- Today at the Mystery Shack, I examine how the writers of Attack on Titan have been subtly showing you precisely what is going to happen. Using these clues along with some basic story-writing interpretation, I was very successful in predicting the events of episode 7 and will attempt to carry this way of thinking forward to predict the rest of the final season. Of course, this is all in good fun, if everything in this video is wrong, that's just a part of trying to figure out this puzzle of a show.

Here's another INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT clue. In episode 10, Hange asks Eren why he says "Fight" twice when talking to himself and suggests that maybe he's fighting two battles at once.
Something else to point out...Mikasa got a cut on her right cheek from that time Eren tried to smash her at Trost..and the scar never healed. She's still got it even in Season 4.
I think Eren's 'second' battle is to control a certain rage that comes with the attack titan. In his early battles you clearly saw cases where it's like a monstrous entity took over his mind. The voice of his inner monologue would change.
Maybe for this season the rage only looks like its under control but is convincing Eren he needs to be more aggressive than he strictly has to. After all, if the whole purpose of the attack on Libertalia was to get Zeke...they could've just faked his death and snuck him away. The whole killing the apartment building thing was completely unnecessary.

Well if youve read the latest manga chapter then you know that eren seems to have been defeated but when Eren says tatakae twice and hange asks are there two rounds of the fight i think that was a foreshadowing that Eren is maybe gonna reactivate the rumbling as in round two when they think theyve won

The foreshadowing in this entire series is just stellar. I'd say that future writers should add watch this show and take notes. The foreshadowing, the world building, the execution and pacing of an arc - it's all on show here.
crazy how this story was made by one man with ideas larger than life and his editor tempering them with him into the most beautiful time-enduring diamonds. i also really appreciate that the author is very hands on with the anime adaptation while he's still penning the remaining chapters. i think i read somewhere that the author even said that "the anime is the final version of the story" or something, HE'S DOPE

It's really not that crazy to make these predictions if you're paying attention closely to the story. Most people just don't pay attention to detail. A lot of this stuff is made clear and prominent by the show if you enjoy being very engaged while watching a show.

I am feeling the same way, but I think the shows writing does give a lot away. I rewatched season 1, so my GF could start watching the show and she was able to find out a huge lot of things from season one by just overthinking the stuff she was looking at.

I am not a Manga reader. I think one thing you left out is the glaring foreshadowing at the very beginning of s4 ep1. Falco wakes up from a dream in which he described himself "flying around with a sword and there were titans there" this seems massively important to me. The other character that had an experience like this was eren in s1 ep1. I dont know how but this makes me really think Falco might eventually eat eren. Who else's memories could he have been seeing there? Falco is one of my favorite characters already because of how wise he is for such a young person. I think he might be the character I am most interested in going forward
All I’ll say is yes Falco is extremely important for the story and events to follow. You won’t be disappointed with where his character goes as the story progresses.

I noticed in the intro of episode one that falco said something about flying around with swords, which means that he will het the armored titan I think. Because the Owl Cruger know about Mikasa and Armin (I don’t read the manga btw)
Yes it’s already been confirmed that inheritors of the Titans can receive memories from both in the past and the future inheritors. The pay off for Falco will be great, and he will have one of the greatest moments in the series a few episodes from now.
I won't confirm or disconfirm anything, but you've actually missed a lot of clues. Good analysis job overall though. Most reactors and reviewers on TH-cam are watching the show brainlessly and asking dumb questions or making dumb remarks for the most part.

The predictions may seem fishy, but it also can be the product of Isayamas writing style of giving bread crumbs of the story. It only takes someone with a bit of imagination to come up with some basic conclusions. In some aspects he was wrong and he also missed other details.
The rumbling was introduced in Tyburs speech, but some caught the hint in Season 2 Ending Theme Yuugure no Tori that such thing as a rumbling actually exists. But this clue appeared so early that the puzzle piece couldn't fit in a good position.
The existence of humanity beyond the walls was also foreshadowed with Erwin's father, nobilities disinterest and discussions about the outside world was considered taboo. Due to these reasons some people came to a conclusion that humanity didn't go extinct. Doesn't necessarily mean they've read the manga, but that they've noticed the clues that Isayama left.
The only damning evidence that he may be a manga reader is the episode 1 title, but that can be a lucky guess.

Does anyone remember the dude who explained aot s2 ending when it came out? At that part manga was at ch96 or 99, and he predicted some things (from s2 ending) that manga yet have not revealed (such as those 3 daughters eating the Ymir to inhert the titan powers).

btw, in the very first episode of season 4, when falco was brought back down into the trenches from ground zero, gabi asked him if he remembered the mission, to which he replied "wasn't i swinging a sword killing titans just now?"(or smthing similar to that). Just like Kruger who told grisha yeager to save mikasa and armin even before they were born, falco got the memories of a titan shifter from paradis island, which implies someone from paradis island is eaten by falco, that's why he can see memories of scouts slaying titans
To your point about the risk of introducing the war hammer this late, the fact that the Tyburs are noted as a family that has purposely not entered the conflict until now reinforces that idea. Isayama understood that they’re late in the game and gave them a reason for not being part of it so far... before killing them off. Every loose end is covered

