I enjoyed your list since I feel like several of them aren’t ones I’ve heard all that much about. My first BL was We Best Love and it just has a special place in my heart. The story, particularly the conflict, has so many holes in it (particularly the second ‘season’ though it’s meant to be watched together), but I love it despite that. The chemistry, pining, and performance of particularly one of the leads is top notch. Taiwan always seems to focus on workshops and you can see the results in the leads’ chemistry.
Of your ‘To Watch’ list, Color Rush is a personal favorite. It’s definitely not for everyone but I thought it was incredibly beautiful in a sort of poetic way and touches on genres most other BLs don’t. It’s a bit stilted, but even that seems to work for it.
Others I’ve enjoyed are My Love Mix-Up that someone else mentioned. It’s Japanese and has that very specific melodramatic humor but I found it hilarious and also incredibly sweet. I don’t remember ever adoring every single character like I did for that show.
Light on Me (Korean) - set in high school and also sweet and quite realistic. Many have said that it’s a love triangle done right. I was on pins and needles till the very end and it was the first time I actually considered polyamory as perhaps the best solution because you want things to work out for everyone involved.
Semantic Error (Korean) was maybe one of the best rom-coms (?) I’ve watched and maybe the most accessible to those who are considering trying out BLs. I thought it had great writing and wonderful character development. It’s a ‘rivals to lovers’ that actually shows the process of both learning to lower their walls and come to understand the other person.

I totally understand holding something to you heart so dearly, even if you can see the flaws. We don't always control what stories resonate for us and why they do 🥺
Light On Me is one of the bls my best friend loved the most and I totally forgot to put it on the list (i think) but I definitely plan on watching it!
I'll give a shot to My Love-Mix Up as well, if the story interests me, I'm really curious to see how different things will be when set in Japan 😊
As for Color Rush, I have watched since then and didn't really enjoyed it :/ I loved the premise but the romance was too rushed for me. I enjoy watching people slowly fall for each other and form meaningful connexion without being rushed into it right away bc of plot reasons. (to be fair the shortness of the episodes didn't play in their favour and i acknowledge that)
I also watched Semantic Error last year and strongly disliked it 😭 I know how popular it's gotten, so clearly, they did something right, but yeah... It didn't really do anything for me 😔

I highly recommend this too. I wouldn’t qualify it as a BL though - more coming of age drama. But it destroyed me in the best way - so much raw emotion and great chemistry between the leads. A really close friendship irl seems to give us some great romantic pairings.
You should definitely watch A Tale of Thousand Stars (นิทานพันดาว 1000stars) it's super slow burn, enemies to lovers, and it's all up on youtube with English subs. The ending had me bawling.
I hesitated bc it seemed too sad 😭 But maybe I'll get around to watching it someday. I do like the actors in it a lot after all 😔✊🏻
Watched nearly all of these shows (haven’t watched FUTS yet). My top 10 would be different but always love hearing people sharing what they enjoy about the media they consume, and what impacts them the most.
Have you seen Never Let Me Go yet? Mork from FUTS is in that. Others that I would recommend: Takara-Kun to Amagi-Kun; My Love Mix-Up; And Kabe Koji desires to be Recognised.
I have watched Never Let Me Go! It's part of the few bls that nearly made it to the list, but sadly, I strongly disliked the last arc of the story 😭 To the point where I was really frustrated so I couldn't put it in my top ten 😔 Idk the other bls you mentionned so I'll definitely check them out to see if I might be into them :O

maybe u know the series "tomorrow is ours" it's french one btw. there are characters rayane and jack, they're not the main characters, but their story is so interesting. and now many people in twitter watch their relationship develop.
I know of it but I usually stay away from shows like this, bc as a native french speaker... I can tell when the acting is not good and it totally pushes me out of the story 😔 I'm really sorry :/

Most of these are also in my top 10, especially moonlight chicken, bad buddy, not me and my school president 😭😭 may I suggest you add the eclipse in your list if you haven't already seen it? Also did you know the girls from bad buddy (milk and love) are having a gl this year?
I have watched The Eclipse and sadly didn't like it 😭 I like the themes and the actors but strongly disliked the pacing and execution 😔 YES I KNOW AND I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT 🥺💕

@@lovemyshelf Since Krist has publicly apologized for his words and has been more mature since then, I was ready to give him another chance. Of course I won't make you watch it if you feel bad, but I just couldn't wait for that answer because you watched KinnPorsche anyway and even recommended it, even though the writers of the book molested the actors, including Barcode, who was 17 at the time.
