My father and I just saw this performance in the cinema....I dont remember having cried so much over music because the singing was that good. An unforgettable experience!

I hope people realize that what you're seeing is a complete gift to this precious art form. Nadine is an artist for the history books. Legato, elegance and control, never sacrificing a moment of expression. This is also a human being who is utterly fantastic at their job, so consistent. Take note, non-opera people. Please bring Nadine Sierra to the Met every season. Americans need to hear artists like this as much as possible, it raises the level of company.

I was blessed to watch this production of La Traviata Live at the Met last night. A stunning stage performance. The climax of this scene with Nadine and Luca Salsi in the second act was heart-rending! A lavish and outstanding performance, congratulations and warmest thanks to all involved.

Praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality, Nadine Sierra is being hailed as one of the most promising, young talents in opera today. She was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. Having made a string of successful debuts at the Met, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.

This dress rehearsal is good, but during the first performance on Oct 25th , the conductor went too fast here. Let her sing it out! This is one of the most tender moments in this opera, it can go a little slower. Singing goes first, orchestra follows.

Nadine is superb, no doubt, but Germont is a bit too harsh when he sings ‘piangi” to my taste. I miss the softness and intimate tenderness of Thomas Hampson as Germont
