I have a tee shirt featuring the cover of Avengers #4, when Captain America was found and 'defrosted'. I had the actual comic back in the 60's, so it brings back happy memories. Jack Kirby's art might seem crude by modern standards but no one could convey the atmosphere or drama of a scene like he could. His 'space collages' were wondrous, andhad a photographic quality. Action scenes were genuinely exciting, while Ditko specialised in surrealist backdrops (Doctor Strange especially). DC, on the other hand, was quite conservative in its approach, relying on familiarity and the occasional oddball story.

I have to tip my cap to this channel for actually bringing this to the forefront. I never had this specifically as a child. But I know it and was always interested in seeing it. Thanks for attempting to preserve this

We used to watch these after school back in the late-1960's...they would show 2 episodes each day, with 4 episodes typically needed to close the story. The cliffhanger after the first 2 episodes always had us coming back to watch! The comics back then were .12cents, and lady who was our babysitter had older kids who had many of the Marvel comics that these cartoons were based on...I became a collector because of all of this! 🎵Doc Bruce Banner! Belted by Gamma Rays! Turns into the Hulk! Ain't he un-glamour-rays?! Still my favorite of all the Marvel Superhero songs. So very goofy, and we loved it.

We got back just in time to see The Marvel Superheroes ! Myself as well viewed them on WXON channel 20! What's up fellow Detroiter! Those were the days indeed!
Same with my uncle Bob, sep he liked to drink. He raised me up on his shoulders and the ceiling fan hit me in the head and knocked me out. He was so drunk he didn't know. He ran me outside and finally realized I was out cold upside down.... Good times.
Simplicity is the best. Straightforward story lines with conclusions, with dramatic overtones wonderful years of memories. Job well done, these are what cartoon are made of , and these modern writers should learn from.
Look how far Stan Lee came from this. What a huge accomplishment. RIP to Stan da man!! Love that guy with all his comic books that helped me excel in reading and Comprehension.
I'm British, and we didn't get these cartoons over here, at least not anywhere I lived. I'd heard of Marvel cartoons, but had no idea they'd created them by using the comic panels themselves and animating them! Thanks for posting. I'll be watching the whole of this (in time!). Superb. :-)
I know what you think. I'm Italian and only in the half of the 70's, through private televisione we had these cartoons translated in Italian and transmitted. I watch them in VHS in the beginning of the 90s in VHS,and I was a child, since I was born in 1983. These cartons, with Batman and the 1984 G1 Transformers, are an integrant part of my childhood.
I never get tired of watching the very first ever marvel cartoons. I was only nine years old when they came out in 1966. And although the animation then was not on par, what makes it worth it all is the art work of Jack kirby and the writing of Stan Lee.
Oh my goodness! I have not seen these cartoons in 40 years. Thank you You tube for sharing this classic animation with us all. You're so freaking awesome!!😉🤗👍😍💖😁

Thanks for posting these great Marvel toons!! Some of my earliest memories were watching these when I was 2-3 years old in 1966. I still have my 1st Grade report card that says I was an excellent reader (from reading comic books). For those arguing about who the artists were, the end credits say Jack Kirby, Gene Colan, and Don Heck. We used to have to wait to watch them, but now they're just a click away on my big screen TV! It's a Great time to be alive! 😎
I still love these. I watched these as a kid. Jack Kirby art animated and great voice acting. I wish Disney would remaster these and re-release them. Iron Man looked so cool in his bulky original armor painted red and gold just for the Hulk Space Phantom episode. The only time his old and new armor were combined.
These are amazing, admittedly primitive compared to what comes after, I heard of these but never saw them until now, I feel like it's Saturday morning and I'm sitting on the floor of the living room with my cereal bowl

