Pretty nice landings all things like wind considered, I did noticed on my Spektrum RX jets that I like the as3x better than safe for landing, i don’t fly them in safe mode it’s fighting me all the time but I did try landing them with safe as a lot of guys here like that but I do feel it’s fighting me more than anything I also don’t fly any prop plane with stabilization of any sort, jets seems to like as3x on a windy day but other than that I think safe is probably good only for take off or if you loose sight of the bird on a sunny day or very cloudy day to give you a chance to turn it down towards you, that’s my experience

Very nice! I added lights to mine. Great little plane, the lights really help with visibility for me. Doubt I will add an afterburner as it's already crowded in the plane.
You need to tune the AS3X gains with SAFE turned off. Apparently, you were in SAFE mode when it was rocking. When you picked it up, the surfaces deflected like it was in SAFE mode. I would turn the SAFE roll gain down to 25 or 20 and raise the SAFE pitch gain to 45 or 50. I usually set the AS3X gains to 30, 40, and 50 percent for roll, pitch, and yaw with the gain sensitivity set to 1X, but with the new AS3X+ firmware, I'm having to set the sensitivity to 0.5X. Also, you might need to set the Stop Lock gains to 100 before setting the AS3X gains. Once the AS3X gains are set, go back and start lowering the Stop Lock gains by 10% each flight.
@@TheRCAviator I'm fairly confident that I already have it worked out I just don't have a fly day for a while as soon as I do I will update It was set to 4x because that is what I standard do in AS3X now with AS3X Plus turning the knob all the way down does not turn S3X all the way off You have to use a switch to do so so I don't really like that I prefer to use the knob when the knob is all the way off in ES3X it's off completely and as you gain it in you roll that knob and very small increments of course in X4 and turn in your AS3X you want well now you cannot turn it completely off with that knob You have to use your switch so soon as I get a fly day I will try that first and then I will start changing the pitch and roll and so forth if that doesn't work but I'm pretty confident about the 4X thing
Congrats on your maiden flight buddy! Nice butter landings too! Looks like your gains were a bit high but who cares that’s an easy in flight fix on a roller nob. Can’t wait to try mine out!
@@Hype_RC That's the strange part that puzzles me I did have my gains assigned to the knob and even when I turn the game completely off I had the wobble I think it was a windy day and maybe the AS3X couldn't beat it It was way too windy but I was comfortable because it was down the runway (when I turn the knob all the way down it's equivalent to switching AS3X off)
@@Pooley929. Already subscribed.👍🏾. Worse case scenario if nothing changed even with gyro off. (Double check flight modes in forward programming could have left gyro on in all positions ) or worse it can happen if the tail stabs are not in alignment. Hopefully not the case. As3x plus is a bit more sensitive. I fly in wind too but, perhaps your base gains were more than zero or 1x or you can try just switching the 3 position switch to off?… I always maiden without any gyro on. Then once trimmed out I switch on gyro and fly to adjust relative gains, throttle gains and flap or gear based rates and gains. At least on jets.
@@Hype_RC Good thought but before the flight during the pre-flight I verified that the knob turned all AS3X off I will probably just do a complete reprogram of it it's not that big a deal and see if that fixes anything It is also assigned to a third position on the switch to be completely off also without use of the knob so position zero would be safe on S3 axon position 1 S3X only no safe 2 no gyro at all.
