A lot of great tips, I’m riding a specialized 2015 diverge.(aluminum material frame )since it was new, it’s always had the tendency to give me feedback of flex through the rear portion of the bike while riding. Should I be concerned and how long should I expect this frame to last?.. I recently converted this to a mid drive E-bike and now I really feel that flex and I’m concerned that it’s gonna snap in half or is it just flex? Thank you for your time, sir.
@SupercrossBMX I like the bmx track at Desoto better because it's more fun for me. I'm a 45 year old intermediate who just got back on the bike 2 months ago. After a 15 year hiatus from even owning a bike. Watching dudes like kj and Barry got me motivated. Rockstar the bike park is Awesome but the bmx track there is big. It's so big it's not necessarily fun for someone of my age and skill set. That could change as I progress. I just raced my 1st 2 races. I didn't make the main at gold cup Saturday. But I made the main and got 5th at Sundays state race. And I can pump to the top of the coping in the big bowl at Rockstar. A month ago I couldn't stand up in the Gate. So maybe I'll like the Rockstar track better in a few months
Did you know , that Vegemite’s main ingredient is Yeast , and they get it from what’s left in the Beer vats after it’s brewed and emptied out , so your basically getting beer in your Vegemite lol 😅😅
So why don't you make handlebars out of aluminum? I'm not talking about tiny handlebars with no cross bar and a rider weight limit either. I want some 28" wide, 8" rise, ~0.1" wall, heat-treated 7005 aluminum handlebars with a 7/8" diameter cross bar. They would weigh about 1 lb 2 oz, assuming about 48" of tube, which is around a half a pound lighter than the lightest chromoly handlebars of that size.
Local is an hour and a half away. It's kind of why I fell out of racing 35 years ago. ORL BMX. I have a teleportation device now so I can be there instantly. 😁Still sketchy on aluminum and you guys dont have much in a pro XL. Want to buy something for my 200 pound body. Hint hint!!
Sorry your Local is so far away... but I bet it's fun when you make the drive.... And Aluminum, don't be sketchy on it. It is GREAT, but I get what you are hinting at... as they say, the old timers love that saying of Steel is Real.... But at 200lb, you are a lightweight for modern aluminum....
@@dboon6792 Im riding an 87 Boss pro, Need a new bike. Vintage is sketch after not serioisly riding for over 30 years. DX pedal failure and found some HT platforms by the skin of my teeth. Cant find anything. Want to race again but I cant get a bike built. Thats all....lol

I was wondering, why not use 7068, 7075 or 2024 for frames?
Frames need to typically be a weldable alloy, and 7075 isn’t a conventionally weldable aluminum,
I’m right in between rockstar and desoto
Cool! Which one is your favorite?

Thanks but I dont care about the fact that aluminum is cheaper and recyclable. I still prefer chromoly steel for its strength and ride quality.
My new bike is chromoly. Won't ride anything else.
Stout is on the way haha
Thank you Lar!!
I am going to ride @Capital City BMX
Awesome! There's one for Capital City BMX!

RIP my eardrums from that intro.
if you use your bike everyday for mass miles an aluminum bike can last 5-10 years of abuse. aluminum frames you don't even see the welds anymore.