I only caught the Captain America cartoon once when I was a kid, it was on at a crazy early time and I snuck out of bed to watch. Though it was just the one time, the theme song stuck in my head. I loved these and I'm so glad I can finally see them all again. Thank you "TH-cam" and Thank You "Nostalgia Road Trip Channel"!!!
THANK YOU My friend, this collection is a true TREASURE 'The Mighty Marvel Marathon'. I'm Brazilian and this series premiered shortly afterwards, surprisingly in 1967 or 1968, on open TV (dubbed version in Portuguese). I fell in love quickly, even without reading the magazines. The most striking characters for me were Captain America & Iron Man. The stories were very interesting, they far surpassed the low technical quality, which did not diminish their enchantment. Under the eyes of today's WOKE-DELICATE society they may appear to be crude and caricatured productions with explicit violence.... blah blah blah! After all, they want to produce a generation of pink unicorns 🦄🌈, if you know what I mean?!
Used to watch these on WXON out of Detroit and I lived 2 hours away used to tune my tv aerial. Your source is absolutely PRISTINE just gorgeous! I bought some dvd’s off ebay just to be able to watch and they weren’t as nice as these!

Awesome classic comics! I watched it after school in the 70s with my little brother in Jacksonville FL. This was when there was no color TV. This brought back great memories as a child. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it, means alot knowing so many people enjoyed this
I have to tip my cap to this channel for actually bringing this to the forefront. I never had this specifically as a child. But I know it and was always interested in seeing it. Thanks for attempting to preserve this
Great oldies
I Loved it as a kid in the 70's, then when a comic shop opened, i bought some of the cómics that we're Made out of the show, as a 10 year Old i was in Captain América Heaven!!!
@@rick-kf8fnCartoons were adaptations of the comics, not the other way around.
I remember Stan the Man announcing in his 'Bullpen Bulletins' that Marvel superheroes were coming to the TV!! Dad used to buy all the Marvel and DC comics, and when he had read them, I got them!
Unfortunately we never saw the cartoons in the UK.
This show started it all for Marvel
I watched this show on the first run in the 60s I also had all the gum cards and a few comics .. I now have all the episodes on dvd
Further proof of Jack Kirbys GENIUS: his static comics artwork translates seamlessly as animation
Oh my….I can’t believe your collection here. I remember watching these on a small B&W television as very young child on UHF channel 67 in New York. Thank you for this collection gift. I’m going to enjoy watching. It’s criminal that these are not available to purchase on blu-ray. I would definitely pay for this collection. Thank you !!!!
Thank you for putting these great memories on TH-cam! 🙂
These cartoons rule. They were campy in the early 80s when I was in high school, but I still enjoyed the heck out of them.

thank you for the Timestamps. I originally wanted to put them in, but was more concerned about hoping that disney allowed this to be posted and having it out. Yeah, after the namor episode before the marvel marching society outro that's the end
Thank you thank you thank you for the timestamps.
You forgot about 1968 Spider-Man that came on afterwards on some channels

@@robertcuratolo5339 currently working on the script for my Bravestarr retrospective, after that I will post the 2nd part
Had To Stop at the very beginning, because of all the sobbing and crying.
Hadn't heard these theme songs, much less the episodes in over 50 years!!
Thank you so much!
Channel 9 WOR TV in New York signing in! OG member of The Merry Marvel Marching Society.
Imperious Rex! (no joke: first tatts ever gotten where wings on both ankles!)

Nice! There was nothing like rushing home to watch every episode back in the day! #QueensintheHouse
NYC TOO🍷
But you are forgetting to mention that the dick Tracy show was on WOR in New York City. Also. If you don't believe me then please look it up. I thank you for your time.

I watched all these shows as a kid and now they are awesome
Same Mike. I'd watch these shows and then collected the comics. Had Hulk #3 and a friend asked to read it. Never got it back. Never lent out anymore. Loved Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Silver Surfer, Sub Mariner and Spidey. Sold my collection in 2015 for a nice tidy price.
I remember watching this show back in the 60s I had to have been about 5 years old at the time.
We watched them as kids, and we thought they sucked. Watched the entire series again and that opinion is even more reinforced.
To see the comic-book art of the immortal Jack Kirby, animated in this way, is absolutely glorious.
We used to watch these cartoons in El Salvador back in the late 70's before the civil war started to rage out of control!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS COLLECTION OF CLASSIC CARTOONS!!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR BRINGING BACK ALL OF THESE WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF MY CHILDHOOD!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I recall coming Saturday mornings watching theses classic cartoons urs we didn't have a color TV at the time but we didn't care no one did really in those days...best times great cartoons
Remember watching Mighty Marvel 60s cartoon at home after school, brings cool memories back thank you for posts.
glad you enjoyed it
A few years ago ,I was able to buy the Complete 1967 Spiderman dvds...the absolute coolest cartoons ever!!! Still watch as part of regular rotation...
🎵Doc Bruce Banner!
Belted by Gamma Rays!

