  • @WILSON0o6
    @WILSON0o6 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    You made it so effortless with those straps. Some use those metal bars wit handles on them. Only concern is scratching the hardwood surface if the plastic gets mess up on the bottom

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christian Wilson Yep you’re exactly right, they are typically made for Carpet

  • @delaneysatard4762
    @delaneysatard4762 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I use those too. I also cut small pieces of carpet. When i get to the doorway, or wherever there is hard surface i switch to upside down carpet pieces. The upside down carpet pieces work the same as skids on hard surface and will not scratch the floors like skids can. Don't scratch floors, it won't pay well.

    They work great, be careful on hardwood.
    They need a little maintenance, I have both lengths and noticed they surface gets a little rough.
    You may use fine sand paper to smooth them and a clear car wax or something that will not stain even a light sanding will help.
    Lol I have lost 2 sets of 4 foot ones.
    I noticed one customer had a set just like mine at end of the job, so now I'm putting a mark on up sides.
    Glad to see you using them bro, cause it saves your back.

    Very nice long furniture gliders, I haven’t seen those b-4, but it’s easy when you don’t have stairs involved, what about when you do? 😅
    I just moved, reason why I asked.
    I felt sorry for the movers as their company didn’t give them any tools to work with and protect their backs from getting injured.
    They are very good at what they do, they protect the furnitures better than themselves, but they use body force for every heavy boxes and furnitures.
    I just wanted to know if there’s any other way to protect your back in cases like this, when there’s too many stairs involved? Other than hand trucks, what else is there?
    PS.: they didn’t have the hand truck as well. 😥

      If you are wanting to move it out of the room it will probably take two people, and you will probably need to lean the couch over front words I am either Carrie or slide it out on different side of it, definitely want to take a strain or a bungee cord or something like that and fasten the mattress down to the couch frame, the last thing you want is to be carrying that couch and the bed to unfold
