I didn't see mention of it in the video. Is one or the other easier to rack? My wife has strength issues in her hands, and that is something we have to take in consideration for a carry firearm for her.
S&W makes an M&P, easy rack slide, or she should get a revolver.@@dorzak975

I just gotta say it’s absolutely amazing Hickok is still making his videos. Been watching this man for what seems like 2 decades.
Between him and Paul Harrell. I always know which guns I can trust my life with
Yeah Hichock 45 been in my life for 12 15 years. Something like that
Damn near.. about 1.5 decades...I was 18 when I found him. I'm 33 now
I hate seeing people you like get old. Only because you know being younger they won't be around when you're old yourself. It's hard to live in the moment in this fast paced working world. And enjoy each day. Need to learn how to freeze or slow time down.
@@jrutman4441 poor Paul, he doesn’t deserve to what’s happening to him. Seems like a good man.
Happy is the man with a range in his backyard!
That aint no lie.👍
Is that Hickok's back yard? The videos sound like its next to a highway.
@@cesarebeccaria7641People's backyards can still be by roads.
My backyard range has plenty of traffic noise too. There's a pretty major state highway adjacent to my property.
Indeed.
Anytime me and my old friends were curious about a gun we would rush to TH-cam to find a hickok45 vid on it. Really takes me back, thank you for guiding us through this hobby, sport, and lifestyle for over a decade. Long live the king, hickok45

Bought the 365 for my wife for Christmas a couple years back. I carry it every day 😅.
Hahaha
Your a bad Santa😂
Ha Ha. My wife bought herself a Shield a few years ago--and I carried it until I got the P365 last year. (My wife never carried the Shield and even at the range preferred the 1911 or Glock 19!)
Wearing my 365 right now.
i am looking for a concealed, 365 vs mp shield. 365 seems attractive
I bought a 365 several years ago, a ‘tac pac’ with 3- 12 round mags and a holster. I have hogue grips on it, they slip just slip on, and it shoots well. I had a problem with it, the slide jammed. I sent it back to Sig and it was repaired and back to me within 2 weeks. A week later someone from Sig called me to make sure everything was OK. Talk about good customer service!
I'm a stickler for good customer service. It carries weight with me.
Nice to hear a comment like yours. Tks.
I love how in a 15 round mag dump on the gong (low, low, low, tree, low, low, low, low, tree, low, low, low, low, low, low) with the camera zoomed in on the target, John doesn't say a word about where all the rounds are impacting. Tough love at the Hickok45 compound.
😂😂😂. In the older hickok videos he never missed that gong, even with the lcp .380. I think the gravitational effect from that tree on the left is messing with the shot😂. Where the heck did that tree come from. I didn't see it in the older videos?
That tree bothered me, too. I wasn't sure which side of it he was shooting on. I think it was left of the tree, but still--need John out there with a chainsaw on that one tree!@@stevedriscoll2539
@@stevedriscoll2539 He has two ranges set up similarly. This one was at the newer range possibly?
That was so funny. I had to rewind the video.🤣😂
I think that's the first time I've ever seen him hit low
Can’t trust Hickok when it comes to muzzle flip b/c his grip and technique is so flawless it’s a no factor to him…but to us mere mortals…oh boyyy

I have the FN Reflex and it's my EDC! It's one of the best carry pistols I've have ever had and I've had many!
Ive had numerous 365’s. all models. BUT i recently bought the Reflex. Been very satisfied. both are great. But i sold the 365 and carrying the Reflex. Trigger is amazing. Carries very good. solid sights and reliable. Love the grip texture and grip angle and the way the gun points. FN made a solid gun. Give it a try.
Love my P365. It shoots incredibly well for it's size. I was shocked my first time out to the range with it.
FN is my EDC. That hammer fired trigger is just amazing for a micro compact.
Several years ago, you made a video of the FNX45 and out of everyone reviewing that firearm...you seemed to have that good ole country truth about how you felt about shooting it. So I jumped on purchasing one. It has been the best firearm (pistol) that I have ever owned. I later bought an FN45, and I'm looking at a 509C now, but now I am thinking perhaps this Reflex might be the ankle pistol I am looking for. I appreciate your reviews, I always thought watching you was like watching a relative or a great friend shooting some guns, sharing what you like...and I like that about you, so I have always respected your reviews.