Still my favorite of all the Marvel Superhero songs. So very goofy, and we loved it.

I recall one time my Uncle Ken was cutting grass and he had just got finished and it started to rain! He was 6'3 and I was 5. He put me on his neck and ran me home.
Good times.
I loved these as a child, which was the beginning of me becoming a comic book fanatic. Excelsior 💪👍👏
Simplicity is the best. Straightforward story lines with conclusions, with dramatic overtones wonderful years of memories. Job well done, these are what cartoon are made of , and these modern writers should learn from.
One of Marvel cartoons I very much liked growing up. They don't make em like this anymore .
Such Classics for sure .
Look how far Stan Lee came from this. What a huge accomplishment. RIP to Stan da man!! Love that guy with all his comic books that helped me excel in reading and Comprehension.
Yes indeed, made me a better person and well read. I wish I met Stan to tell him Thank you.
Oh please someone invent a Time Machine I want to go back to this simpler times
I saw these episodes in re-runs during the 70s and was amazed at the story lines
As a 53 y/o remembering the 8 yo me loving this... we both appreciate you
I am glad you enjoyed it, hopefully down the line i can upload the 2nd half of this
I'm British, and we didn't get these cartoons over here, at least not anywhere I lived. I'd heard of Marvel cartoons, but had no idea they'd created them by using the comic panels themselves and animating them! Thanks for posting. I'll be watching the whole of this (in time!). Superb. :-)
Glad you've enjoyed them, hopefully when I am not busy with work and other projects I can post the second batch of episodes
And although the animation then was not on par, what makes it worth it all is the art work of Jack kirby and the writing of Stan Lee.
glad you've enjoyed iy
@@NostalgiaRoadTripChannel You bet I did... thanks for posting!! 👍
I WAS ALSO ONLY 9 WHEN THEY CAME OUT IN 66 USE TO RUN HOME FROM SCHOOL TO WATCH THEM
Oh my goodness! I have not seen these cartoons in 40 years. Thank you You tube for sharing this classic animation with us all. You're so freaking awesome!!😉🤗👍😍💖😁
I am a hardcore comic fan. I loved these shows. I’ve been reading and collecting comics for 50 years ( I’m 60 now. Swamp thing was my first comic book. I was 10.) thank you for uploading these classics!
I remember watching this cartoon as a kid in mid 1970s
Great restorations! And even with the limited animation, these are still the best Marvel cartoons ever. 🥂
Agreed, the artwork and the plots. They kept things tight back in the day. The cartoons nowadays are more of the company making political statements
@@michaelr.grimmer6660 True! These were stories straight from the books, I used to collect all the 1960s era Kirby art books (they were destroyed in a basement flood 😤) and the cartoons were the same as the books I had.
The good old days! When comics were comics. And, cartoons were cartoons.
Word the golden era
Racist & misogynistic!!! Give me woke marvel any day over these gullible, white coded escapades!!!
@@BLACKMASKSOUL491…this wasn’t even that era, this came after that era

Exactly, and dangerous propaganda had no place.
John Vernon that voice is so recognizable, great actor as well as a voice actor for Namor, Tony Stark, and Major Talbot.
Thank You,Thank You. My Favorite Comic Strip Action Cartoon.
Here in Chile i watched these cartoons in 1980, good memories, thanks for this video!!!

