I always thought Baraka’s MK4 ending was stupid but for different reasons. Quan Chi now possesses the power, but what exactly does he intend on doing with it? Is he really going to sit on the throne and look at his hands for all eternity?
I hated Li Mei's MKDA ending as well, but for a couple of reasons. 1. She was written to be the Next Big Protege from Bo Rai Cho since Liu Kang and Kung Lao, and they made her go out like that. 2. Her Deadly Alliance ending was canon. When you read her bios in Deception It says that she was in the process of getting her soul transferred into the mummy, and Raiden stop it from being completed, (Which cues to Deception's opening cutscene) and that even though her soul remained in her body, she felt traces of the mummy's spirit within her. BAD way to invest in a New Character especially if you're trying to have folks accept her and main her.
And now she’s just a background character- segmented she won’t be returning to the roster soon unless they make a way to replace her with the same move sets as her.
Cassie Cage was the Roman Reigns of MK in MKX. NRS gotta make her look strong. She was fed with Sindel (a character who killed almost the entire MK heroes), Shinnok (Corrupted Shinnok mind you), and Shujinko (a guy who knows almost every major MK fighting techniques).

Actually, in the original timeline Moloch and Drahmin were established as being extremely powerful high ranking Oni. Even Quan Chi was leery of them. They were both said to be very hard to stop or even slow down due to them both having accelerated healing.(even outside of the Nether Realm) Drahmin could spawn swarms of flies out of thin air to distract and attack his foes. Moloch had some degree of control over gravity(at least in the area directly surrounding him) Only in the new timeline over at Warner Bros did they become "bottom tier jobbers" but that's due to the inherent shitty writing of the Warner Bros era of MK games, not the characters themselves.
i'm quite confident that i'm not the only one who still has appreciation for the earlier 3d mk games and can see many of the characters have potential to be built up into more rounded and refined characters and many previous mk game modes being brought back with improvements and additional extended replayability in future mk games. For example fan favorite modes such as tag team mode,kreate a kharacter mode and konquest mode etc.. and some fan favorite kharacters such as Havik,Drahmin,Rain, Moloch etc..Netherrealm should do it as a fan service and perhaps they may gain a new found respect and appreciation for these modes and characters as fans do.
The developers were too lazy to model a new chair, location and helmet so that's why the scene just awkwardly stops with the portal. Most of the N64 endings are worse than their CG counterparts, but Reiko got hit the hardest.

And he was just a kid too not a teen a kid being trained by bo rai cho. Who wouldn't make the trade for an elder god. Plus his entire idea is that he copys people's fighting styles and there was already a bunch of monk characters so...
When i got this ending and Baraka said "how will we rule a realm with no one in it" it opened my eyes i conquers and wanting to be the king of the world and all that. Only an bland evil person would actually want to RULE the world bc it would just bring everything to ruin kindof like molochs ending

Killer Instinct 2 determined your character's ending based on your actions in game, usually it depended on who you killed. But in MK Li Mei could have done a fatality on both Quan Chi and Shang Tsung yet you still get the same ending anyway.

Killer Instinct 2 determined your character's ending based on your actions in game, usually it depended on who you killed. But in MK Li Mei could have done a fatality on both Quan Chi and Shang Tsung yet you still get the same ending anyway.

I personally enjoy all the mk games at face value for various reasons regardless of others opinions.
Jarek deserves some god damn respect he survives the fall by snagging branches on the side of the mountain but eventually takes a fall that shatters most of his leg bones and is later found by Quan Chi who restores the damage in exchange for his service.....I don't know how Sonya survives the fall as she is playable in Deadly Alliance and somehow makes it to Armageddon.....but seriously Jarek needs some respect
