@@ClaireJ4 Exactly. I could not make it past 1st episode, so I dropped it. And trust me, I am a huge Kim Da Mi fan, she was amazing in Itaewon Class, and she looked really beautiful in this one but the story and pacing was a no for me so I stopped watching it.

I’m 14/15 and Reply 1988 is my top list drama. The drama is not only about romance, it’s also about family and life. A very heartwarming and memorable drama for me.

I remember watching CLOY when it first aired and I was ADDICTED. I still get goosebumps till this very day whenever someone mentions they’ve watched or are watching it. @@simp_sukuna5528 Yeah, his narcissism at first gets on your nerves. But it’s kind of a beauty and the beast style love story and very worth finishing. Plus Park Seo Joon is a great kisser (compared to some of the stuffs in these dramas).

Kill Me Heal Me was such a hit then. It's one of my all-time favorites. Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum had excellent chemistry.

Hi. Watching from Liverpool England. I stumbled across Korean Dramas during covid lockdown. 1st one I watched was Empress Ki. I've been hooked ever since. On this playlist I particularly enjoyed Crash Landing On You, Its Ok Not to be ok and Homeland ChaChaCha. However, There's so many dramas and different genres to choose from that anyone would be hard pushed not to find something to enjoy. Excellent entertainment.

It's more focused on dealing with trauma because of how non-stereotypical the characters are. It makes me cry only thinking about the scene where Sang-Tae feeds Mun-Young while she cries asking him for forgiveness. The romance part is good, but it's not the central focus. Still it's easily in top 5 kdramas out there.
🇨🇦 Mr Sunshine was my first K-Drama and I fell in love with LBH. Gobelin, It's OK not to be OK, Red sleeve and you forgot Rain or Shine with Junho. I'm starting to learn korean and I'm french speeking from Québec, Canada.
Yoo Seung Ho and Chae Soo Bin had phenomenal chemistry together.
Reply 1988 would’ve been top of my list if deok-son and Jung-pal ended up together but it’s 2nd because of how much I loved the cast and the togetherness of the show. CLOY is number 1

The description for Mr. Sunshine is not wrong, but that's not entirely it. There's more to it than you think and it's a really heart wrenching drama that would make you feel empty once you finish it. The cast, cinematography, story-line, settings, camera works are all it, it's perfect and a masterpiece. It also includes comic relief, which is a good thing because the drama is a damn heavy one. Prepare mentally, it's also kind of history-based, so you'll see scenes that are similar with the existing photos from the Korean Independence Commoners. I used to think before watching because I was overwhelmed with the number of episodes, but one day I really had nothing to watch and decided to give it a go and there were no regrets, except I was not able to prepare mentally. The acting was also superb to add to all that.
Mr. Sunshine is a full package, watch it if you're thinking twice or unsure. 10000/10

Nothing comes close in terms of portrayal of the characters and hardships and how they overcome it..Choi Yu-jin had me in tears from 1st episode to the last one..man..what a journey..never had teary eyes after Naruto..

This is not a series you watch for lighthearted escapism. It is the full wedding banquet meal, not a fast food snack. If you gird your heart, your senses will be deeply rewarded. It is a story of enduring love against the backdrop of Korea's historical march out of colonialism and the pain and sacrifices all the characters had to pay.
The writing is outstanding ... each character is fully dimensional and nuanced. The cinematography is voluptuously gorgeous. A deeply emotional series that is searing in its intelligence.
Kim Tae Ri is beautiful. But not in that famous SKorean template of ideal beauty aided by surgical embellishment. The assembly-line-cookie-
cutter way of many. Her character is strong, complex, independent, and KTR makes it totally believably that all three leading men would be in love with her.
Lee Byung Hun is incomparable. Dashingly handsome in his US marine officer uniform, the pain and loneliness he carries with him from childhood emanates from his military bearing.
All this and not even one kiss. And yet I watched the series to its inevitable ending - all 24 episodes - without skipping.
Admiration and respect.

I must admit, in most of these dramas I had to fast forward some parts except for Our Beloved Summer... funny how a slow-burn romantic slice-of-life drama made me watch and invest in all the eps.
I guess it's the simple premise with detailed storytelling that got me hooked to this drama.. the parallels...the voices of the actors when narrating their thoughts still translate the right emotions... I can go on and on.... It's.such a breath of fresh air for all the kdramatics I've watched so far.
Choi Woo Shik is definitely on my list of brilliant actors out there... the layers of emotions, the control....he made me feel a guy's pain. Just wow!
