Exactly. They want it shoved into public schools while private schools are available. The republicans would love nothing more than all institutions of learning to be privatized, capitalized, for profit, and indoctrination centers for their party and to promote their dominance in the economy, land ownership, and wealth, while everybody else is enslaved or submitted to them. That is the entire point of organized religion and churches as well. In essence it is Multi Level Marketing. It only leads us back to the Spanish Inquisition and the dark ages.

How can the democrat party say that it defends & protects our Constitution when it is the democrat party that has long attacked the 2nd amendment to the constitution & now today the party has called for legislation to pack the supreme courts, abolish the rule of law regarding due process under the law that allows equal representation and counsel. They call for censorship fearing that people can't find out what the truth really is. 1st amendment trashed by democrat desire for control.
Votes have consequences and Biden inflation is just 1 small part of your vote for destruction.
By design Joe Biden has allowed 5 million illegal immigrants into the country. Its isn't accidental.
He told us he cut the deficit but all that really happened was that the Covid relief program had closed & that debt could no longer be counted in the financial reports. He didn't raise taxes to pay for the 3 trillion dollars he spent that added to our national debt. He ordered the treasury to print 3 trillion dollars of new money and that move caused some of the inflation to be passed down so quickly.

I strongly agree. As a person, who ponders religious philosophy, I believe that the variety of traits and behaviors in humanity have been good, as whole for the advancement of humanity. This includes what some call 'gender variants'. Even so called primitive cultures have recognized different types of them as having different talents, and thus able to find ways to benefit the community as a whole. Ans this fits in with certain teaching of Jesus, of how we should 'love and treat, one another'.

I have been a born again Christian for almost 50 years. I am TOTALLY against what these bills are trying to do. There are so many people in power who want to shove their agenda down children's throats. School should be for opening children's minds and encouraging them to be lifelong learners. They should be taught how to think for themselves, by giving them the tools to discern the truth and reject lies. I think a lot of the "conservative" laws are being pushed out of fear, by old, white men who are beginning to realize that they will soon be obsolete in our society. @@kyleisaacson The power of belief has a long history of being able to make notable changes to the world. The problem is that people think that power comes from a god and not from ourselves. If it came from a god, you wouldn't see faith-based miracles in every religion. I actually have a science-based explanation for faith-based miracles based on quantum mechanics, the essence of consciousness, and the multiverse that explains faith based miracles but it would take too long to fully explain detail - but essentially, if all possibilities exist simultaneously until they are viewed (ie, experienced by moving forward in time), then prayer and belief is simply aligning ourselves with the reality where the thing we want actually occurs. It's not a god that does it, but a strong belief that a god could make it happen could be strong enough to attract that reality if it's possible. That's why every faith has examples of this - it's the strength of your belief, not the person you're asking. Furthermore, this same idea would also explain the placebo effect - there is a power in truly believing something, but that power comes from us, not a god.

Christianity has been the bane of my existence since I was 15. I came out as trans to my mom and step dad. They sent me to a Christian summer camp to "fix" me. The counselors were allowed to hit you with a paddle if it was determined you were not engaging into the bible studies or prayers or just about anything. They shaved my head on the first day there and forced all boys to wear suits and ties and all girls to wear ankle length dresses. We had no privacy from the staff whatsoever the whole time, even in the showers a staff member would stand there and monitor us. The summer I spent there traumatized me for years afterward. 3 months after I turned 18 I moved out of my moms house and my grandfather accepted me into his. Now I'm 32 years old, I only talk to my mom a couple of times a year, usually when I see her at family gatherings. She has no respect for me, even after I was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020. She believes that is her God's punishment to me for being trans. Luckily I my best friend and his family are super accepting and have basically taken me in as another daughter. I now share an apartment with my friend and his mom and sister live in our town and his other sister lives 30 minutes away. Last night was mother's day and we also celebrated his mom's birthday at the same time. I just want to say it feels wonderful to be a part of a loving family that cares for each other. And the funny part is, my friends mom lives a pretty strict catholic life but as she says, God made us all different so we can learn to accept each other just as we are. She calls me her daughter, uses my correct name and pronouns.