Check out the 509 mid tactical. Perfect soze and shoots like a dream. To my understanding, FN is rolling out the newest 509 Mids with the new trigger *first*, then all other 509 models besides the Edge
@@jimm7346oh yeah, I bought one and it does shoot like a dream, also pounced on the Reflex…looking like an FN fanboy
I personally have the 509C Tac. The gun runs phenomenal, only gripe I had with it was the trigger when i first got it and size for carry. The trigger was crunchy at first but after 200-300 rds it loosened up and it's my go to for shooting now if you like a little bit bigger of a CCW then get the 509C but if you want smaller go for the reflex. It's personal preference so for me I have larger hands so the 509c was the route I took and love it.
I work for an FFL and we have had two Reflexs come back with cracked frames. Both cracks starting from left of center on the rear of the frame right under the slide and going down the left side of the pistol about 1/3 of the way down. In both cases FN blames remanufactured or reloaded ammunition which of course isn't covered by their warranty but offered the customer a replacement price for a new one for around $380.
Frankly on any other pistol I would think that FN was in the right but I'm one retailer and I've seen two which is like getting struck by lightning while getting eaten by a shark.
Not good news at all.
I had a fn9c, was not impressed, traded my super accurate glock 43 for it and then dumped it at a gun show for a used like new sig 365xl and never looked back. Needless to say the sig was super awesome and super accurate, can't say that about that fn.
@@chevykent77 look up "rubber FN FNX" ittle floor you.
Is the Reflex rated for +P ammo?
@@cesarebeccaria7641 Yes. Yes it is. I'm kind of in the boat that feels it shouldn't matter though. I'm certainly not an expert but my understanding is that proofing is going to put a cartridge through that gun at 30-40% over industry standard pressure. +P is going to generate anywhere from 10-20% more pressure than a standard load. Which means that even if the gun wasn't rated for +P it should handle multiple firings. Do I need to say 'Don't do that under any circumstances'? But the point remains. It IS rated for +P and the frame cracked. It's either the polymer or a bad batch of springs that aren't slowing the slide enough before it runs out of travel. Regardless...two of them? In exactly the same way?
Used to really be a fan of FN pistols. They were my primary pistols and I had quite a few. Sold them off over the years and moved to a more common platform with parts that were more common. These days for carry, the P365XL is my promary. The FN looks like a great option, but FN drops pistol models often it seems and then they are not supported anymore. Not sure how long the reflex will be around.
Did you find yourself having issues with parts on the FN and were they hard to find?
What do you need? Aftermarket support to me isn’t much of a factor at all for what i’ll buy.
I have a 365 I wasn’t to thrilled with. I decided to put the Wilson Combat XL grip on it and it changed the 365 for the better. Not as snappy and the hand fit is excellent. It’s now become a part of my EDC rotation.
That grip really chnged it for me too.
I love the Wilson Combat grip module for the XMacro. I just got mine yesterday and the texture on the front and backstraps is the best stock texture I've felt on a polymer grip module. This is my first Sig and I'd previously shot and carried a Glock for 25 years.
How are you people able to find those grip modules in stock anywhere? I’ve been on waitlists and checking around for weeks now.
@@Venom1933 well, those sold out quickly. I ordered mine December 28th and it was delivered a few days ago.
@@Venom1933 I got mine and another one fora friend on sale sale a few months ago. Those were the standard 365 grips though so I am not sure about the XL.
I carried a P365 for over a year with a 12 round magazine and found it the perfect IWB EDC. On a whim, I bought a WC 365XL grip and I re-fell in love with the gun. About a year after that,, I started missing having an optic, because there was no cut for it. I was floating around my local gun store and saw a new P365XL cut for optics and the ability to co-witness, so I plunked down my money, took it home, put the slide and barrel on my WCXLG, which has an Armory Trigger and spring kit, and added a Holosun 407K green dot, and it was a revelation. The gun is absolutely amazing with the extra 1/2" barrel and the Holosun almost feels like cheating, it's so easy and quick to sight. I can't imagine a better, more reliable, accurate setup in a compact. The Armory trigger and spring kit are much smoother with less creep and a shorter reset than the stock XL, although, surprisingly, the XL was about 1/2 a pound lighter. If I had to recommend a carry gun, my setup is Nirvana, and I feel blessed and confident it's in my waistband.
Don't shoot any of the comped/ported 365 family. I always disliked ported guns, until I shot the Specter comp....oops....don't do it!
