Hey man, just wanted to say I love the videos and your content is amazing. Not too many support main creators out there and definitely not many that are as educational as you. Thank you for the videos man we appreciate it!
Hi Joeyyyy!! Thanks so much for doing these! I've spent the last couple of days learning Rell and can say she definetly matches what I've been looking for a support mechanically-wise. In a previous vid I heard you used to be comfortable blind-picking her but I gotta ask: do you still think she's a good Solo Q pick to climb or works as a Engage/Mage counter only? Greetings from South America. 👋
I still personally really enjoy her as a champ to climb, but it depends on your elo and how effective you can be playing a melee support. After she got buffed last patch I see her again as a blindable champ and am pretty happy in every matchup support vs support. Theres certain timers were ADC pairings dont feel great because we lack kill pressure in lane vs opponent and thats been the most annoying..... but thats mostly out of my control anyway
out of curiosity, why do you hexgate out of the fountain? also this video is really helping me to find more places to engage. just started playing rell this patch and actually grinding ranked in december. only at silver 1 but im optimistic next season i can hit gold or plat. do you do coaching at all?
In the Sorcery runes, he uses Nimbus clock, which grants increase movement speed for 2s when using summoner spells. It's just to run to places faster after basing.
Hex gate is usually faster to one side out of base, if you mean hexflash its because you can use it while u heal to save slightly more time, its very min/maxy. I'm planning to start looking into doing more individual coaching but make sure you join the discord for more updates! and 100% with time and dediciation you can hit gold
Hey, first of all love the content. Your educational support videos are the best. Don't know whether it is too late to get a response but I always wondered, what your decision making behind an engage is. So when exactly do you decide do go in and for what reasons?
Not to late at all, I try to reply to all the comments on my videos I can. Usually a couple of things that make a great engage and its a lot of stuff that you need to think about before hand. Summoner spells, can my carries hit, does my team have real followup ( ults spells), is the position good. Usually in soloq you just need probably 3 out of those 4 but its all stuff you shoulda kinda think about
yo joeyy youve helped me a lot with my own support gameplay love ya vids. was wondering if you ever could do a zilean game, i feel like he's one of the most underrated supports and the only reason nobody bans him is because he's picked so rarely. point and click 99% slow, stun in kit, revive ult with relatively low cooldown later in the game, speed up as well. i rarely see people talk about him
Joey, thanks for the vid. I go back and forth between Leo and Rell as I feel like it. Are there better matchups for on or the other? Also when do you choose the engage w/ Q vs W? Thanks!
Leona is prob in general more blindable, since your harder matchups feel a lot more winnable... I still like rell more for the big AOES and since the most recent buff she plays really great. W into q is something thats more deperate for gurnatee'd plays... W is if theyre jsut in range.... q flash w is to catch people off guard.... flash w r is for aoe clumps 5v5
rather than specific matchups, i wonder if you couldn't tell us which adcs are strong at which points? i tend to play kinda aggro, but then that works better with some adcs rather than others lol. so, i get punished when i'm not sure who is stronger early, midgame, etc. especially in lower elos, i can't tell if i lose lane bc i'm fully potato or if it's bc my adc isn't playing with me bc they actually can't yet
A bit hard to really put into text since theres so many nuances to strength and matchups in bot lane, some champs are strong but only strong at all in, some are strong but only strong poking and playing more controlled. Its something that you'll have to get a feel for as you play more games.... Generally strong champs are like Jhin, ashe, varus, draven, Corki, kalista ... Champs like ezreal and caitlyn are strong but they dont want to just straight up all in they want to use their poke/range advantage to create hp leads.... Champs like kaisa zeri are more scalers or waiting for 6... Some champs will feel stronger just cuz tgheyre vs weaker champs like sivir, xayah ,smolder, vayne
im trying to make a last ditch run to d4 since its end of season currently E3 my top 3 are janna, braum, lux. should i stick to spamming janna or add the rell in to climb quickly?
I'd say just stick to janna since its what youve already been playing and theres not much time in the season, unless you really arent feeling ur getting anywhere then just send it

Great video, but I wonder when to choose bloodsong or celestial
Love your Rell videos!
love the rell vids

His e and ult are really nice, I played a game of him recently but didnt record it ill try to see how he is in the next season

Hey here from Pekin love the video so far keep it up
if you play rell vs blitz. is it better to stay always unmounted to get the easy flip after the hook in lane or should i be mounted?
in general unmounted feel sbetter at this point a lot of the time u might even be able to buffer your after shock on his e
Here from pekin .. always wanted a support youtuber who is playing in high elo so i can learn the macros and micros
Welcome!
Mates like "please dont flame me for my bad game, ill cry". Bro youre like a million times better than most players of the game haha
Pekin just recommend this video and he's only playing 1 champ.......
Ultimate Pekin's betrayal 😢

when do you choose aftershock vs other runes?
Aftershock for closer/losing matchups
Hello! What runes did you use with glacial?
glacial-> hexflash - > biscuits - > cosmic insights
