That Florida beauty has me like 🥵🥵🥵 I've been wanting one for months, but kept putting it off because of the price, and have finally decided I'm going to get one as my graduation gift to myself. In 2017, after a decade of severe depression, I made 2 attempts to unalive myself. In 2022 I'm graduating from uni with a first in psychology, going on to do a masters, and I'm happier than ever with a life I'm proud of and a future to look forward to. I've earned that goddamn expensive plant 😂

When you showed the mature leaf of the white monster, I immediately thought of a snow/marble queen pothos! Some of them have consistent absurdly high levels of white but grow well, albeit slower than an average pothos, so I can kind of see why this monstera survives while being stable since it has very similar variegation. Im looking forward to updates on it, I think it's quite pretty and could look cool as a full plant
I have a Snow queen like that. That’s why I call it a Snow Queen because it’s so different from my marble queen. I have a leaf that just grew and it’s almost all a light mint color and no spots of darker green on it. It’s not even in high light. I have had it for over a year and it’s been very stable. I’ve chopped it up and all the baby plants grow the same. I love it 😍

Yes that’s a 100% Monstera ‘White Monster’.. It grows fast not just becoz it’s a deliciosa, but becoz there are traces of chlorophyll hidden beneath the cream color esp around the veins of the leaves for this variant.. Chlorophylls are only missing in the albo form and but not in others.. One thing to add, apparently the eastern part of the world just got offered this plant (both cutting n TC) a week ago and it was introduced as the ‘newest’ Mint variant. I’m so grateful that you’ve made this video.. 😘

I have never done leaves in resin, but I've read leaves need dried otherwise they will rot inside the resin. I've seen people use silicone for flowers to keep the color and not look withered. Just an FYI.

The original white monster came from Kunzo but there is still a lot of controversy over whether it has to come from Kunzo lineage or if it's just a nickname for that specific pattern of variegation.
I was looking for this comment! Kunzo has said that it originates from one of his mother plants but no one really knows for sure if it does.
True, I did read about that on his social media I think 💚

All the plants were beautiful! I was glad to see the Spiritus looking so healthy! I thought it was going to look bad with the whole disclaimer. I know what you mean. I just bought a philodendron Serpens dark. It arrived 2 days ago with frost damage.. I want to rehab her, and the shop refunded 50% of my money. They offered a full refund but I REALLY want to save her. She is just gorgeous and I'm in love. I talk to her and tell her how beautiful she is. I haven't lost sleep yet but I'm checking her several times a day and actually have thought of getting another one but when its warmer out, we're in the 30s during the day so.......

as far as i know, cuz i have 4 of these white too, it's getting more green as it grows, the next leaf will have more green than the last, and when you cut them, the new one start fresh with white again.

Omg I seen the white monster for sale ages ago. It got no attention. I think me & 3 other people commented like, “🤔explain yourself🧐” lol. I do remember seeing the green veins & petioles and still thinking “how does it keep growing?” Lol. I Was so glad to see you got one and hear your experience.. ALSO- please do a resin leaf preservation video. I traded a bunch of my plants to someone new to the plant community and was trying to leave her resin hobby. I have kids. So my 2 hobby’s are plants and resin art.. I’m super interested in what you have in mind!

Microsorum Thailandicum is hard to kill but super easy to drop their leaves off. If your place is humid enough then they should be ok. Also, they love shade. Bright indirect light 🥰