I didn't think it would really be that much better....it is.
I found out about this reflex literally 2 days ago and was upset you hadn’t done a full length review of it against the p365. Today low and behold, here it is.
The Hickok god answers all your prayers in due time
Ask for money next time! 😅😊
@@zyzzuschrist3410Damn he’s such a good shot.
Don't worry the gun sucks you can only use certain ammo Fn says it has a break in period of 500 rounds so multiple jams and ftf are to be expected and gun shoots lower left for a 500$ gun you would expect better

Shooting is to me is like pitching. Some days you cannot hit the strike zone, other days you just can't miss.
Both are fine choices for any EDC rotation. I'm not as familiar with the Reflex, but FN usually puts out quality products.
I chose the FN Reflex. It works great and is very accurate.
That's good to hear cuz I'm seriously considering getting one of those.

This man had got me through a really hard time in my life, he has no idea how much his videos about guns helped me out, and convinced me I needed more lol.
Learned my lesson, now I check on the availability of consumable spare parts. Springs, magazines and after market support on accessories such as holsters. Just want to say it is awesome to see you both working together and making these videos. God bless.
I enjoy the straight forward presentation . He has fun while being honest in his opinions.
Never stop making videos, truly informational and entertaining.
I have always wanted a set up like yours...a nice range within my own property
You are a terrific shot 💥 hickok45. That is the most I've seen you missed @ any target. For a minute I thought the range was too long for the micro 9mms. Between the 2 guns I would go with the FN 🤝
I'd hate to be the guy caught trespassing on his land. He'd have time to load a whole mag before the guy got out of his effective range 😂
Always a good day when Hickock posts.
I had issues with the FN Reflex having feeding issues with a variety of ammo brands. It wouldn’t go fully into battery when loading. This issue continued even after 500 rounds. My Sig P365 has never had any failures to feed.
You need to clean and liberate it
I heard that too about the fn. Maybe have to clean the grease off of it and break it in. Not sure give us an update.
I've seen people posting online that the round gets stuck on it's way in the pipe, but it's due to slowly letting the slide forward while racking. You're always supposed to slingshot the slide.
If it's failing to cycle during shooting, seems like a limp-wristing issue.
With a full sized pistol and an optic, I still wouldn't have a fraction of this man's accuracy. Impressive everytime he takes a carry size pistol out to the far steel
I have to agree. I've watched Hickok45 for years and never cease to be amazed at his skill. I think he could sell guns to a Democrat. Heck, yesterday he almost made me want to get an AK47. I recovered, though. I don't need to have another caliber to keep in inventory. .22LR, 9mm, .45acp, and 5.56, plus 20 gauge...is plenty. Got mine (FN Reflex-not optic cut) this week and shall be carrying it with Speer New G2 Gold Dot Carry Gun Ammo 9mm 135-grain HP for self-defense. I shall be using less expensive FMJ 115-grain ammo and other frangible ammo for target shooting and training. In essence, it's whatever makes you happy and is easiest to train with.
I like them both, the cicadas in the background harks me back when I lived in Illinois. Great video Hickok45! I guess this video was shot (pun intended) last summer as the current deep freeze we are all in is not apparent!
Here in Houston it hit 76 yesterday. The low on Tuesday is forecast to be 23. Houses in Houston are built for 98 degree summers, not 23 degree winters.
Picked the P365 X Macro for my CC & I couldn’t be more pleased. My hands are large so the original P365 (which I ended up giving to my wife) is a bit on the small size. When Sig released the X Macro, it was a no brainer. Not micro, but small enough for CC, capacity out of the ying yang, and a darn good back-2-flat muzzle flip
I carry the P365x. I love it. The little bigger grip is perfect for me. I bet I’d like the FN too.
The night sights on the p365x are a nice touch too. Plus twelve round magazines.
Put my 365 away six months ago, and now carry the FN Reflex. No regrets, it is a great carry pistol!
Why?
Lmao why
@@xRyden420x The 365 is a great pistol and I have one each in 9mm and .380. For some reason, the Reflex just seems to fit my hand better and I like the trigger. They are extremely close in accuracy, etc., so I think it is just a matter of individual taste. What feels better in your hand. A personal choice and certainly not a dig at the great 365.
Hellcat more reliable than Reflex and P365
@@OmarGonzalez-gx1ks is there any data to back that up
It’s so interesting to see all the leaves on the trees and hear the cicadas chirpin in the middle of January down there in Tennessee. Seems nice

New York reload, I like it.
