- Nintendo have released some amazing games, but business decisions such as releasing the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, doing little about joycon drift, taking down fan creations and much more have shown how anti-consumer they can be. I talk about many of the decisions they have made to show how anti-consumer they have been, with funny jokes all throughout. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! No matter what you think.

Funny enough, I would be fine with that if it was a newly made cartridge together with a new box and manual (no digital release, has to be physical). Some of the prices that old NES games go for are insane, especially the post 92 games (when most people jumped to the supernintendo). A few weeks ago, someone was trying to sell a copy of Mr Gimmick on Ebay for over 3 000 USD, getting a new copy for 60 bucks is insanely cheap compared to a used copy that's way over 50x the price..

Look, i have nothing against Nintendo employees or game designers, artists, graphic designers, engineers, hardware designers, etc. Those people actually tackle very good ideas and turn them into great unforgettable games, But the ones at the top of the food chain aka executives are the ones who mostly do “the thing”
Well said. Those at the top such as executives are very good at business but tend to be out of touch with what the corporation does. This can lead to maximizing profit at the expense of the consumer and the other Nintendo employees you mentioned.

Easily the dumbest thing they've done in the video. The expansion prices make at least some sense because they have a profit motive but Nintendo doesn't allow you to purchase their OSTs (would make a lot of money if they did). They haven't uploaded them period, Gilva never put ads on them but they still attack him.

Since SEGA doesn’t mind most people making fan games as long as no profits are made and they even hire fans to make games for them, they’d likely have a field day with Nintendo for wrongfully striking down a fan project that SEGA is okay with.

My cousin’s 15 year old DS still works fine
That switch lite i brought from amazon started drifting at the first week, and the lite was supposed to fix the drifting issue

@@DeepFriedVegan it was also the last made in Japan system, because starting around 2008 or so, all their products began being made in China. That cheap build quality will come back on them.

The NES, Super Nintendo, N64 and Sega Genesis apps on the Nintendo Switch suck because when you play online on the NES, Super Nintendo, N64 and Sega Genesis app's multiplayer games, your online win, loss and draw records do not record. The N64 games on the N64 app on the Nintendo Switch suck because they don't save your progress and you can't continue where you left off. Nintendo can keep their stupid apps. All I care about is playing online on Nintendo Switch-related games.
I think a lot of people are in this same boat. Also the quality for the N64 games look worse than the wii's emulation. It's crazy, take a look.

@@DeepFriedVegan I would stick with Sony, Microsoft and Steam instead of Nintendo because Nintendo has habits of shutting down their eShop on their Nintendo-related online home consoles and online handhelds every year and that gets annoying.
I hate the fact you need a subcription to play dinosaur age games. Even thought they would still make money if it was on the eshop itself

Something I don't like about nso is how you're forced to get games that would normally been on a virtual through it. The way I see it, all the games should be sold separately on the eshop via the virtual console and then have a separate option to pay a higher tier nso subscription to get them how they are currently offered on the switch. I don't want to pay $20 - $50 just to play one game that I should've been able to buy separately for 5 dollars, paying the subscription should be optional to play classic games.

For as long as I have been around it seems like there has always been people who hate Nintendo for being a business. Almost everything you are complaining about here can be levied at anyone in the video console business at some point in time but if Nintendo does it, not only is it a mistake but some weird crime against Humanity. If you don't want NSO, then don't buy it. It isn't anti-consumer on them for making it, nor are you wrong for not buying it.
Idk I think that's a misinterpretation of what I was trying to get across here. Nintendo has a lot of great products that I like, but what I am expected to pay for them is the issue. NSO's features are way worse than other communication services and 99% of people can easily emulate the games that come with the expansion pack for free.
No one is wrong for buying what they sell, but Nintendo definitely aren't up to industry standard.
