I loved and beat the game but I uad complaints. There is a real lack of build variety, especially once you realize a quality build has zero downside because of how scaling works in LOP. And throwables are so overpowered they were hard not to use all the time.

I can definitely see where builds had less variety, even the classes you choose in the beginning really doesn't matter whatsoever. Aa for throwables, I'm not sure if I even used them in a serious manner. I know they are overpowered but throwables are never really a part of my playstyle in most games.

I don't really understand your leap of logic between "quality build is great" and "lack of build variety".
Having completed the game 3 consecutive times with 3 different builds (NG - Technique + grappling hook and gun arms, NG+1 - Motivity + shield and mine arms, NG+2 - Advance, absolutely breaking the game with the 3 elemental arms + consumables for fun because, true, consumables can be insanely strong), there is just enough variety to not make it stale, even if it's clearly not on the level of the Souls-Ring games.
Actually, I feel it was pretty close to Bloodborne variety

@@cirederfsamot2730 Concerning the throwables. I've played the game a lot more since this video, and I tried the throwables more and actually had a blast. Yeah, they were cheesy and easy, but if you don't want to use them in your play through, you don't have to.
And while I can understand why people may want more variety if they are coming from a game like Elden Ring, I really like the variety in this game and liked the simplicity of the system. There may not be 500 different weapons, but there's still a hell of a lot of ways to come up with different combos and try out different playstyles. I also agree with your comparison to Bloodborne's variety.

@@cirederfsamot2730 not a leap of logic lol. If you level as a quality build you can literally switch to any weapon at any time, so nothing is saved for the next playthrough, you have already tried it all. Not to mention many of the weapons are direct upgrades to the others, meaning there is no point in using 95 percent of the weapons after a certain point.