That opening audio had me halfway across the room fixing to dive behind the couch jeeeesus! 😂
I’ve always been a FN fan. It goes way back to when I started quail hunting with my dad and grandfather in the 70’s. You felt special having a FN made A5. I bought a beautiful featherweight O/U about 12 years ago. The fit and finish are incredible.
Totally agree on the FN trigger--that's the big reason I prefer it to the Sig, though I also prefer the ergonomics and recoil impulse.
Isn’t the reset on the trigger very long? Makes it a bit more unpleasant to shoot.
Had both.. Sig has better sights and finish. You can make the 365 into whatever you want...FN is also a great choice..
I think Hickok is successful because he can connect with all people. Heck, he has my wife watching his videos. He never goes overboard when he doesn't like a gun. He just lets you know he doesn't care for it. I've bought a few guns based on his reviews. He is the best gun guy on TH-cam.
I thought you were wearing an H-dial buckle there. 😂
Great vid, as always. Hoping to buy my first pistol soon. So many options out there.
I'm a Gunsmith and Licensed FFL dealer, I took a stock P365 and totally rebuilt it with a Wilson Combat Trigger Module (Frame) and A Mcarbo flat faced short stroke trigger and spring kit. rebuilt slide as well using Mcarbo recoil rod and spring safety plunger and spring. with a Holosun 507k (Green). its now my favorite carry choice
One reason I still carry a p290rs is bc it's hammer fired. It also has the restriking ability which I consider a plus. Thanks for sharing
Chances are if a primer doesnt fire on the first its bad, I would think right?
P290RS is so good. It shoots very well for its small size, the trigger is perfect, and a thumb on the hammer is good for holstering.
@@jeedwards1981 Yes, possibly due to defective high-quality ammunition, but more likely due to junky, cheap ammo or some goof "modifying" the springs or trigger assembly.
@@dashcammer4322 my greater point being second strike capability is overrated. be better off to eject and grab the next round IMHO
U.S. Army did tests and found that 50% of failures to fire did fire on the second trigger pull and 80% fired on the third. That was the thinking behind that requirement that had the Sig P226 and Beretta in the competition that Beretta won. Clearly they've dropped that requirement since they're now using a striker fired gun.
P365 for me. Best feeling gun other than a 1911 (for me). I prefer the smaller grip size because I'm more ham handed
If you install a Wilson Combat P365 grip module on the P365 it makes a noticeable difference in feel for the better. And they are fairly cheap and easy to install. Particularly if you have bigger hands
Yeah, I have one on one of mine. I do prefer it over the stock frame.
I replaced my x macro grip module with the Wilson Combat 365 XL model and my p365 is more concealable and I just like it alot. To me the shape and texturing is perfect. I really like my p365
I do agree I love the way it fits in my hand.
I own a P365 XL which came with a Romeo 0 sight and afterwards i bought a Streamlight light. It was very difficult to find a decent holster for this package. After 1000 rounds ive had not a single misfire. Its great to have 12 9mm rounds in such small gun. I still have my little Bersa with 7 .380 ACP rounds.
Neptune concealment
Fn reflex 100%
I was debating between the reflex and shield plus
The fn trigger really sold it for me when both were in my hand.
For optics, the fn has a better than the shield as well.
The shield doesn’t have a rail, so your options are limited if you want a light.
I paid $160 more for the fn, and don’t regret it at all.
Both are good choices...I have owned an FN 503 for several years that's excellent. However both of these and my FN are still too big for pocket carry in jeans( smaller pockets than cargo pockets that any of these can be carried); the best pistol for me for extraction from pocket carry of jeans is the old Berretta Nano which has edges smoother than butter, extremely accurate and has always shot after 1000's of rounds with 124 grain or above( all the notorious functions issues of FTE/FF are from using 115 grain); trigger isn't the best but it doesn't affect accuracy with practice. IWB carry I go to Springfield Model 2 3.3 .45.
P365, p365xl, p365macro I've got something for all occasions with no reason to buy yet another platform in hopes to gain some mythical advantage. Plus the after market for the p365 is hands down better.
Look a shiny, new thing!
@dashcammer4322 "...a shiny new thing" That's how the "news media" works since 2008.
