It was my first time there.
I love the sound in Frameshift, it's ralaxing.
So i decided to record this.
The original video was recorded in 1080p @60 fps. but the file itself was too large (over 31GB). I rendered it 30 FPS and lowered the bitrate but still... it took several hours
I don't use TH-cam that much and don't upload videos.

This is EXACTLY what I came to TH-cam to look for. All streaming had someone talking or music. This is perfect. Thank you so much. I absolutely love falling asleep to the ambient sound of this game.
I only waited 20 minutes, started the journey to Hutton Orbital, put my remote down, made and ate dinner, took a shower, went out to watch a movie, came back home, and 20 minutes later, I arrived at Hutton Orbital
How long was that movie?

For anybody wondering, he reaches his top speed of 1866c at 45:39 before starting deceleration.
For anybody wondering, you can start hearing the FSD decelerating sound at 45:50.
i feel like im behind the pilot, laying down across several passenger seats trying to get some rest, like the space equivalent of sleeping across the seats at the back of an empty bus. its very peaceful

I'm new to the game, wanted to visit the closest star to our sun. I was near Alpha Centauri so I decided I had to see Proxima. I jumped maybe once or twice before reaching Alpha Centauri, marked Proxima and began. A short while later I realized this would take a long while. Only after being about halfway there did I realize I might not have enough fuel, did some googling and found I could disable some systems. I changed course to Hutton, and just barely made it. I was relieved, but then saw I couldn't request docking, no contacts were found. Confused, I did some more googling and saw someone somewhere write that Hutton "has no landing pads". I decided to go to the nearest other station, got there, same thing. No contacts, then it hit me: I had turned off my systems to conserve fuel. I turned them back on, contacts were found, and immediately requested docking. Denied, for whatever fucking reason. Stupid fucking piece of shit game won't even tell me why. However, now I knew I couldn't request docking back at Hutton because of my systems, which were now on. Decided to go back. Ran out of fucking fuel at 600 km to the station. No thrust power and 5 minutes of oxygen left. Had to self destruct.
To add insult to injury, only during my mid flight googling did I realize there's fucking nothing to do or see at Hutton and I had effectively rick rolled myself. The star was pretty, though.
Garbage fucking game. Am I salty? Fuck yes I am. Will I go back to play it? Yeah, I'm bored and lonely.

Sadly I don't really play elite anymore. Mostly because I simply don't have much free time. Every now and then I put on my VR headset and play the game while being completely high XD
Run out of fuel google fuel rats they'll come save you.
Hutton orbital has medium landing pads. You didn't have systems on so you couldn't dock. Maybe you were more than 7.5km away from the other station. You need to be within 7.5 km to get docking perms. And you could get fuel rats to save you instead of self destructing.
The ending is similar to me except I rage from constant game crashes when using triple monitors and say I won't ever play again then find the solution ten minutes later and play the rest of the day. LOL
Sounds like you needed the Fuel Rats! lmao everyone should look them up if you play Elite Dangerous. They saved me a couple times when I was new.
I literally did this trip on accident I accepted a mission. I had to deliver a letter and they send me all the way out here... I was in multi-crew in my keelback with my friend talking. He lasted about 40 minutes before he got bored and left I finished the rest of the trip on my own. Nothing to look at besides the darkness of space.
I've deliberately picked up missions for Hutton Orbital before. If you get lucky and find a few around the Sol area, it can actually be reasonably lucrative for your time investment.

Amazing. Thanks so much and please make more of these types :) This video didn't have too many jumps which are loud and jarring, the flight time was realistic and the docking noises are wonderful. If you could make more like this, that would be really cool :D

I dont understand why you cant use hyperspace to get there, like what's the actual reason behind it?
Your hyperspace drive can only bring you to a star in a system with the most mass. The stars a far apart but they still orbit eachother and therefore it is the same system.

How did you get that shot in the beginning of you walking around your ship?
ctrl + alt + space enables the free camera. You can memorize it by going "ah, I get it cause it's ctrl alt delete but in space"
There's two ways to control it, one feels a bit like controlling a drone and the other is like noclipping in garry's mod or, viewing a Unity scene.
You can bind the free camera mode to any key in the options

The entry point of the system is next to the star, you cant choose where to drop out of a hypercruise

No. well it depends on how you play but usually no. This Sation is just very far away from the main star. it's more of a meme. If like combat, you'll be under pressure for the whole time.

Not at all. Hutton Orbital is a meme/prank station you send noobs to get a very big and free ship (obviously not true)
It’s notorious for its distance away from the main star. There is no other station this far away at all. Most are only 30 seconds to 3 minutes away. Doesn’t take long to travel between stations and planets at all.

If star citizen was to actually work then yes. But it doesn't. Its a buggy unfinished mess. Elite also doesn't charge $27,000 for a virtual ship :)