Still better than 99% of cartoon today; excellent!
damn right!
Let's not exaggerate.... 😏
@@Anth230 Not really an exaggeration by any means. I watch cartoons from before when I was born over majority of crap nowadays.
oh? and when are you coming out of your COMMA... these were CHEEPLY made awfully animated and the only good thing was the bad guy's ALWAYS lost!! un like today
@@kellyford8832 it's coma, and people just don't like DEI and that is what predominates Disney now which owns Marvel. The classic Marvel Super Heroes had none of that garbage.
I used to draw the Captain America as a kid. I loved these growing up.
Not only did I watch all these when I was a kid but I read all the comics that the artwork came from to make these motion masterpieces.
These are absolute class , the simplicity of them is rather quaint amusing and also historical artistic gold .
Wow ! I remember watching this with my Grandfather on saturday mornings . It brings a tear to my eye. Thank you for this video 👍
thats what is all about, thank you for watching
I still love these. I watched these as a kid. Jack Kirby art animated and great voice acting. I wish Disney would remaster these and re-release them. Iron Man looked so cool in his bulky original armor painted red and gold just for the Hulk Space Phantom episode. The only time his old and new armor were combined.
Damn.. good quality, I paid a premium years ago to get these on DVD...ah...these are excellent!!
glad your enjoying it
@Nostalgia Road Trip Channel & Let me reiterate as we're prone to do in New Orleans...DAMN SKIPPY, THIS IS SPLENDIFROUS MOS'SCOCIOUS...!
Universal and Warners owns the series.
Both owns the Hulk and others while Disney also owns them too!
And Marvel with the Stan Lee Estate too.
These are amazing, admittedly primitive compared to what comes after, I heard of these but never saw them until now, I feel like it's Saturday morning and I'm sitting on the floor of the living room with my cereal bowl
Back when I was in the 5th grade that was the year when the marvel super heroes came on t.v ,and I would watch the cartoons every day after school. How I miss these old cartoons.
GOOD GOD! THEY DON'T MAKE'EM LIKE THIS ANYMORE! THE OLD CARTOONS ARE THE BEST CARTOONS. GREAT COMICS I ❤
Oh, I remember these. They were the best. I used to watch all of them after school. I wish I could get them on DVD. Add them to my collection of good classic animated series. 👌🏻👍🏻

Back in the mid 60's I was in grade school living in NYC and my classmate would bring all these Captain America comic books to school I would look at some of them on my lunch break , I will never forget those Marvel comic books it was a part of my child hood.
I only caught the Captain America cartoon once when I was a kid, it was on at a crazy early time and I snuck out of bed to watch. Though it was just the one time, the theme song stuck in my head. After nearly forty years, I've confirmed that I have been singing every word correctly... So thank you for that! All those who chose to oppose his shield must yield... Such a great line!

I salute you, MoonSpider. You have done a great service to humanity by sharing these classic, underappreciated cartoons with the world. The quality (and I don't know HOW you did it) of your compilation is absolutely superb -- these cartoons have NEVER looked this good whenever I have had the opportunity of viewing them over the years.
Loved these growing up. Born in 1970, better than the crap on TV now
Never heard "this" opening version of these classics... your editing is top shelf and as a huge fan of the original old school marvel cartoons, I greatly appreciate you uploading and sharing your time capsule with us, friend.👍🏾🙏🏾
you're welcome...and seeing as the House of mouse has'nt taken these down, I will push forward into posting part 2 soon....after i complete my bravestarr cartoon retrospective
The quality of the video is amazing. I have seen many worn out versions. I really wish Disney+ would put this on their streaming service. This was such a big part of GenX's childhood.
Definitely thanks for posting. Especially the Captain America origin. The one I've seen on TH-cam heavily edit the part where the spy/villain shoots and kills Doctor Erskine. I grewup with these when I was a kid. Great memories. 👍👍🙂🙂

Back in the late 60's every night was marvel night. Monday night Captain America, Tuesday The Hulk, Wednesday Iron Man, Thursday Thor, Friday Submarina and Saturday morning the Fantastic Four.Used to walk to Bob's on Beach 44th st on Beach Channel Drive every month and get the latest Superman, Batman and Marvel comics. That was a special time to be a kid
On a unrelated note, The Watchmen Motion comic is incredible. I always wondered why that or this never really caught on. This is awesome, thank you.

I’ve never seen these, but this is like watching a comic book.
Beautiful art and fun, simple storytelling. Classic!
The classics never die