I wont carry a gun if i cant get all my fingers on the grip. Really makes a big difference for me in terms of accuracy. Thats why i never got the P365. The FN with the pinky extension mag may work for me but I am not really in the market for another carry gun right now. Happy with my current daily and the other options I have.
I am with you about a floating pinky, I thought same thing when holding the short 10 rd mag in the P365, but with the 12 rd or 10 rd with extension mags it let’s my pinky sit just right. There’s a 15 rd mag as well but for pocket carry gets to long. Don’t think you can go wrong with either platform, I carry the 365 daily, it felt so good when looking for a new edc, especially comparing to the similar sized blocks.
Went to the range and then watched this and realized I suck even more than I thought.
I vote the FN. I noticed you adjust your grip on the Sig. Looks like you are more natural with the FN. I love my Hk VP9SK.
Just got the regular one and love it
@@dillonbrown2956 It is madness. I have every iteration of the full size. It has become my primary pistol.
Thank ya sir.
Had both... Sig was easier to shoot. Sig is so versatile with it's removable fire control unit 👍
That's a Sig edge. I have two P365 frames--the original and an XL. The XL frame cost $50 and took five minutes to swap. I may try another or an aftermarket frame. The Sig got to market early and generated enough sales to justify lots of accessories by Sig and 3rd parties. FN makes high quality products, but their Reflex is a bit late to a market saturated with S&W Shields and P365's, plus a couple million Rugers and SA's...and in an anti-gun political environment. I'm pretty sure you won't be able to buy one in California, for example.
All that said, if they offer it with a manual thumb safety, I'll be tempted (just don't mention it to my wife!)
@@cesarebeccaria7641 Kimber r7 Mako true ambi
Just wanted to say I like the new thumbnail overhaul that started a couple weeks ago, looks great!
The whole point of hammer fired is the sa/da and the external hammer manipulation. striker or hammer is irrelevant in this case. I have the FNS 40 (striker) myself which can use the same mags as my FNX 40 full size
I'm not sold on the internal hammer yet either.
Thanks, Bending. I was hesitant to ask about that. Exactly my thinking.
I have the 365, the 365 XL and the Hellcat. Shoot each week. Actually my favorite is the Beretta APX A1 carry single stack. Best Serrations and grip texture I have ever used on a small Micro. Carried the Nano's for years. Over 18k through one of them. Also the mildest shooting of all. Beretta continued to improve the Nano all along the way. A serious built gun. I may get the Flex. Looks good from the Pictures, but would have to shoot one first.
Hellcat pro is my current edc, 3.7" barrel for good velocity with HP, polished double feed ramp for stupid reliability with ALL AMMO and ofc its SLIM and compact for comfort 👍 P365 is a fantastic firearm but id never personally carry a 3.1" barrel, as Clint Smith says carry the biggest gun you can conceal
The p365 series goes from 3.1" to 3.7" with 4.25" threaded brrl. available. Also has 10rd, 12rd, 15rd, or 17rd mags. You can choose just how big it is.
Not that you'll gain anything over the hellcat, all micro 9mms are basically the same in performance.
@@heinzamatic there is trade offs though, to gain 15 rounds on the p365 or xl it requires a extended mag which sticks out quite a bit vs hellcat pro, plus as I said the hellcat has a polished double feed ramp, and no rust issue complaints like the sigs, also no broken firing pin complaints which seemed to have now been fixed by sig on the p365s, I owned a p365 for a bit, nice pocket pistol and shoots good, xmacro is the best version to come out of the p365 lineup, but that slide comp is kinda a gimmick of sorts, plus that comp will reduce velocity which is already hindered by the 3.1" barrel that comes in the xmacro, there is always pros and cons but in my opinion, hellcat pro fits the sweet spot!!!
The P365 with it's 3.1" barrel is perfect for CC. Anything larger is less likely to be carried, and thus you are less likely to have it when needed. To each their own....My primary 9mm sidearm is the Walther PDP, but I do not attempt to conceal carry that.
I unfortunately got an FN Reflex with stovepipe issues every few rounds. They are a great company and they will get it all working. They are sending me a box to send it back under warranty. I can't wait for it to be 100% like the rest of my FNs.
Haven't tried the FN, but like the 365. Only issue with the 365 is that it didn't feed hollowpoints well. Ended up getting a match grade barrel and it feeds them fine now.
I have the p365 and had a problem with bore rusting but only the first 3/8. Had to change to ZP flush crown barrel which is ghey but whatever it's gtg now.
