I really enjoyed the Vanguard series. I was an avid Trek reader for most of the 90s up until about 2002 and then I got waylaid to other stuff for a few years and it was this series starting in 2005 that got me back into Trek books so maybe that's a big part of it. I think some of the later series are much better in terms of scope but what I liked about this was the idea of a DS9 type series but at the time of TOS. Also this was when I was watching the then new series of BSG and I think that had an impact on it too, I think I visualised it in that style more than the style of Enterprise etc. The seekers series was a good off shoot too

I really like the Vanguard series.
Thanks for reviewing this series a few books in. I had never heard of it, and I'm a fan of TOS.
I like the vanguard books
Can you do a list of Trek books that would make good movies?
Great video idea. I’ll start working on that list.
Have you read Star Trek TNG the devils heart? Its really good.
I have not. I’ll have to look into it.
@@jonathankoan hope you'll like it too. It's on amazon.
