      It’s not something that I would normally film but I found it very interesting. Lots more stuff that I didn’t realise resolve could do and even just using multiple timelines is something I need to do more of. Really helpful, thanks heaps!

    This is a fantastic tutorial. Key word in here. "Easy". Nothing easy about it but certainly displays the power of Davinci resolve if one can master how to use it.

    I've been struggling with Zoom videos. I have more than two speakers. I've tried speaker view, which always sucks. There is a lag before it changes to new person speaking. I given up trying to edit these, so now I record in gallery view. Now I can edit so the right person speaking is in view by simply cropping. Several of us use green screens. Prior to pandemic I had my guests show up to studio, due to the pandemic we've been doing this remotely by Zoom. When I go to green screen DaVinci does not recognize that I cropped the video and I cannot place background and person properly. The only way I've is to export this as a finished product and edit it again adding green screen and any other modifications I want. The finished product is great but way too time consuming. There must be a faster way that still comes out good ? Hoping you might address this because neither this video or last week's video address this issue.

    This is absolutely amazing. BUT... how do I colour correct after the editing it all together? I'm following my usual process, but nothing seems to be happening... Any ideas?

    Hello Alex, great channel. Big fan! I have a question, how do I cut a multicam , but I want that DV always cuts three or more audio tracks at the same time. For a large orchestra, for example, 30 Soundtracks. the sound engineer would like to have all the clips edited. So far now I can only assign one audio at a time.(Final Mix) I already tried it with Compund Clip. Do you have any idea? Or did I just overlook something. Thank you very much. Greetings from Germany. I literally used the multcam sync bin in the cut page, created numerous timelines and used my speededitor to paint the different angles.. this is so much easier and I feel dumb for the hours of work I put in to that project lol

    Mr Alex,
    Forgive me if it's been requested before, but I've gone over your videos and can't quite find what I'm looking for. How to save crops in Davinci as power bin options. Scenario: recording a 3840x1080p video (to have webcam and screen seperate). How to save crops made in Resolve after resizing the camera/screen feed to be used as a template in future videos. Thank you for your time.

    This is brilliant I was faced with this dilemma recently I couldn't get somebody into my virtual studio and we had to record in a zoom type situation. And they provided me with two separate tracks. I do have a question though please my podcast video episode is about 55 minutes long do I have to break it up For when each person is talking? Or can I apply the methodology throughout the whole track? Thank you again I will be buying you a coffee Michael Herst

  • @LucasDegen

    I've watched this over over and over again I couldn't get my head around it. That is because it got confused with the term multicam and multicam edit. The multicam timeline and wide angle timelines are duo clips. But this is the best DR tutorial i've seen using overlays and multicam editing.

    • @MrAlexTech

    Today, I was specifically looking at how to put video inside a rounded border with a drop shadow and couldn't find a perfect solution for hours.
    Many hours later I go back on TH-cam and see that your thumbnail has the exact effect I want.
    And you end up showing me that video collage is what I needed in an unrelated video! What a perfect coincidence, thanks so much!

  • @Stories10
    @Stories10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did it! Thank you! I had a problem: my interview was recorded with separate tracks for the two participants, so I could not hear the other one when I was in individual cameras. I solved it muting the multicam audio and adding a new track the wide-angle audio track. Next time I will do it with the Speed Editor, I guess will be way funnier!

    • @musasoyyo
      @musasoyyo ปีที่แล้ว

      How did it go with the Speed Editor, any tips you may have?

    • @Stories10
      @Stories10 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@musasoyyo I only use it when I have many brolls and with multicam videos, because it is really speeding up the editing. I will use it whenever I have too much to work. You need to learn how to use it and then use it. After a few hours of editing, you can get along with it and become a lot faster at editing. You still need to go and refine things in the Edit page for most projects, but the productivity gain is worth having.

  • @hinesification

    Can parts of this be done in the Cut Page with the Speed Editor to speed up the process a bit? The included Speed Editor in the Studio version has now "forced" me to: 1) to buy the Studio version; 2) learn the Cut Page; and 3) learn the Speed Editor. I don't have a bunch of multicam footage shot myself yet to play with, so this seems like maybe a fun exercise to try.

    • @MrAlexTech
      @MrAlexTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiya Kris. Generally if you want the best quality, you just have to ensure each party records themselves locally and then you just compile the videos together. Alternatively, there are apps like Welder (www.getwelder.com/) which records locally and then sends you the file.
