Pilot, CFI, weather specialist, articulate, and comes across honestly and passionately in front of a camera. Your combined skill sets are impressive. Please keep posting flying related videos. There is so much aviation junk on TH-cam, and so few quality videos with someone you really want to listen to and learn from. You're dong a great job. Please keep it up. Don't be afraid to show us details of your environment such as aircraft maintenance, ag decision making, whatever.
Just subscribed and following you on TicToc. Emily, your aviation career story is so cool & inspiring. I wanted to share my Mom was a Pilot & Aviation Pioneer all through the 1960’s in San Diego County. She was a long time member of the Ninety-Nines (99’s) and flew in many of AWTAR - All-Woman Transcontinental Air Races (Powder Puff Derby’s) Coast to Coast, Both Ways as a Solo Pilot and sometimes with a co-pilot. One of her favorite aircraft’s for the races was a Piper Cherokee 235. Sometimes she wore Native American Buckskin Outfits complete with Feathers & Beads for Newspaper Photo Ops. She had her Commercial and Twin Ratings and flew out of Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, CA where my folks owned a Piper / Cessna Dealership with a Flight School. (Dad was a WW II Ace flying P-38’ in Europe) As kids our family flew wherever we went, it was just natural and a way of life for us. We would all fly on vacations, to deliver an aircraft, pick one up or simply fly to lunch or dinner somewhere when my Mom needed hours. We were Airport Brats and understandably, spent alot of time at Palomar Airport. I worked for my folks there before I could drive, (ironically) driving a Texaco Gas Truck-fueling planes for customer, preparing airplanes for FAA Inspections, (detailing) washing / waxing planes (& cleanout ashtrays, so many smokers back then), digging tie-downs, sweeping hangers & more. Coming back from a business flight, my Mom would sometimes buzz our Elementary School, dipping her wings to say “Hi !” Everyone at our school would love this! And sometimes, my Mom would buzz our house the same way and if it was after we got home from school, we knew we would have about an hour to hurry and do the chores we were supposed to do before she got home! I’m enjoying your TH-cam & TicToc! Here’s to you continuing “Flying The Friendly Skies”‼️❤️😊
That is so cool, and I appreciate you sharing!! It kind of gave me chills at the end, I flew the Air Race Classic (remnant of the Powder Puff Derby) a few years back and my team name was "The Friendly Fliers". Your mom and dad sound like amazing aviators who helped pave the skies for future pilots. Outstanding!!
Got my private in 2005... I'm working on my CFI now. My road in aviation took a lot longer to travel due to the expensive nature of flight training. I did 5 years in the Air Force and I'm now using my G.I. Bill to fund my flight training. It's working good so far.
There is something therapeutic about watching an Ag pilot do their work and make it seem so effortless. Mile long passes inches over the crop must be heavenly
Low Level AG Flying is so much different than Airline pilots. You have to be alert and really in control of your plane the whole time. Totally a different breed of pilot! What career goals are on the horizon?

Thank you so much for the kind words! Will definitely be posting more about the day to day aspects of the industry.

Awesome! Becoming a CFI is incredibly rewarding. Scary sometimes, but it’s really cool. Best of luck!!
Hi Emily, how are you!!
How is this the demand for agricultural pilots in the United States? companies are hiring!!
Congratulations on your videos!!
Hey, I need a biannual 😅
I started as a lineman, ended up with ATP/FE/CFIIME.
Retired now; but still flying vicariously thru your posts and vids!
I appreciate you being here!

This is my goal! My husband and I own the company and we farm also. Nothing on the distant horizon but you never know what life will throw your way!
@agpilotchick it sounds like it's the type of flying you enjoy, so whenever work can be what you love, it's probably not really work at all!
