@tyrone kinard Shang Tsung is human by origin if I'm not mistaken. So regardless if it were Fujin or Raiden job to protect Earthrealm Liu Kang's death would've still happened. The rule of Gods not intervening in Mortal Affairs applies to all gods not just Fujin. And who's to say Fujin couldn't hold his own against Shang Tsung and Quan Chi? Raiden didn't have to give up his Elder God status he chose to which tells he didn't fully trust Fujin in the first place if you ask me.
I have no Idea. The only thing I can say is "plotholes". Deadly Alliance was the perfect opportunity to showcase Fujin as a capable protector but Nope had tomake room for Hsu Hao.

@@tovolume yeah it was leaked from the game files of mk 11 on the switch version and was confirmed by many sources to be legit.
Even worse, it would make so much more sense if they had Raiden and Fujin as equals displayed more often, given that they are based on a duo of Japanese deities that represent thunder and wind and usually appear together. So... yeah, a lot of potential remains unutilized.
He was my main in mk4...
Fujin, Reiko, Rain, and Kai are four of the most wasted and underutilized characters in Mortal Kombat.
The thing that gets me, is that Rain has a huge following, so why they keep doing the boy dirty? He's an edenian prince, so much potential.

It would also make since to have Kai and Fujin since Raiden went dark and Liu Kang is a revenant now. Let them take their place as Earth realm defenders.

Cetrion merge with Kronika to defeat Liu Kang. But failed to defeat Liu Liu and met their end.. So Fujin might be back in the new Timeline.

Oh,Fujin has a lot of potential,idk why he doesnt have a much bigger presence in the franchise.
Originally Sindel was meant to be in MK4 but the creators at the last minute scrapped her from making an appearance and they created Fujin to replace her which why his fatality of him using the wind to peel the skin off the opponents body is similar to Sindel's MK3 fatality when she does her scream that sends the skin off the opponents body.

I am very excited to see Fujin return. Characters from MK4-MK6 need redemption and revamps that I would prefer over special guest appearances being so heavy.

Fujin was one of my favorite charcters in MK4. I never understood why they never did anything with him. He had a unique skillset, cool moves, great design. It just seems a ton of the story would make more sense if they kept him around.

I feel like MK characters are too many to manage. It may be quite difficult to fit in a character into a story. Lets just hope they make a great use of Fujin in future, he is just too powerful to be left out so often.
Management at the time was very high on Fujin. But he unfortunately broke the company's wellness policy. We had to suspend him for 2 games. As the violation was his second offense. His push was cut short soon after.
Tbh Fujin has gone awol since mk4/Armageddon. We need him Back NRS. Also that music playing half way through was from Alien Trilogy first level. Btw like Vid.

In the fighting dialogue between Raiden and Frost in MK11, Frost says that she froze Fujjn for Cetreon, also a fighting dialogue between Raiden and Cetreon, cetreon says that Fujin took his final breath.

I think Fujin is going to be DLC in MK11. There are even small parts where Kronika and Frost talk about him and smoke. Fujin is stuck inside a ice glacier where he got frozen by Frost and Smoke is still stuck in the Neather Realm, either dead or a revenant.

It would've been better for Fujin to appear during Deadly Aliance. His storyline could be about him failing to protect Earthrealm by letting Liu Kang die and being unable to defeat the Deadly Alliance. In the final battle with Quan-Chi and Shang Tsung, Raiden can appear to help Fujin, but are interrupted by Onaga. Before Raiden begins to charge his energy blast, he teleports Fujin out of the fortress to save his life. When the temple explodes, Fujin is left alive. Since he is still there, he can help the remaining heroes defeat Onaga.
I remember I felt worst and even throw the fucking cd after the release of mk11 😭 but now I'm happy because Fujin finally came back
