There are a lot of similar projects on TH-cam, but this feels like the best version to me. One question: what size were your cushions? It would be nice if the project cut list (beginning 0:50) said "cut these pieces to the depth of your cushions plus 4 inches" or "cut these pieces to the width of your cushions" and so on.
Incredible work, I will be making this sofa this weekend. also, I will make a matching 3 seater so instead of 47", I will use 70.5 in length. The rest stays the same.
Hello, please, if you know, explain to me clearly, are the numbers written there the length of the boards, or what are the sizes of them, if you know, tell me
I have made many wood projects like bookcase , bench , spice rack, umbreller stand, picnic yard table . and nicks and nacks to name a few, This looks like a fun project Thanks doll..
Thank you very much for sharing your skills with all of us out here! Excellent job, sir! Can't wait to make my own sofa now that I have learned how to. 🙂
Just simple and smooth tutorial that anyone from the viewers can follow. Thank you sir for this kind of content i hope i can do the same project, thanks for idea Godbless
Thank you so much! 😊 More more videos to come, I have so many projects in the pipeline! And if you want the cut list and more details on this sofa build make sure you check my instructables! 😉 Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment, super appreciated!
I am a Spaniard in Chile and I loved the chair. I found it great and I know what the wood is, it is a 2x4 board, but would it be possible for you to help me with the plan for the measurements?
this looks extremely doable and the end product is beautiful. my only question is how tall/high is the third (bench holding) 24inch 2x4 inside the arms of arm rests?
Great and quick build, however the height of the armrests is 23.5 in total and is too low to account for proper back support. I suggest to replace the height by 27” total. I have also i cread the length of the cuts from 47” to 48”
Hi Niko! The back has no angle, it is 90°. The cushions tho have an angle so that compensates. 😉 I have included a lot of pictures on my instructables if you want more details and pictures of the build.
This is great!! Thank you for sharing Quick question why did you chose 47 inches for the length instead of 48? Since the average cushions are 24 inches did both fit properly? I’m new to this and was just wondering.
Thank you! You would need longer pieces for the center part. Instead of [5x] 2x4x47'' and [4x] 1x6x47' , you could replace the 47" by a custom length of your choice. That said, i would not go much longer than 60" otherwise a central support would be needed. Hope it help! Make sure you check my instructables here : www.instructables.com/Easy-Outdoor-Sofa-From-2x4s-and-Two-Power-Tools/ . I've included several pictures of the pieces you need. 😊
I want to order timber today or tomorrow, but I am very beginner :) can you please tell me what exactly you mean about 7? (for 2x4) and also 2 (for 1x6)? How many meters shall I buy for 7 and 2? Thanks
Perfeito, obrigado! :) Espero que o google tenha traduzido bem! lol Awesome thank you! I have several more projects like that to build. I need to make two bedside table to match with my bed frame really soon. Thanks for the suggestions i really appreciate your support. Stay tune more more and more coming! :)
I bought them last summer at my local Rona ( Lowe's division ). 24x24 is one of the sizes I see most often when shopping for outdoor cushions. They have changer the model this year, they are more thicker but would work with that build, maybe I would put the seat a bit lower to compensate. If you have any questions feel free to ask! 😉
Sorry that is a very poor design. You Never want the weight of anything to be supported by screws. They were not designed to hold weight as they have a very low shear force. You need to have the weight held by solid wood. !!!!
You don’t even tell us the spacing between the pieces of wood… Neither does your instructables page. People also need to know the height to put the weight bearing 2x4.

Great job. One tjing - It looks like the back of the sofa is at an angle but you haven't mentioned it in your description or video.
Hi Niko! The back has no angle, it is 90°. The cushions tho have an angle so that compensates. 😉 I have included a lot of pictures on my instructables if you want more details and pictures of the build.
Great idea
Love this bench!

Good video man!!
Thank u for detail imfo😊
great and simple.
Amazing! What adjustments would I need to make to build this wider?
Thank you! You would need longer pieces for the center part. Instead of [5x] 2x4x47'' and [4x] 1x6x47' , you could replace the 47" by a custom length of your choice. Can you provide a link for the cushions?
Hermoso, quiero hacer esa gracias por compartir
Size of the cushions and link to where you got them?
Great video well done project.
Thank you!
Great!😊😊😊😊
Awesome
Were the cushions purchased? Standard size of some sort?
I bought them last summer at my local Rona ( Lowe's division ). 24x24 is one of the sizes I see most often when shopping for outdoor cushions. They have changer the model this year, they are more thicker but would work with that build, maybe I would put the seat a bit lower to compensate. If you have any questions feel free to ask! 😉
very nice
how to get free plans?
Where did you get the cushions?
Excellent ...
Thanks a lot! 👍
Please I don't understand the measurements at the beginning, the 2x4x8 ones, those three at the beginning, could someone explain to me?
I think 2x4x8 is just the size of the board you buy, and then cut your smaller pieces from that.
The last number isn't logical 2x4x "8", is so small.@@gregmasciola3332
@@Portes60it’s 8’
Very easy Where do I get the free plan ???
Right here : www.instructables.com/Easy-Outdoor-Sofa-From-2x4s-and-Two-Power-Tools/ 😉
Now I need to find the cushions
شكرااااا حبيبي ❤
what are the final dimensions?
süperrrrr
👍👍👍
What kind of wood?
Doesn't include measurements for placement of pieces.
Sorry that is a very poor design. You Never want the weight of anything to be supported by screws. They were not designed to hold weight as they have a very low shear force. You need to have the weight held by solid wood. !!!!
And yet it’ll probably last forever.
Woodprix has a lot of designs to choose from.
You don’t even tell us the spacing between the pieces of wood… Neither does your instructables page. People also need to know the height to put the weight bearing 2x4.
