go back.....So will her name be Molle :)
😆 Love it 👌
pay 80k spend anothjer 80k and its still worth 40k
I'm pretty sure that's not how it works 😆
