About halfway through the video I thought "ya...that water looks done now." And then she kept adding different lights and colors to the water and every step I thought, "Ya, that's about where I'd stop. It looks done!" Man do I have a lot to learn! Awesome and informative video. Thank you Masae and Bobby!
Yea i had the same feeling! Really shows you how important it is to be precise, thoughtful, and patient. I never find myself consciously doing all three simultaneously when doing digital art.
I was instantly drawn to this painting when I saw it on a Facebook ad I believe it was. So beautiful! I hope to get to this level of expertise one day.
I first saw this when I was in 5th grade but I wasn't into art by that time yet so I didn't really take this seriously but now in 8th grade I appreciate this video alot
High school artist here: I hope your art journey will be a happy and educated one!!! I am ending my 9th grade in a month and I see a improvement over these few years the more I took art seriously, always study and inspire yourself. I know many young artists have potential but we give up too soon.
I've watched this video about 10 times so far and still I cannot replicate the water painting by myself :D It's so beautiful! I love love the colors, this is so inspirational, thank you!
Water is really challenging to paint, even for the pros! There are several different ways to approach painting water, not just this one, so it might be helpful to check out others' approaches as well! Don't get discouraged and with practice you'll get there :)!! Good luck and thanks for watching! ~S
@@BobbyChiu Thank you for your kind words, it's truly a goal of mine to be able to illustrate all the stories I have in my mind. I get frustrated when my skills don't allow me to paint and draw as well as I would like. But I love practicing so I won't give up :D
Ok so, omg i need to ask questions haha Did you draw the “characters” (fishes and gorgeous furry animal with the flower) fully and absolutely detailed first, then started unveiling it as you felt would be more realistic writhing the water as you built on it???
Knowing the artist's inspiration behind a painting can make it even better and a lot more interesting!! Thanks for your kind words on this video and thanks for watching :) ~s
Was watching this with sound off at first. I won't lie, I was holding my credit card in a quivering hand googling some crazy shit looking for her brush pack.
Sorry for the confusion!! We wish there was a magic brush that added all those amazing colors at once, that would sure make things a lot easier haha! Thanks for watching! :) ~S
Great video. Thanks for mentioning the brush in the beginning. I may have come across a bit harsh last time. I really just wanted to mention it so those new to digital painting know what's going on
Beautifully done! I would love to go swimming with this guy! I really loved seeing the process in these layers. It's there anywhere to see the original drawings or planning before starting the painting?
Can someone teach me how to draw water realistically? Like objects in water, how light bends in water, clear water, tips? I can't find any good tutorials
@@BobbyChiu yea i got some nice tips from this video but what i really dont understand is for example how the were drawn... They are so detailed but made with such a big brush... And wow its amazing how you are still replying to a year old video
Can you people cancel my subscription already? I sent you 2 emails about this prior to my billing and I just received an invoice from you. Why can't you have a cancellation button on your website? You obviously don't check your cancellation email.
Hi Joaquin, we will look into this. This is very unusual. Can you please check your spam and promotions email and get back to me? I'm assuming you emailed info(at)schoolism
Schoolism usually gets back to you within 24 hours. Weekends and holidays may have some delay but not much. So if you look at when you sent your email, check for an email from us that same day or the next day in your Spam or Promotions folder. We take these things very seriously and check our cancellation emails very regularly.
Isn't this fake? When she is painting, there was already shadows and darker tones without her changing her color, and she doesnt even paint it, she just brushes the screen and a fox magically appears, she doesnt like change the nose a little or focus on the ear, nope she just brushes left to right, and suddenly theres a nose
In this video, Masae is simply revealing layers of her painting and this is not a timelapse video of the painting itself. Sorry for the confusion! The final painting is 100% real, all painted by Masae😊 ~S
It’s a ‘process’ video without having to see a video going at 60 to 80 times the speed zooming in and out like crazy. I much prefer this way. Also it’s just different if I’m recording a painting than ‘just painting’. Just painting gives me so much more mental freedom to paint better. Feel free to check out my previous videos if you want to see the super sped up versions

What's going on at 4:02? It almost looks like the fish are being magically inserted by the brush? Almost as if it were a fish brush lol
I think it's already pre made and they're just erasing parts
@@tylerromeno I don't think so. We never see that part in this speed paint.

Very helpful. Thanks!

I have the same coloration of cats as Masae Seki! I just got a little black kitten. This makes me want to do water studies!
Ahhhh so adorable!! You should totally use them as inspiration for your future studies! :)

Epic water
Glad you think so, too!! Masae did a great job!! :)

I actually did a color thumbnail and only did a line drawing for the creature :) If you check out my IG post you can see the colour 'sketch'
@@masaeseki2431 Thank you!
From 3:00 shes just erasing the dog that was drawn. We didnt really see the process

Which brush is used at the start?
Whats the brush of water name?
In case you dont get. This was awready painted, so she was erasing a mask was covering her done paint to show more faster
That's right!

Which Brush does she use?
I would love to know the brush
Looks to be Marc Brunet legendary line art brush which is free, but she may have tweaked the settings.
Hi , I’m interested in schoolism courses for -digital painting
Will I get certificate after completing that particular course ?
You do when it’s done with feedback.
Ffffff *** Fowkes. He makes me crazy every time. I need to stop waiting and take his class already.
Now's a great time to subscribe during our Summer Sale!!! :) www.schoolism.com

'erasing' /revealing layers doesnt make this a tutorial. this is totally unhelpful for how to draw water/ripples.
This isn't a tutorial though 😕 nobody said it is.
They are just talking about the beautiful art.
@@Holymolygoly it is advertised as a tutorial you dingus
Holy shit i couldnt even have the picture in mind to make it like that even after seeing the complete picture 💀

Нам не показывают процесс рисования. Они просто стирают маску блокирующую слой. Это обман
