It's amazing how feature-rich, expansive and fun these games are and being made in relatively short time frames, Monolith putting other JRPG devs to shame
to think they did this in less time with a smaller team and budget than BOTW2 which is reusing the world of the first game and will probably have less content
Do these games have an overarching storyline or do they all stand alone like final fantasy for example? Like do I have to play the others to understand what’s happening in this one cus this looks really cool
@@jeremyroberts8822 To answer your question the games are connected but not so much that you miss the entire plot. However XC3 is very clearly in the future of the other two so I suggest playing them before this one.
This is the most feature-rich game I think I’ve ever seen. We’ll see how well they all are fleshed out and feel, but it looks great.

@@Zephhi perhaps. I mean botw was fine but that had less stuff flying around on screen. Simmons was saying they completely overhauled the engine so we will see

@@joshuaworman4022 I mean... from some of the footage it looks like it drops even below 30. Hopefully they fix it up because I REALLY want this game to run stable
The combat in this game looks so good. I didn't like Xenoblade 2 at all (in any aspect besides OST and some gameplay stuff) and this looks so much better imo
The story for Xenoblade 2 is really good tho. The Characters are great and has their own complete arc in the game, even the villains are really well done imo(even better than XC1 or XCX for me personally). I'd say give it a chance (if you have trouble with English VA, I'd highly recommend the JP Voice since they nailed the Emotions and Feelings in those cutscene really well). Completely understand if you're turned off by all of the fan service in this game, but under that is a gem of a game that I wish anyone would give it a fair chance.
@@RemedySteiner The story is good, yeah, and I think the premise is well thought out. The actual story being blades being used, the story behind them, the main antagonist being a blade basically getting revenge...
The game's execution is just bad though...
I've fully played through the game, I gave it a chance.
The "fanservice" isn't the only bad part. Rex, Pyra, Mythra, and a shit ton of female blades have terrible designs.
The gacha system sucks ass. The merc mission system sucks ass.
A lot of the voice direction or acting, whatever it may be, isn't good. I'm not gonne replay the game just to hear the Japanese VA, I'm sure it's better, but I wanted to play the game in English.
I think Malos and Jin are great villains and like I said, the story is a good concept. The environments are great too.
But the things I dislike about it just ruin it for me. Rex and Pyra are really the main reason, when the WHOLE game revolves around them... I can't say I come out of the game enjoying it very much.
Trust me, I'm not going to be persuaded to like the game. I've disliked it for years and I will never play it again.
That being said... Xenoblade 3 looks way better in terms of everything and I honestly can't wait
