Joseph (Tom Cruise from Top Gun and Jerry Maguire) is fighting a man at Kelly's (Colm Meaney from Star Trek) club for $200 and is winning until he notices one of his backers groping Shannon (Nicole Kidman from Eyes Wide Shut and The Hours). Joseph pushes through the crowd to free her, but is pushed back into the ring where his foot accidentally "toes" the line, and he is defeated by a sucker punch. In retaliation for the hundreds of dollars Joseph has cost Kelly and his friends, Joseph is not allowed in the club anymore.

What’s the movie Far and Away about?
Joseph (Tom Cruise from Top Gun and Jerry Maguire) and his landlord's daughter, Shannon (Nicole Kidman from Eyes Wide Shut and The Hours), travel from Ireland to America in hopes of claiming free land in Oklahoma. The pair get sidetracked in Boston, where Joseph takes up boxing to support himself. When he loses a pivotal fight, the two are left penniless. Now faced with poverty, the two must find new ways to scrape by. As their affection for each other grows, Joseph questions whether he is truly what Shannon needs in her life.

I love to come back and watch this scene cause my dad was the extra to throw Tom Cruise back into the fight and my uncle as well at 2:54 . My dad recently passed away a few years ago so it’s a awesome memory!
