My family loved this movie! At the end of the movie, the whole theater clapped my family included. A perfect back to theater movie after 3 years. Thank you to all the people who did the hard work. ❣️
I love watching these interviews, such a great cast, and every time Hugh Grant does a super dry observation or Sophia Lillis deadpans, I have to laugh out loud.
My husband and I went to see this and loved it. We were laughing so hard that our sides were splitting. Not only are the details fairly accurate (I think) but with the dynamic of the group it genuinely makes you feel that this is an actual D&D campaign being played and the players playing the characters. A fantastic time for anyone who loves comedy, adventure, and fantasy all mixed into one with a loveable cast. 10/10
The D&D cartoon party cameo was the bestest Easter Egg. I kinda want an extra short film about their entering the High Sun games arena and that sequence from their perspective. And the quicksand carpet callback from the D&D 2000 film was pretty cool, too.
I think my favorite easter egg is one another channel pointed out and I completely missed. In the arena the team with the lil dwarf that gets the axe, and makes it to the cage first is actually the 1980's cartoon group in live action.
Great movie and great intercorse, thank You for bringing this moments online! About my favorite Easter egg, i am uncertain, there Is a lot. More than recognizing creatures and spells, i absolutely loved to see some more obscure, nieche Easter eggs, like, there are things not even all dnd veteran players would actually detect. I think i might choose this because Is actually very very difficult to know: the big chonky dragon. Despite being this very double role of a creature, both dangerous and very ridicolous at the same time, Is not something they came up with from nowhere, It Is actually from the lore of dnd! It Is said in older manuals that this dragon would live, as We see, in the underdark, forming like a non belligerance deal with the underdark dwarves, called Duergar, that are not seen in the movie. Very fun to see this very well researched material, bringin this really deep into the Heart of players. They really crafted a very well written story, i genuinely feel like It could be an actual, playable campaign! The travel, the plans, the adventure in this like tone of "we need to do this, in order to do that later", which Is very relatable with how many adventures go when You play the game. As a dungeon master from quite some years now, i absolutely loved this, at the point i went to see It 2 times!
I don't know how many "thumbs up" you need for this video to "have enough" for y'all to start playing D&D, but I just paused the video to jump down here and let you know you just got one more added to the tally!😊
@Alex Arais I mean the rules in Dungeons and Dragons are very much created for turn based combat... druids are known to animal form and the movie showcased that.