Which manufacturer did you go with for the barrel?

I’ve hoped you would do that comparison video. Thanks for your work! Love it.
The P365 has the option of a manual safety while the Reflex doesn't. If it wasn't for that fact I'd probably consider a Reflex as well.

Worth waiting for. They might get some other refinements by then, too. @@danelio
Renting both at my local range, I also had a hard time choosing between the two. I’m 76 and a bit arthritic, and the FN does have an easier slide. However, the FN doesn’t come with a manual safety, which is important to me. On my Shield, I turn the safety off once the gun is holstered, but I keep it on when handling the gun. I’m buying the Sig.

I wasn't happy with my P365XL accuracy and was blaming myself. No matter how much I practiced I was hitting a 10 inch target at 20 yds. Maybe 5 times out of 10 rds. Then I switched to an after market barrel from True Precision. Wow what a difference 10 out of 10 hits every time.
Most Hollow points are not great for long range and tend to feather off to the side from what I understand. Your aim is still good buddy :)
After a lot of research on compact/sub-compact 9mm pistols for edc, I bought the FN Reflex yesterday. I can’t wait to take it out for few hundred rounds. I usually carry a 4” Kimber 1911 and I love .45acp but that got real heavy, real fast.
Why I quit with my Glock 30. Was heavy and made it feel bulkier even with the 10 rd mag in. I loved having a .45 so small with so many rounds and being able to use the G21 13 round mags with it, and was the most accurate and best pistol I ever shot with. I just needed to go lighter and a lil smaller. It’s way more comfy to carry my Reflex, I sometimes forget it’s there. Couldn’t do that with the G30!
Would love to see you do a shoot & review of the IWI Masada Slim in 9mm. A lot of folks seem to really like this pistol, and some actually prefer it to the Sig P365.
ANYTHING IMI is great!
The FN reflex replaced the 365 in my regular carry rotation. It’s definitely a great subcompact.
Sig 365 is my daily carry.
I've been a fan for a long time and have not commented. I appreciate the content!
sieg = win
sauer = mad
sauer sieg= mad win
I had a p365xl i liked it but it was on the larger side to conceal so i traded it on the regular p365 and i love it its light and conceals easily and handles well. The hogue overmold really makes the gun feel great.
HK > the rest
I gave up the the 365 for the Hk usp compact
Haven’t regretted it one bit
nice pistol :)
HK USP9C is the best of the best
Why did you give up the p365? Was something wrong with it?
@@DadMadeToys
I finally got a usp compact and started testing it out. It’s a total legend and it lived up to its name. Not one malfunction with any ammo. Total reliability. It’s a tank. And it’s going to outlast probably anything else made today. And I trust it a lot lot lot more than sig. I loved my 365 but I didn’t trust it for 365 days, I always worried about it in the back of my mind.
also like mine but it dont like fiochii duty EMB ammo fail to extract every second or third round with 4 different mags but who cares all the other ammo works @@CannonCountry
I held a Reflex today and it felt great, but I’ve never seen Hickock be so far off the mark when shooting at the gong.
I've never shot the 365, any of them. Not because I have anything against them, just haven't had an opportunity to try one. Two of my favorite pistols are Sig's, a West German P228, and a P239. They've functioned flawlessly. I currently have three FN's, a FNX, a FNS, both full size, and a FNS 9C. All three are great pistols. They feel good in hand, shoot well, and I like to take them to the range for some plinking. Thing is, I've carried and practiced with Glocks so long that they are my edc no matter where I go. They are what I am most accustomed to and I know they're going to function if the need arises. That's what it's all about. No fancy fiber optic sights, no red dots, my eyes just don't get along with them. I'm not saying they're bad, just not for me. I've experimented with nearly all the aftermarket triggers, springs, adjustable trigger blocks to adjust pretravel and reset, firing pins, at one point a company came out with a multi spring recoil rod for the gen 3 model 19, supposed to reduce felt recoil and muzzle flip, i couldn't tell a difference. You name it. I tried some version of it. What I found was I like Talon grips, glock 3.5 lb connector, and sand and polish by hand all the internal metal parts till they look like a mirror which make contact with each other during firing. That includes the slide rails and the firing ramp. I know it's not necessary for a Glock to work, but I just like that smooth as glass feeling. I have a very early model 19 that's been shot no telling how many thousands of rounds before I bought it (and it looks like it's been through a mud hole backwards) and I've shot it a couple thousand rounds since I bought it, and it's got that same smooth as silk action and trigger.
