Getting enough spawn points to bring in a nuclear aircraft is one of the most difficult achievements in War Thunder. Many of you voted to see if I could do so while using low tier tanks. I decided to use the trusty and rare M8A1 light tank.

He should do it with armoured target belts on the nuke

The Cupola shot for a sherman 75mm cannon is far more reliable on cupolas than trying to go for that turret ring. Mostly cause Volumetric and if the person decides to do any movement.
Brother, I've played the 75 jumbo extensively. The turret ring is just as inconsistent if not moreso.

I would've said it's a skill issue, but i played the jumbo now and i can confirm, that the turret ring is wonky af. So i guess i was wrong
Of course you pulled it off with the m8a1, it was either that or the chaffee for my guesses
Chaffee should've been easily IMO. Harder to strafe out, more crew, and has the short stabilizer. Maybe better mobility too?

@TheEpicNoob Even if the power to weight ratio is better, the gearing matters more to me. I'd prefer something that's snappy and quick, but doesn't have to have a high top speed. Chaffee has always felt quick to me

Since Gaijin added the VK 30.02 (M) several updates ago, I'd love for them to add the VK 30.02 (D). This vehicle being the entry made by Daimler-Benz into the design contest for what would become the Panther.
I mean, that is something I'd absolutely want to see. But Gaijin will just have it be an overpriced premium.

As "M8A1 on 5.0-7.3" enjoyer, i can proof that it is really funny to play it like that. Honestly it feels easier to play on higher BR than on it's own. My personal best is 8 kills in 7.3 game, i literally got 8 kills in M8A1, but only 2 assists in M47 and T32, even though i got downtired into 6.3-7.3 game. And average if I don't meet IS-2 5m away with nowhere to hide is 5-7 kills.

Thing I’ve noticed about scouting, you can get a dubbel assist when you scout someone AND damaged them. If a teammate kills said scouted and harmed vechile you get 2 assists and it does work with the plane cheapering
God mode only nuke now. The only challenge left.

Easier for Spookston to get a nuke than it is for me to get a game without spawn camping and CAS spam. Lucky if I get 1 game before the BS and grubby players make me alt f4

It’s easy to get nukes with the M8A1. It has a permanent slot in all my lineups regardless of BRs for a reason and is my most played. I have 3k battles with it and less the 100 battles were at it’s BR range because its just too dirty at 2.7. It’s such a good tank and my favorite one.

I remember in 1 game where I was in a Sherman 105 and t-50 destroyed my barrel so I track him near the water just push him in it and it apparently counts as a kill

Remember Spookston, at least War Thunder has Kill Assists, in Wargaming titles, you get kills stolen then get told "kill stealing does not exist" by the playerbase. War Thunder superior.
i mean technically wot has assist damage, but you only get it from immobilising or scouting an enemy
Tanks quite literally have visible health bars in world of tanks and one if the Helpful HintsTM on the loading screen is "Tanks with low health can still deal full damage. Kill them first."
@@Nick-bb4nk Right, but isn't that also true for Warthunder? Even a severely wounded tank with an operational cannon and breech can kill a fully operational tank given the chance.
The the m8hmc of both variants are one of those vehicles that is fun and pretty good in every game they are in

As a german main, whenever i play 6.0, or 7.0 sometimes my brain just turns off, perhaps it is because Spookston is playing, which turn me stupid, making near impossible to kill things with my tiger 1E, and somehow getting a richochet 50% of the time.
This is why I like Spookston because he makes his content funny and something his fans can decide on

I'm convinced that TH-camrs and the like get special treatment from the matchmaking gods.
the m8a1 is basically a US SDKFZ puma with a .50 cal. some might argue scarier than a puma.
This is the classic spookston content I live for! Also, you should consider taking out the Crusader AA Mk1! It's a blast in low tier :) (attempt 147)
You should play the Sav M/43 (1944). It is a very good tank destroyer, with good APHE and armor that lots of things at its BR cant pen. Additionally, since it is 1.7, there are a decent few new players who will have no idea what struck them.
Y'know what tank gets nukes? The AS-42/47 with it's ammo.
You made it look like a totally viable strategy. The M8A1 is getting moved up to 8.0, it's clearly way too broken as such low tier as 7.0.
Mr spookston i'd love to see you play the chinese squadron tank (object 122MT "MC") which has a 120mm with ATGM's at 8.7.

I really only use scouting for extra points and I use it to grind tanks/vehicles that are rough grinds.
Once had a nuke and clicked return to hangar instead of leave the vehicle cause I was so pumped
I've only taken it up to 5.0 and did quite well. I just kept telling myself it's the same gun as the jumbo you'll be alright

Good frontal armor, pretty good gun, fast... basically a Panther with a Russian 85mm & a reverse gear that works.

Aiming between the turret or the hatch thing is apparently an easy way to get a kill. Between the turret I can understand, but I suppose the hatch requires some knowhow. I suppose it could be as simple as weak armor

hey spook, i think the fiat 6614 is absolutely for you. it’s fast, pretty good guns, and hard to hit.
I just started playing WT due to watching Spookston. Im getting some kills and caps. Steep learning curve, tho
Since that challenge was easy, you should play a vehicle with an entrenching tool and every time you want to fire, you have to dig a trench that covers your hull
I'm really curious what would happen if we put Spookston in M2A2. That twin turret thing armed only with one .50 cal and two .30 cal machine guns

i got my first ever nuke with the t1e1 on wednesday, with one cap, 8 kills, and 3 assists. It was a good run.
Did something similar and was using my AML 90 at top tier ground and was 100 off a nuke. I ran out of ammo and tried spotting a WMA to get an assist for the remaining amount (my teamates were waiting for me to spot to kill them as they wanted it to happen lmao) but ofc even though I'm 100 meters away looking right at it it fails, I didn't know they removed gaining mission score from dying so I ended up not getting it :)
