    Jon, I must say thank you for your videos. My jets are nowhere near the level yours are but after watching a video yesterday I changed my setup on my HKing F16 50mm EDF to memic the way you set yours up. Which is with full deflection and radio settings to full throw and high expo and I had such great control over the plane I was floored. Again thank you so much for your exceptional vids brother. Keep up the great work I've learned a ton form your vids.

    Thank you for bringing me (35yrs of RC flying just about everything in existence) to a new level of 5th gen fighter jet manoeuvres! I just bought the FW 64mm F-22 v2 to practice with instead of my expensive 90mm models. Looking for a setup somewhere between this big F-22 and the 64mm Eflite F-35. Maybe you could do a complete tutorial on the small F-22? This would help entry-level pilots a lot to have fun on a small budget.

    I had experienced that trim issue. Im running the spektrum 10 channel and have it set up like yours. When i trimmed level for slower flight would roll right when i would speed up. I found the "balancing" the wing ailerons to the elevons corrected the problem. I used my digital pitch gauge and made sure the flaps and aileros where equal in angle with the bottom of the wing with the plane on its back. I had the roll trim switch only on elevons and trimmed for level flight again. It had improved it alot the first flight and i had to make small subtrim adjustments to the wing aileron a couple times and send it back up and trim elevons for level flight until it didnt have that, what i called, speed roll. Is still get a little back and forth aileron like trim issue, but i think it has to do more with how the wings droop down a little making it more sensitive to a little play in the servo or control horns. Nature of the beast i guess. Im in my second f22 and it was the exact same oddity.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've got it mostly dialed in at this point, off camera. But we'll see how it performs with the new Hitec servo upgrades on the wings. I'm betting some of it is slop from poor stock servos.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It'll depend on what you're looking for in a jet. The F/A-18 is more agile than the F-22 but has a more restricted flight envelope. High alpha isn't going to be something you do with the F/A-18 - inverted is out of the question entirely. It's a more difficult airframe to fly than the F-22 but can be incredibly rewarding.

      @@TwoBrosRC so what's your favorite all around performance jet from freewing. Honestly I thought the f22 would be a tad better. Lacking on power using 1900kv 6s. So I'm going to a 8s upgraded fan that's not freewing. For the money these costs they need to find a better solution for power. I will only be buying arf versions now so I can install my own power. Still can't find a jet that beats su 35. Dude you would shred that jet.

    I’m surprised you prefer a CG of about 150mm back from the leading edge root. That’s what the manual recommends and I find it a little nose heavy. It’s difficult to get that slow approach with a little bit of alpha with the manual’s CG. I’ve been trying about 160mm back.

    Hello guys! I like your videos, but I have some suggestions (as you mentioned you are losing some views). Everyone wants to fly as amazing as you guys do, you are really great demonstrating it with the radio sticks overlay. What would be amazing is to see you guys setting up the planes in the workbench: trims, mixers, cg etc… you would the process of “flying amazing” end to end. You can even create series of videos covering the same airplane from the inception until the most advance flight stints… Keep up the great work 👍🏼👌🏼

    Hopefully you wil see this comment since this is an older video., But, I figure if anyone can figure this problem out its got to be you!.. I have the FW 90mm F-22, the issue I am having is when I first plug the battery in all the gears work correctly, but when the nose gear is retracted, and I go to drop the gear, the Nose gear starts down before the gear door is open. I have checked all my connections, I have tried by-passing the blue box I have replaced the blue box, i have literally tried everything I could think of. I called MotionRC to see if they had come across that problem but they couldnt help.
    If I disconnect the battery while the gear is up it will work properly, but of course its unrealistic to disconnect the battery in flight. Something is messing up the sequencing. So again, 1. when battery is connected and gear is dropped, the door opens first as it should, 2. then when the gear is retracted, it functions correctly, but then 3. when I go to cycle the gear again to drop down, the nose gear starts down first and forces open the gear doors. Hope you can solve this thank you

      That's an odd take considering the F-22 is considered one of the most aerobatic full scale fighters out there. There's very little of what was done here that it can't do, so most of this would be considered scale flying - there's more to "scale" than just flying in circles.
