I'm with you...I don't like to rush my makeup or watch anyone else rush their makeup. I could listen to your relaxing, elegant British accent all day long! And you created a beautiful look! So so pretty ❤
A tip to save product: put the products on the back of ur hand then diffuse with brush or Beauty blender before applying. It’s much easier to blend and the warmth from ur hand makes the products creamier
Looking great! That concealer shade is perfect for you. You made me giggle with the pout! And don’t worry about the ‘waffling’ that’s one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much! 🌹
So beautiful and I am glad you didn't rush it. One of my favorite things is listening to you chat in that English accent! OH and excellent thumb nail Dez!!
End look is quite nice. Makeup makes a world of difference for us gals. My puffiness under eye is controlled by less salt and my Maybelline pink tone concealer. I love the lips. Liner and oil look great. Bangs i love as they are youthful. ❤
Hi Dez, I’ve watched Sandra Sallin’s vlog, and she’s a real sweetheart and does give us older ladies some good advice. I liked your makeup look, but I do think you could blend the eyeshadow further up to soften the look. Hope you don’t mind me saying. Love the products you used.
Thanks Lynn, and not at all - interestingly you are not the only one to comment on that, and I've taken it on board -I have an affordable makeup look coming soon where I've hopefully addressed that ❤️
So nice to see this comment. I often wonder what business I have being on TH-cam with my naturally aging skin… with all its wrinkles and not having procedures up against all of the beautiful women on here who have had lots of work done. Maybe there is hope for me yet
Hi Dez, I think if you took the bronzer up to the crease of your eye, it would look even more beautiful, it helps tie it together and grounds that space you were mentioning. Very pretty look ❤❤ you’ve got great brows too and I think you could take these out a bit further but in a straight motion. I watch Gabi I too and I’ve learnt so much from her. Me and you really have the same taste in make up as I have most of what you’ve used today.
When I first get up I apply a very liberal amount of an Emma Hardie moisturiser, then go off and have breakfast and walk my dog, so a good 90 minutes have passed before I come back to apply my makeup, and I find that better than moisturizing just before applying.
Dez, you look gorgeous! Thank you for another chatty and informative video. And also thank you for your last one, which gave me food for thought and reflective enjoyment. I, too, love James Bolam in various television series, from The Likely Lads to New Tricks. I really enjoy your blogs that include details about your upbringing and life with your colourful mother! All the best for (fingers crossed) a summery week in London - Ruth
You look beautiful! Very nice! And I really need to learn how to contour because I have no cheekbones whatsoever and I need to do something to fake them!! so you’ve inspired me to give contouring a go! And I am looking forward to seeing a budget summer makeup! Thank you!
I swear by that Merit glow serum - love the way it makes the stick foundation glide on, although I use it every day, no matter which makeup I use, or no makeup. I do use a brush, but not the Merit one. I use the BK Beauty mini foundation brush, and a damp beauty sponge. I wear my contacts to apply my makeup, and then remove them when I finished! Are you talking about Max Factor Pan Stick? That was around when I was a teenager. Nice look - very soft yet polished.
I think it might well have been Max Factor -I need to google it! I must use the Merit serum more often, I keep forgetting I've got it! And thank you - it was fun to do ❤️
Fun video- your manicure is pretty too!❤. I think I will try the fenty concealer, thank you for sharing it again. And your links of course my sweet makeup advisor.
Thanks dearest Mags! I'm too lazy to do a manicure so I get them down at my local salon - they use dipping powder which I prefer to gels. Hope all is well your end ❤️❤️❤️
What a cute video 😊 Yes we do want relaxed and you’re not a terrible waffler . I love you in that blush it’s just gorgeous. I have it too and gosh they last forever. The eye pencil is beautiful 😍 I’m not sure I can get that here in Canada 🤨
Thanks so much, and LOL! I can imagine that blush will last - but it is rather pricey so thank goodness! And voila - found the VB pencil: victoriabeckhambeauty.com/en-ca/products/satin-kajal-liner ❤️
One of the best concealers I have ever used is by a company called Younique. When I put on any face cream I always apply it to my neck and back of neck and drag some down to the cleavage. For makeup I usually use my fingers because my bathroom sink is so small with a tiny ledge, I try not to have too many objects on it. I may hav e to try sponges, but I do like brushes, so light.
You look stunning. I must purchase the cinnamon liner and the Dou Dou blush. I love the way the foundation stick looks on you. Not greasy, not oily just right. Plus thank you for mentioning me. You are very dear. ❤
Hi Dez, I much prefer a damp beauty sponge also. I have getting glasses on my list! I have been needing them for years now. I may be shocked at what I actually look like. ❤
@@beautybydez my husband keeps asking when I’m making an appointment! I get my driver’s license renewed in August and won’t be able to pass the eye test, so I will have a pair before Aug 1 😂. But I need prescription lenses because I can’t see far, and now I can’t see close lol
Oh gosh I wish I could! I get my nails done at my local salon and they use a dipping powder, so I simply choose from the little nails on metal ring - sorry!
Hey Dez! Your makeup today was beautiful; your choice of highlighter, your eyeliner (I think it was cinnamon), and the way you did your blush. The color was beautiful. Nice and fresh looking. Which tends to be a little bit more youth provoking as well. I loved the lipstick and the lip liner as well. At first, I thought it was going to be a little dark until after you lined the lips and put the color on. It was beautiful. I love listening to you. You're too funny. Sometimes, I find myself rambling like that, too, to myself. The one thing that I was going to suggest is something that I tried that worked very well. And that is, for the eyebrows I used a stencil that has the exact arch shape that my natural brows have and then I used it with an eyebrow powder and it gave me a very good shape to my natural brows. It's also quick. My brows are kind of heavy but naturally arched, and I have to groom them myself. And after the brow powder, you probably won't need the gel (unless you just want it). But this was a gorgeous summer look - fresh, bright, dewy, and soft, which I absolutely prefer! Best wishes from the USA! Love ya, Dez! 💯 ❤
Aww Cat, you say the nicest things! Yes, brows, I need to sort them out - I never seem to get them quite right, and I like your suggestion of a stencil. I used to use a powder back in the day, just a Bobbi Brown eyeshadow actually, and when I was in Liberty's yesterday I visited the Bobbi counter but they don't do a brow powder any longer and the pencils looked a little dark. I'm going to hunt one down 🙂❤️

Yesss - that's it!

I think the eyeshadow needs to be applied above the crease and blended really well. It looks a little severe when it’s just applied to the mobile lid.
I agree - when I looked back it could have done with a bit more blending - lesson learned!
Hello darling! If I may share something about the eyesight?
There's tons of research on the need for omega3 (500mg) taken with B12 every day to keep the eye healthy, couple this with an eye health supplement like lutein and bilberry and the results are amazing.
I've tried all this and noticed that when I stop taking them my eyesight gets worse quickly.