I digress, 365,or FN? Go try them out, see what you prefer. That's all 😊🇺🇸
I love the pause to hit the gong. Both great guns and i feel any owner of either should sleep well with a fine choice.
I have them both. They’re both great.
I like the lighter slide tension you get with a hammer fired action.
I'm no expert, but isn't that more a function of the recoil spring?
the Canik MC9 is bascially same size and is striker fired with a fantastic trigger! It may knock the FN off the top of your list.
The fact that it’s striker and not hammer means that it definitely won’t knock FN off the top
@snowfox4277 ok. I wasn't commenting to you, but ok. Enjoy your FN.
I just bought a Fn reflex today can’t wait till I pick it up🔥🔥
🤷 I chose the P365 lol
I do like the looks of the reflex a little better but it’s just too new!; oh yeah and I like the chassis system a lot better to put different grip modules
my favorite is still the Hi Point 9mm... one of Hickok45's best videos
He made a bullet sized ditch low left of the gong. 😅
Hitting that gong with the 10 round mag is a feat onto itself. Crazy.
Difficult choice. But I guess I hae to go with the Canik Mete MC9.
Your son is funny when he said that this is a great gun for "Da-Fence". I chose the P-365. Because I already have one. I'm a shooter, not a collector.
I'm not a collector either, but somehow I've accumulated eight pistols, two rifles and a shotgun, plus two automatic knives. I'm afraid buying guns is like eating potato chips.
@@cesarebeccaria7641 I'll have to agree. I want more too, but I have to watch my cholesterol.
The FN Reflex is definitely in my rotation. I also like the Kimber R7 Mako and breaking in the Mossberg MC2SC. I could care less about the P365. For me, as a relatively new shooter, it's definitely the barrel length that makes the difference. It's been my little experience, anything under 3.4 inches, I shoot like crap.
kimber is junk. I have 2-365's both are great. the kimber is very brittle frame wise. No fn, Sprinfield or s&w 4 me.
@@willford9205 It's all good, brother. Different strokes for different folks. Peace. 🙏
Which do you prefer between the Reflex and Kimber Mako R7 and why? I’m trying to decide between the two.
@@jeffmcclard8373 It’s a tough call tbh. I find that I’m a tad more accurate with the Mako from 21-feet. The triggers are different, with the Mako, there is little “take up,” whereas with the Reflex there is more. I’ve shot the Mako more, as it has been around earlier, and it has the bundle with the extra mags. The Reflex is newer, and it was difficult getting mags, thus, I didn’t have as much time with it.
Somethings I’ve noticed with the Mako: it seems to have a lighter trigger pull, and I’ve found every once in awhile, I would fire a quick round unintentially. That was something that was found with the Mako, which i think Kimber was fixing. I’ve shot around 1K +/-. I’d say around 500 rounds or so, if you haven’t cleaned it, it starts having problems loading, and the slide doesn’t go into battery. But, if you clean it after going to the range, it should be fine. I’ll also say that the front sight did come loose and was lost, and the rear sight did become ajar, and mis-aligned. But, I’ve also noticed that with some of my other pistols. With that said, I’m fairly more accurate with it.
I haven’t had the chance to shoot extensively with the Reflex yet; I’d say less than 200 rounds, so I can’t comment on any issues it may or may not have.
As a frame of reference, accuracy for me means a 2-inch grouping. Hope this helps.
I put a Hogue Handall grip on the P365XL. That improved the grip, and with some careful trimming, made the Sig Lima laser usable, too. The Sig is available with a manual thumb safety, while the FN is not, and for me, that rules out the FN. There is a reason the U.S. military has required a manual safety for 125 years: Bleep happens, and sometimes that bleep is beyond your control. Anyway, with a S&W Shield and the Sig P365, I'm sufficiently stocked with little 9mm pistols.
Believe the reflex is internal hammer fired almost like the pull on a revolver so doesn't really need a manual safety like a striker fired gun.
Safety is needed on the sig because they shoot themselves without the trigger being pulled
"There is a reason the U.S. military has required a manual safety for 125 years” For 20 years we holstered our Beretta 92FS with one in the chamber, safety off every day going on duty. The de-cocker was nice to have though. However, I realize not every branch was not trusted to carry that way.
