I literally looked up "glover speedrun" expecting some quiet guy in his basement playing since it is not a very popular game, and i found QUITE the opposite, not only is it in GDQ but it is the most hyped speedrun I ever saw at GDQ, it was awesome lol

Holy shit. I used to play this game all the time at my Grandmothers house when I was young. But like I'd completely forgotten it entirely until that moment I heard the "HOHAHAHAHA" when you first enter the hub world in the beginning and I was like "What the actual fuck why do I know that sound so well" Then I saw it and had a flush of memories come to me haha.

I still remember my grandpa taking me to the store and telling me we could buy whatever game I wanted. I chose Glover. I think I never was able to beat this game. I almost forgot about it actually. But as soon as I saw this run so many memories came back to me about this game and it feels like I’m a 6 year old kid again visiting my grandparents in NY. I still remember the carnival and the pool level with the fish crab and whale :) miss my grandparents

When playing this as a kid, I was stuck at the monkey boss. I tried it fo hours, never figuring out how to do damage to the boss. Until I accidentally clipped through the chest and cleared the boss that way. I don't know how I did it, and still have no idea how to beat those guys as intended xD
