Brings back so many memories! Freshen Up gum was a big feal - I loved it. There wee more more snacks and treats back then and they were delivious. Thank you for this fun video. I enjoy how this channel goes into the historical details!!! 💟☮️i miss these snacks!!!!!!
Always ate through the box of Space Food Sticks. I can still remember what they were like to eat. Never cared for the Marathon Bar... too chewy that stuck to my teeth. Loved Freshen-up Gum... that liquid center was a great strong flavor burst. Liked Wacky Wafers.. but not as much as the Giant Sweet -Tarts (which were my favorite candy growing up- but disappeared- I think for being a choking hazard, though I never had a problem with that). Never tried PBMax, Danish Go-Rounds, Choco-diles, Fizzies, Pizza Spins, Choc-aid, Boppers, Amazin-raison, Bonkers, Giggles cookies, Whistles, Crazy Cow cereal. Didn't like the paper on the cigarette candy (could never get all the paper off)... but had fun pretending to smoke like the grown-ups. Sugar Daddy/Babies were so sticky and chewy to eat (my mom loved them). Koogle-was not a fan of the mix of flavors (but brother liked it). Yellow Zonkers were okay.
I remember having candy cigarettes in the early 80’s. I always thought they had been discontinued, but they are still available in specialty candy stores.
I remember Screaming Yellow Zookers and Marathon bars, but the one that I remember the most was the PB cany bar. I used to get those at the gas station that I used to stop at in the '80. But I also remember the Stace Food Sticks and thought that they were quite good, but hay, what do I know? See I'm a baby boomer and remember when man walked on the moon.
I agree, I used to get those at the gas station that I went to in the 80's. Ya, PB Max was still on the shelfs in the 80's. But this is during the mid 80's when I drove a 1964 Dodge Dart.

Crazy Cow strawberry cereal was very good. I ate it frequently. And Koogle peanut butter was my very favorite. I devoured the cinnamon & vanilla flavors all throughout high school (1977- 1981). I practically cried when it was discontinued. 😢😢
I remember those Sugar Mama candy sticks. We used to stretch them so long before they would finally snap and that’s how we managed to get a bite. They were so sticky! I grew up in the 80’s but I remember some of the 70’s snacks. I love these videos!
We had fun with our treats in the 70s. Life was so very different then and through the 80s. I wish I could go back and stay there. (But if I went back and stayed, I wouldn't have my daughter.)
On max came out in 1989. Far off the 70’s. Peanut butter boppers also mid 80’s as well as bonkers candy 1984. Giggles 1986. Yellow zonkers pre date the 1970’s
Space Food Sticks tasted AWFUL; but we felt so global eating them. And we used to call Freshen Up, Come Gum. Well, it was the sexual revolution. Danish Go Rounds were Nasty. And candy cigarettes were simply the greatest. I could use a pack today.
The only problem I had with danish-go-rounds was that they broke into pieces. Eventually, the brilliant marketing of Space sticks couldn't override the actual flavor.
Interesting/informative/entertaining. Vagely remember ( 15 ) cent candy bars-???🤔. Engaged in (3) pleasurable🤗 " Trunk or Treat " festivities over the (10-25-24) Halloween weekend. Handed out sweets of this era (
PB Max bars must have had a re-release then, because I distinctly remember buying them from Perry Drugs on breaks from my summer job in high school back in 1991. Loved them! Also, the Freshen Up gum went away, but I remember A&W Root Beer-flavored gum that had the gel in the middle during the mid to late '80s.
The only ones I ever tried were Marathon Bars. They were not as great a deal as made out to be. Sure they were 8 inches long and an inch wide, but they were only about 1/8 of an inch thick and they had holes in them. The whole bar was only a bit over 1 oz. Probably about one-third the weight of most candy bars. Taste was okay, but not great.
0:20 Tell me about it, as far as I’m concerned, life ended when Cadbury stopped making Bar Six. Yes Kit Kat is close but it’s just not the same,……I want my Bar Six back!
Does anyone remember these tiny kernel looking things that had a few different flavors called Snack & Wheat they was way back in the days my Junior High School had them in the ASB

@@Jmmoffa we loved them as kids in the 60s

spacefood sticks were awesome -- like a healthy 'Tiger's Milk Bar' & a 'Tootsie Roll' combined : D
They need to bring back PBMax! I miss that candy bar 🍫
I want to eat it now! 😅
@@TD75 Right! They were soooo good!!
When did fruit roll-ups come out? 1980’s?
@@dougsnyder8963 I first had them in 1982. The apple flavor was my favorite. There were Fruit Wrinkles too. They were pretty righteous 🤘

Strawberry Crazy Cow cereal was my favorite cereal when I was a kid. I ate it every chance I got. 😁

I miss Danish-Go Rounds the most
I would buy them. So much better than a pop-tart.
They should bring back the Marathon Bar!
Anybody remember recess peanut butter cups with chopped peanuts on top ? Probably early 80's .
i loveid the marathon bar!!
I loved the space-food sticks! They were so good. Caramel was my favorite!
I was just telling my daughter about “Marathon” bars last weekend! They were my favorite! So good to see one again!
I used to love choco-diles🤗🤗
Fruit flavor Freshen-Up gum? Chocolate candy cigarettes? Chocolate bandages? The 70's certainly were interesting times for kids. 😁

I form the 90's i have never heard of candy smokes they never have that now oh the 70's 😂😂😂
I really miss Marathon Bars!
Space Food Sticks, grape Tang, Screaming Yellow Zonkers, Walnettos. I think Fizzies, Bugles and candy cigarettes were around in the 60s.

Crocodiles were so,good
Wish they still had oizza soins.
Is it any wonder we were happier than subsequent generations?
I loved sky bars…4 different fillings coated with chocolate!
Choc Aid was weird. But we liked them.
I wish these snack foods could make a comeback

No wonder cancer is rampant. Used to be, only once in a while a random person had it...

Marathon and pb max were the best, especially frozen.

@@jeremytheloner yeah, I remember seeing these in the 90s as well.
@@jeremytheloner they messed that one up. Wikipedia says they didn’t even drop until 89/90
If TWIGS aren't on this list (Sesame or Cheddar!!) then nope!!!
Dang i missed out on Pizza Spins! 😅 but i do love Pizza Combos😊
I wonder what snacks now will look like in 50 years?
yeah that's an interesting thought
I miss Sara Lee banana cake
❤❤❤❤❤
Chipsters were great.
PB Max started in the 80's, not the 70's....like....they were nowhere NEAR the 70s.
Wacky Wafers resemble twice the circumference as quarters. The taste is unlike of the ones for the Eucharist.

For gum, I loved Juicy Fruit

Where can I find these products today??!!!!
I think you're off on the dates for PB Max.
Whistles weren't cookies. They were cheese flavored.
Anyone remember Choco lite bars
A lot of these are from the 80s..
2:01 that's a Curly-Wurly haha, they're still around! Marathon was a knockoff of it apparently.
Curly Wurlys were soft and impotent.
Apparently PB max has real peanut butter, I wonder how bad fake peanut butter must taste?
Crocodiles should have been called chwinkies!
WIGWAG...CANADIAN MARATHON BAR
i thought some of these dates seemed off
Spangles
Crazy Cow? How good was that stuff? aaking for a cereal connoisseur
Fizzies sucked they tasted like flavored Alka-Seltzer I didn't like them then and I still don't like them now
Pop tarts were around long before Danish go Rounds.
