    That's a wonderful project, very useful. I have a couple of old electric motors, some I bought cheap and some I was given for free. I intend to put them to use in projects like this. Thank you and thumbs up #693.!!

    That came out great! The extra effort really made it a nice piece. Probably something I should make for our shop at some point, was thinking about a CBN setup somewhere down the road

      You must have different mailboxes to the ones here in Australia. Too flimsy and you would spend almost as much time reinforcing it as building a solid machine body from the start.

    Very nice build. Two things I would probably change if I get around to building this are 1) the switch position and or a switch shield (right now it's going to get fine conductive dust raining down on it, not catastrophic but will probably shorten its life a bunch, a quick fix would be one of those waterproof switch covers that screw on to the mounting threads) and 2) put a bit of a flare on the ventilation holes, easy to do and would help with the very nice vintage look you have going).
    Neither are really big deals and this looks fantastic as is.

    i've reference this video several times in building my own, its been helpful. I'm working on my table now, having difficulty getting the center height right. I'm borrowing the table from another grinder & its a tad to narrow to get all the way up to center. Came on here to se what you & a few others did with center height.
    I noticed you've gone quite a bit above center, I'm curious how/why you went that way?