Many people have been able to figure out that there are nations outside of paradis since season 2. Just because YOU weren't able to catch it, doesn't mean other people can't.
Isayama is a big fan of A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones so it's no wonder he's a mad genius
In my opinion there is only one thing in this whole video that makes me think he read the manga or had some information that wasn't revealed yet in the anime. When he was talking about the Zeke/Levi/"your time ran out" scene, he stated that it was a giveaway to Zekes betrayal on Marley. While i do agree with that, me and most of my friends thought that line was a signal, also his betrayal is hinted at from other scenes (ep 2 i belive, when its revealed that Zeke did not tell Marley about having royal blood), there is something strange about his prediction. He immediately states that ZEKE is working ONLY with EREN and wants to INFILTRATE Paradise Island and doesnt even consider the posibility of Zeke wanting to help the eldians inside the island and actually, honestly working with them and not only Eren. The fact that he doesnt back this part of the theory with facts and just glances over it makes it more suspicious. I can not say with 100% certainty that he read the manga, but to me it seems that way. Honestly reading the comments before seeing the video i thought he would make even more predictions. Here's an interesting theory for my fellow anime onlies ... Eren and Kruger both could see future memories also in season 4 episode one Falco Said something when colt brought him back to the trench . Something about flying in the sky with two swords . Now , keep in mind that Kruger most likely saw Grisha's memories of Armin and Mikasa. likewise Grisha might've seen Eren's memories when he said about saving Mikasa and Armin to Eren before injecting the serum . Now, Eren had a vision of future events . The things common here are future memories and all 3 of them are attack Titan holders at some point . So we can speculate that the Attack Titan grants the user a special access to memories of the future. Which would mean that if what Falco Said in the first episode of s4 about flying with 2 swords (which is probably the odm gear) is indeed his future memories then that would mean he will be the one to eat Eren presumably at the end and inherit the Attack Titan and the founder along with it .

Great job! I'm up to date in the manga so I can just say that they've stuck quite tightly to the original source but it still highlights how good the writing and editing is. Nothing is put in without good reason and you've picked up on a lot of details that can be easily missed in the chaos.
It's way harder to focus on the anime than the manga without pausing and taking in the info lol. Season 4 had me rewinding a lot and looking for specific word choices that you notice way easier in the manga
Close on a few things but missing some important details, great theory though! You'll still have an entertaining time with the finale!

I didn't predict the twist with Zeke, but I figured he and Eren would come together at some point after their brief exchange in season 3. The time travel thing I've suspected since Kreuger mentioned Armin and Mikasa in those flashbacks, and I imagine Eren will use this to learn the truth of the Titans and Ymir and all that eventually. And following this season I also think everyone will turn against Eren but I think he will have most of the Titan shifters either on his side or he will take most of their powers and become like Ymir.

sure i know i am here after the story has ended, but one thing i want to say is that an important factor that might have slipped you is the fact that a founding titan can do what ever they feel like with Eldians, so considering Eren's mission of destroying his enemies, it would make more sense to just turn all Eldians into *shifter* type colossals rather then using wall titans, mainly because wall colossals are smaller then shifter colossal and shifter types come with a nuke upon transformation
it also doesn't help that there is some 400k to 500k wall titans total

Guys, I know it kinda looks like he read the manga, but he might still be an anime only. I've seen a bunch of really attentive anime onlies come up with spot on theories really early on:
MANGA SPOILERS down here, careful:
Onyankopon and Yelena were standing out to begin with, and making the connection with the missing ships isn't that hard, either. There's people suspecting Kiyomi is on it too, although they haven't seen much of her yet.
Zeke's turn was hinted out even more strongly with the baseball and glove. On a similar note, there were people recognizing Eren as soon as he appeared with the misplaced armband. Manga readers have been discussing this stuff really early on, too.
Also, further conflict between Levi and Zeke was ALSO hinted at the airship, just last episode.
Gabi being a murder goblin was stated in episode 1. As soon as she picked up the rifle and started running, someone was bound to die.
Eren activating the rumbling sounds like a feasible outcome after hearing about it and seeing him act these last episodes. You don't introduce the rumbling like that without it being relevant. Also, complete extermination of the enemy was ALWAYS one of Eren's most prevalent mottos. Just look at the last scene of S3.
The timey-whimey stuff has been around since episode 1. And episode 1 of season 4 added a new hint with Falco's dream. We've been theorizing about it for years, guys. Some even think Eren is in a time loop of sorts, and will reset to chapter 1 (or has been doing it for a while). Hot take, Eren sleeping under the tree and waking up crying will come up again sooner or later. I must've read the manga lol.
The only thing that hasn't happened in the manga yet that was mentioned in this video is Mikasa stopping Eren in some way. I believe the opposite at this point of the manga: Mikasa might still switch to Eren's side, but Eren himself can't be stopped unless killed or talked to within PATHS (I doubt it tbh).
Also, wether you like it or not, there's a lot of people that think that Falco will inherit the Attack and Founder titans (AKA eat Eren). There's a LOT of symbolism hinting at that. If the story comes full circle, Falco might get a chance to either get revenge on Paradis and stop the threat once and for all, or stop the circle of hatred, which is what Eren failed to do. Falco as he is right now would probably choose the latter, but if someone like Gabi or Reiner dies in front of him, his decision might be harder to predict.
Still a possible outcome. Someone coming up with that (or WHATEVER the end of AOT will look like) doesn't mean that they read Isayama's draft or something. It's just storytelling.
My problems are that he assumed Gabi would do something bad to Sasha, which she did, just by observing the fact they stared at each other for like 2 seconds. It’s also suspicious that he thinks that Gabi and Falco will see that Paradis isn’t full of devils just because they have an Eren-Mikasa-Armin friendship dynamic.

Because as you said, Eren only needs protection from himself and she very much did in multiple occasions throughout AoT.
