    Casual drinking- thanks for calling this one out. I've had people poke fun at me or raise their eyebrows for not engaging in casual drinking. In my mind it always felt like I don't need a drink to have fun or be fun. It was nice to hear your take on it 😊

    Im turning 30 this year in February and I'm a mom of 2...I am finally starting to focus on me and my health after 12 long years of living in fight or flight mode. Since having my daughter at 18 my health has declined because of many traumatic experiences being a teen mom.
    But finally it's time for me!
    I feel like this will be a big game changer year. So ready for 2023!

    I love that you are talking about drinking. I’m so tired of everything being revolved around drinking! It’s so toxic. Don’t get me wrong here and there is fine but it feels like the world is consumed by it. Better habits in 2023!

      yeah I agree. I dont mind a glass here or there but it sometimes feels like you need to fight everyone on not wanting to drink lol

    Omg preach about the alcohol. My husband and I stopped drinking in May/June of 2020. We just decided we wanted to stop putting that into our bodies. It's so true how there's this constant pressure. In commercials, on social media. Even our family doesn't know what to do with us sometimes. They never know what to offer us. Because drinking a seltzer water is such a crazy concept 😂 and would love to see any sick care routine you do in your 30's

    SO HAPPY YOU MENTIONED CASUAL DRINKING!! Some people are downright ignorant / awful to me if I decline drinking as if I'm somehow ruining their fun or choice to drink! The culture is so toxic! Happy people are growing up now - by not drinking, I save money and feel great, been 3 years now!

  • @shuuutthefrontdoor

    Love this! Love all of these! It literally sounds like all my realizations lol I turned 30 this year and feel like there’s been such a shift in my mindset over the last few years. I would always try to read the educational books but struggle to get through them, falling asleep after 1 page. The only one I’m not doing currently is CrossFit but I used to do it, just haven’t found a gym in my new area that doesn’t feel super intimidating. One thing I’d add to this list is therapy. So beneficial to talk out what you are feeling with someone and has really helped me to be more mindful.

    • @HealthNutNutrition
      @HealthNutNutrition  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree therapy is amazing but I've learned to do it in other ways outside of the traditional sense. Guided spritual healing, hypnotherapy, meditation, movement, walking to friends, etc. I believe 30's is a magical decade ;)

    I’m 24 and I’m excited to try these habits! I’ve been going to therapy and learned to put myself first and give myself love. At first I felt guilty about it but I have to be ok with myself first in order to be on with other people. Having notifications off is such a great way to reduce stress now I don’t even worry about replying immediately.
    And yes! People pressure me to drink and I’m like “I’m fine… thank you” and people would think I’m boring but I like having my wine every once in a while. Literally a bottle lasts me months

      @ivanperez4627 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@surlespasdondine I dont want to sound mean towards my people but toxicity is really sneaky in Mexican families, believes and traditions. I had an uncle asking me why I needed therapy if I’m young and don’t have kids. He’s also my manager and expected me to be available to work anytime he’d need me to and that’s why at first I felt guilty about going to therapy cause I’d be expected to put work over therapy and forgot to put myself first

    I also started to do most of these things, especially doing things for your mind. It helps so much to stay calm with kids. The only thing I don't do anymore is essential oils. We had bath bombs with essential oils. I didn't know they contained them. And unfortunately my cat got liver damaged and needed to get put down on January 2nd 2023. I really loved Essentials Oils when I was younger, but now I am just devastated that my fur baby died because of it. So for anyone who doesn't know it. Essentials Oils should not get used at all when you have cats.

    • @HealthNutNutrition
      @HealthNutNutrition  ปีที่แล้ว

      Did your cat eat them? I know there are a couple of oils that cats cant process well.

      @@HealthNutNutrition We think that she did. It was the only thing we used. Essential oils can be so great, but I avoided them after we got pets. After she passed away I went again to the store and asked for the ingredients and they told me they used essential oils in it. It was a present for my kids, so I didn't really think about anything bad, because I always made sure it didn't contain them.
      I hope I didn't come off rude. I love your videos and all the healthy aspects. Just wanted to let other people know that one mistake can cause a life when it comes to pets.

    I try to be really green and not use chemicals especially since I have an autoimmune disease and see a naturopath and that was something they recommended. The biggest thing I cannot seem to find an alternative for that works is for mold in the shower!!! We live in the PNW where it rains a lot and mold is something everyone has to contend with. We tend to get little bits of mold in the grout of our walk-in tiled shower and the only thing that seems to get rid of it is the harsh chemicals. I have literally tried everything!!! Any suggestions?

    I am a Muslim (convert) and it sounds like you are describing how Muslims try to live. We don't drink, eat fairly clean (halal food means if we choose to eat meats or dairy it comes from happy, well care for animals), we "mediate" through prayer or salat five times a day which naturally stretches our bodies, in the Quran we are told to see signs of God in nature so going outside is encouraged, intense is commonly used in cleaning and oils (nonalcoholic perfumes) are used for men when going to Masjid (mosque) on Friday, we follow traditional medicine called the prophetic medicine (like using the miswak or stick toothbrush daily, cupping, acupressure, fasting etc.), for healing sound we hear the Adhan (call to prayer), and we are encouraged to read the seerah (the story of Muhammed's life), books of his companions, and the Quran...these are the best stories I've ever read and I'm a writer, teacher, and bookseller. God and family are the focus but everything is about the connection between you as an individual to God and how you as an individual can help others and make the world a better place, " and enjoin all that is right, and forbid all that is wrong, and be patient in the face of that which afflicts you, verily, that is the most upright of positions." Qur'an 31/17. quran.com/search?page=1&q=Enjoin%20good%20forbid%20evil&translations=131 I'm TTC and these things have been essential in reducing stress and helping me grow as a person. Sound advice Nikole

    I have the same thing with stiff, pain in my neck/shoulders, back. I will be 47 next week! Omg. How did that happen 😳 I feel like when I sleep I am still careful to not turn too fast or oddly or I’ll be out of commission. I work at a desk all day too. I bought a Theragun and it works wonders!! Getting old is so much fun 😒🙄 hahaha no I know, getting older is a privilege. But the aches are awful lol.
