Hi Vicky, The system is not designed to reduce sulfur odors. A dedicated sulfur treatment system is recommended to get rid of sulfur and sulfur smells.

@@Aquasure I appreciate your reply. I tried the tool and it only tells me the hardness of the municipal water source in my area. That's pretty cool, however, my water source is Texas hill country well water. I assure you, it's several times harder than the 356 PPM the tool came back with. So the question still remains, how do I know which softener to buy?

The water softener can work with well water. However, additional pre-filtration may be needed depending on the source water.
