On the other hand, if you spend all or most of your time and energy on making more money, self improvement, etc., you SHOULD end up with more money and becoming a better person. “The happiest people are the ones who know why they are doing what they are doing, and they like it.” This is very true. I was a career woman and was on track to get everything I worked for in that field, but I found myself at 27 asking why was I doing this, and got very uncomfortable when I couldn’t answer that question. When I figured out I wanted to be a mom more than anything, I confided in my husband about our “plan,” and said look this is what will make me happier. It turns out my husband was also question why he was grinding so much in his career, traveling 5 days a week and barely seeing me. He also needed more meaning out of it all. I’m now a stay at home mom to our 4 month old son. After the birth of our baby and needing to support us that gave my husband the kick he needed and he got promoted 8 weeks later. Now he has an even more high profile position and gets to be home with us every night. We are both much happier.

As man who stumbled upon Samuels by the grace of the youtube algorithm gods, what I can definitely say is that his idea of what it means to be a high value man was a worthy goal to strive for. The mind set, resources, and appearance are all things I found appealing and I wanted that for myself. And when I began to start applying some of things he talked about into my own life I saw and felt a definite improvement in how I felt about myself and how others perceived me. But the key thing to keep in mind, is EVEN IF you fall short of that "high value" status, you will still be in a way better place than where you were before you started that journey. As a lifelong Muslim, I have to add that if the mother remarries before the child (boy or girl) turns 7 years old, the father automatically takes custody (unless he’s abusive, incarcerated, or engages in major sins). Islam respects lineage and recognizes that children are better raised by men who have a biological tie to them. Also, Islam teaches that the closet thing a child has to his/her father is the paternal grandfather and uncle.

As a black woman this man is spot on! Just like too many black men have gone fatherless so has women. I haven't heard a man call a woman fat since my grandfather😂😂😂...and he was the epitome of being a strong black man leading his family. Too many men are having there masculinity crushed instead of cultivated and bridled. Too many women are taking on the role of men out of necessity and we are losing. When I got married I looked high and low for what 'respect' meant to a man. Very few people would speak on it as if was oppressive to women. I had a definition of respect but it wasn't working for my husband bc it was the wrong definition and most of the married women I looked to had no idea themselves. I had to look back to the things my grandmother said to me that I thought was outdated. We need more of this not just through youtube but directly in the home. This is my first time hearing this gentleman and boy oh boy I wish there were more of him. We don't hear this enough.

But trying to determine what the top income earners are making is the legendary moving target in Black culture. Back in the 60's it was getting a college degree and living in the better part of town. In the 80's it was breaking the glass ceiling of middle and upper management, and living in the burbs, now it's what the top income earners are making to include the illusive "6 Figure Income".
The more we play this game, the further we dig our own hole.

His show has been getting better week by week.
His platform holds both men and women accountable. Both sides have to do the work to get what they say they want.
As far as delivery, the truth is harsh and considered "degrading" to too many people. But in this day of everyone being coddled and offended....we need the cold hard truth.

I can’t lie, when I first clicked into Kevin Samuels channel I was like I can’t stand this guy, but I kept listening because I realized it was the truth of men although I didn’t want to hear it. When I realized that Kevin really isn’t trying to be harmful but helpful, no matter how blunt and abrasive it may seem, that’s when I really started to be ok with him.
Something he said really made me sad when I saw the truth of it. He said something like, black men want to date black women, black women know black men like to see a woman who is in shape, it is like a slap in the face that we refuse to give him what he likes. A few weeks later I was in a grocery store and there were at least 6 fairly attractive black men, and though they were not ripped you can tell they work out. There were about 6 of us black women in the store in similar age ranges and nice looking in the face, but by the BMI we are all considered obese. It was like dang... we gotta do better... it is hard to hear but the truth is the truth.

Main thing I love about Kev’s content is he tells women brutal truths about their choices and situations in life. Women aren’t used to be told uncomfortable truths. Steve Harvey and other black love coaches just want to tell them “they are queens to be worshiped”. Our women believe they can be overweight (according to the a CDC BW are obese at a rate of 55%), have multiple kids, mountains of debt, have a herpes rate of 50% compared to 35% for BM and still want to demand queen and high quality treatment.

Your response is further proof that black women don’t like hearing uncomfortable truths and when they do the projections start. By the way, men are the gatekeepers or marriage and commitment, not women so men, by definition of being gatekeepers of commitment set the terms but once again many of the women who call in Kev’s show are only used to be told they are “beautiful queens”

I wasnt struggling but i knew if i wanted a family i had to make more money. So i tried affiliate marketing, that didnt work, i tried my own business selling products, that didnt work, i tried youtube and that didnt work, but doing all of that work led me to connections and now I'm a certified information security analyst, I know a few programming languages and a SQL developer studying for my interview. Not going to stop here, my goal is to make 7 figures and I'm excited on the new connections and friends I will make a long the way.
