Very debatable. I don't think its the worst thing you can do though. There are definitely worse choices out there. I usually recommend researching the playstyle of a premium vehicle before purchasing and definitely playtesting it beforehand. Also, it depends on what you're trying to do because I learned how to play top tier jets by getting a premium high tier jet so that I would have more experience when I get more planes in that tier and not get as discouraged. So, it kinda just depends on what you want to do.

As far as my favorite plane to fly, I put in a lot of hours in my Sea Vixen F.A.W. Mk. 2. It was my first premium jet, I got a long time ago, but it's still one of my favorites to fly.
