Islam didnt come by force in West Africa, they tried but we didn't let them😂. The Wagadu empire defeated the umayad caliphate and were converted the survivors. For the most part it came through trade but the moment we became weak we were ended by an Islamic empire (Songhai empire getting defeated by Morocco)