I'm not religious at all and I've never been, but if I were I wouldn't want to worship a god who told me to shun my own family. It wouldn't be worthy of my worship and adoration. Any god worth its salt would make your mother see you as a person worthy of love, regardless of your gender identity. By the way, I think it's bold of them to take a chance that their god approves of their actions. What if your mother's god became angry with her for not accepting you as you are? Not all of the founding fathers of our written constitution were devout believers in God & Jesus Christ as a few were openly against organized religion all together. Check that out.
Now the history of what democrats today are calling = Gun Violence & mass shootings.
Not a single mass shooting or school shooting has been committed by any NRA affiliated member to date since records have been recorded.
A very small percentage of the mass shootings have been committed by mentally ill conservative individuals. But the vast majority of these mass shootings have been committed by liberal democrat mentally ill individuals that snap and take the lives of innocent people because they quit caring about their own life, so they care not about other lives.
The Southern Democrat party went to war so it could expand slavery into the western states of Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado. They refused to pay their states taxes on the war of 1776 against the British.
After losing the Civil War the Southern Democrat States imposed Black Laws on all black free citizens so they could not own guns of any kind. Those anti gun laws were the start of democrat's gun rights battles to deny that 2nd amendment right to self-protection. It was passed the day after the war officially came to an end with surrender documents signed. 1 day after the war ended & the blacks were now free people no longer slaves. Look it up.
Every single past President of the USA that has been murdered in office was assassinated by a liberal angry democrat voter. Research this fact to find the truth is as I say.

Yes, decades. One of the proponents of unification of church and state is Alliance Defending Freedom (behind the Mifepristone ban by the Texas federal judge, and behind the recent Texas bill about the 10 Commandments in every classroom). Besides the ADF, there are numerous "ministries" like Focus on the Family and others, working for this. And there's ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council, active in every state legislature, writing bills and having their Republican minions introduce and pass the "morality" legislation.
Here in Arizona, we've got ALEC and CAP ("Center for Arizona Policy promotes and defends the foundational values of life, marriage and family, and religious freedom") openly working hand in glove. That CAP mission statement is a lie, because they promote anti-LGBT, anti-women's health, and have passed a school voucher program (taxpayer monies) that can be used for religious schools.

It amazes me that this country was based on freedom of religion. That was one of the "baits" the founders used to bring people out here to start America. They even put it in the Constitution. Thank God for that! I can choose to be religious or not, THIS IS AMERICA! I have always been proud of being American, my father instilled that in me. THIS is the closest thing to losing that as I have ever come.

Actually, the United States wasn't founded on freedom of religion. Yes, some groups csme over here to practice their religious beliefs, but for some came over here because THEY could not stand thr fact people disagreed with them
The U.S. was founded because colonists did not, want to obey British law and not be able to vote on those laws.
Some of the signers of the Constitusion were deists. They believed there was GOD, but they didn't believe the BIBLE was an instruction book of Godliness.

    • @bogusmcbogus2637
      @bogusmcbogus2637 ปีที่แล้ว

it wasn't the pandemic honestly. When the GOP and evangelicals made a devil's pact in the 1980s under Reagan, that was the start of the insanity. First, they got to hate on gays and ignore AIDS because that was "gay's cancer". Then the GOP had simmering insanity through the 90s during Clinton and became extremely "holier than thou" when Clinton got his knob waxed. Also this was when FOX propaganda really gained steam. Then it went first level insane after 9/11, then second level insane when a black man became POTUS. Then Trump, the ultimate narcissist Baby Boomer, became president and reflected who they really are, so their insanity became complete. And that, my friend, is a history of America -- or at least the only America I've ever known.
