Yeah I highly doubt these guys were just minding their own business, and got shot for no reason.
It's all still under investigation and most information regarding the motives of the aledged gunman Jason Eaton are stilled sealed in the hands of the Justice Dept or the FBI. So yes, absolutely even the victims are only going on emotion when concluding that they were targeted as a hate crime.
The media is trying it's best to get us to feel bad for Palestinians.

Interview the Jewish student that were held hostage in a university library. The double standard is unreal.
Well perhaps its because these men were shot in a clear incident of a hate crime and those Jewish students felt "unsafe" and no one actually ya know shot them. Also if the incident was Cooper Union you speak of the NYPD itself sated no one was barricaded. There was no hostage situation. Also you may want to point out that apparently its wasn't just students of Jewish decent in the library. But again no one was in danger.

The best way to stay out of trouble is to try to assimilate into American culture, not come over here and try to bring your culture with you. At this time of high tension, it was probably not a good idea for them to go walking around in their Muslim head scarves in a show of solidarity to Palestine right now. I don't condone anyone shooting them but it almost sounds like they were looking for trouble. If that sounds harsh, then tell me if I, as a woman, could travel to Palestine and walk around in shorts and a tank top without getting into trouble over it.

Actually, when I got my US citizenship the judge doing the ceremony said that America is not asking us to change, that we came from so many different cultures and parts pf the world, that if we can bring out the best in us, of what our own cultures thought us that’s how we become American.

My question would be, if they're so loyal to their former country, then why are they here in the first place? The piece is entitled "Palestinian American students..." but the fellow begins by saying "as Palestinians". There you have it, the difference between being an American and being a hyphenated not quite American. Theodore Roosevelt predicted this problem and he hit it on the nose. Hyphenated people can and do often try to make the issues in the old country the issues for America. My grandfather who immigrated never called himself anything but an American. His children were raised to be Americans. The same is true for my wife's family, once here they dropped the politics of the old countries, they did not demand to have America accept the mores and customs of the old countries. They did not forget the old ways, but they kept them for church and social gatherings.
The did not march for politcal causes in the old countries, nor did they sport the distinctive scarves of a political movement in Palestine.
If they were shot at because of their garb, well that is a crime and hopefully it will be punished, if that is what happened.
So how about Jewish-Americans then? They are big on emphasizing their ethnicity.

America is a settler colonial project as well. Time is a funny thing though, as it passes, the collective consciousness of the international community heightens...when Israel was created, it was long past the age of imperialism. So what was acceptable when the US was created was no longer acceptable when Israel was created. Again, the fact that it was created is troubling in and of itself. People were living on that land before European Jews occupied it.
Native Americans in the US are entitled to reparations, land back negotiations, and pretty much anything they want. Their entire civilizations were destroyed by European imperialistic greed and brutality. We should learn from the wrongs committed, not strive to repeat them as your comment alludes to desiring.

The two young boys are entering and living in a country, regardless of its history. I wouldn't blame random Israeli citizens to a personal level, to think they should deserve any sort of punishment, but rather their government held accountable and to be made to speak the truth. No random civilian of any side deserves to be shot or harmed as individual citizens cannot be held accountable on a macroscopic scale like that.

Second of all as a muslim myself we do infact share alot of the same stories and ideals of Jesus pbuh and he should be something we come together on not separate at. In Islam and the quran he is christ, the word of God, of miraculous birth, healed the leper, raised the dead and will return to establish his kingdom.
