I just bought myself a brand new ford escape 2024 and took it through a car wash here in ohio, and got a nice scratch on the hood of my vehicle! I was so angry lol! Went to dealership and got some touch up paint! Also called the car wash! Lesson learned! Go brushless lol 😊
No new modern car wash is going to actually scratch your car. Swirls would not be considered a scratch, as you can buff a swirl out. A scratch literally cuts through your paint. If you went through a car wash and it legit scratched your car, then you're going to some pretty sketchy old car wash lol.
Car washes don't clean good in my opinion, especially the rear on a truck or minivan. Ima diy guy on cleaning my car. There has to be residual dirt left on the components cleaning your vehicle, over time the damage will accumulate.
It depends on the wash. The new one I take my wife's car to, it cleans really really well. Never had an issues with the car still being dirty. The rims tho, it does a terrible job at cleaning the rims. I hand wash my car, but my wife doesn't care about microswirls on her car so I said, why bother wasting my time hand washing it lol
