- My grandma Audrey might be the oldest fan of Animal Crossing New Leaf in the world, and her 3500+ hour save file that has been the result of playing every day for over 4 years is testament to her love of the game. In this video gran shows you her ACNL home and town, while talking about what she likes about the game.

Young Squad pretty sure she meant she was dropping them off to her other PC villagers... if the museum is fairly full of fossils (which is much quicker to do than bugs and fish) then selling identified fossils is very lucrative and she doesn’t need the money, but her PC friends might. Audie is the mayor, but there are several other player characters with houses in town.

If you think about it, Animal Crossing is the ultimate grandma game. Plant flowers, live in a peaceful town, Decorate your house with weird and interesting items, talk to your neighbors. It's like a real grandma simulator.

Yes! Animal Crossing is a game that almost everyone can enjoy. I've put an embarrassing amount of time onto New Leaf, but not nearly as much as her. So wholesome.

I started playing animal crossing new leaf 5 years ago, and the only thing I accomplished was that my house wasn’t a tent anymore

this is a prime example of the importance of games in decreasing loneliness in the elderly and maintaining cognitive use. to be able to create something you are proud of without even leaving your chair, this should be implemented a lot more in care homes and just generally.

That aside, this is the most wholesome thing I've ever seen. I've had New Leaf for longer than this woman has (I got it in 2013), but somehow she has managed to put in more time and dedication into her town than I did. It just goes to prove that, with patience and hard work, anything is possible, whether it's a beautiful Animal Crossing town such as this, or a university degree.
I got New Horizons in May, and I was somehow lucky enough to get Audie as my first mystery-island villager. She is so sweet and I love her so much.
Like I stated earlier, this video also proves that nobody is too old for video games. Any game is for anyone.
