Tornado only exist in SD G gen games. It's somewhat mass produced and quite weak but it can be evolved into phoenix gundam later on. So it's nice they give this guy a kit, especially in it's SDCS since it is the familiar form for this guy.

i wish wed get more SD designs adapted into proper high grade forms. the tornado gundam definitely deserves to be turned into a "real" mobile suit

I straight away bought this guy when he showed up in my store because I like the Tornado so much not to mention that I was so happy when the SDCS came back with this kit to be specific.
Heck, I was even more excited for this than MG Zeta Gundam Ver Ka, no intended diss to that kit though.

If there was an HG of this design, I'd be interested. Just not a huge SD gundam fan, but this is one of the better-looking ones I've seen for sure.

it is the exact same design. Phoenix Gundam and its associated G Gen original suits have a background similar to suits from Turn A, in that many of them are found rather than newly built, and it's impossible to figure out where exactly they came from. Tornado Gundams in particular were found in an abandoned factory and put into action as they were in good condition. It's a mystery when they were built and by whom. Although the rifle could indicate it's a late UC 0080s Federation machine, the design doesn't really match their style so it could have been inspired by them instead, with the rifle being a direct replica of the one used by Gundam Mk-II.
