I have a ka-bar D2 extreme from my time in the service. It's an amazing knife with my only complaint being it's not very practical if the need comes to having to sharpen it in the field. I currently work in wildland Fire as a lookout, spending 4-6 months of the year alone in the forest. I'm looking into a fixed blade for everyday carry within AZ laws. I am hoping to find the happy medium between it holding up to a beating like my ka-bar while also not needing fancy stones or systems to sharpen in the field if needed. Would you have any recommendations to put me on the right track to finding such a knife?

I wonder if like cars, certain aesthetic styles start to trend across makers and models of knives through the years too. I imagine everyone is also trying to stand out and set the trend but I think I notice some of the winners you showed here feature a more angular handle for the pocket knifes with that built in bar style lanyard loops. I feel like I’m seeing more of this style in newer knives, and its always fascinating to see the evolution of “edc standard” choices and what’s popular over time. Thank you! 🔪 ✨

I paid $65 for the Kershaw Iridium. It is mind-blowing at that price. It competes very well against knives twice that price. I would love to see a version with better steel maybe CPM 154 at $100-$120.

I'm looking at buying a buck paradigm now. You video's have put me up on some great knives to get. What's your thoughts on the auto verse the assisted version. Which do you like better? I'm leaning on the assisted version. It seems easier to close since you don't have to hold it open while closing the knife. But I haven't held either of them so I wouldn't know.
That MKM kitchen knife looks about perfect . The belly looks right there . I will definitely be getting that . Big fan of Japanese powdered metals as well .

My Dream Knife is a OTF but the Blade and handle of the large Buck Knife from movie Scream. Or an OTF fullsize Chef Knife 🙏🔪❤
